My youngest daughter has been at Rainbow for 16 months now and loves her time there. The staff are very caring and enthusiastic and provide a wonderful range of activities each day. It has been so important for her to have a couple of days of "normal" each week during Covid, particularly the opportunity
to socialise with her peers and other adults. She started off quite shy but her confidence has really improved.
I couldn't be happier with Rainbow and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Rainbow Day Nursery, is a wonderful and beautiful place. My daughter has been there since she was 6 months old she is now 3. The farm is beautiful and the grounds of the nursery are amazing.
Staff are excellent at teaching the children while having fun, my daughter could do her ABC at 2 years old.
The
staff are very welcoming and friendly they will tell all about your child's day and what they had to eat. They also help out a lot with potty training.
I would highly recommend this nursery.

They provide excellent care with safety coming first. They think of ingenious things for child development and focus on independent and expanding a child's social skills. They have great facilities and the environment is always clean and refreshed with new materials and toys. The staff are friendly
and very professional. They provide a varied and healthy menu and they are very accommodating to your child's needs and wants.
I would only send any future children to Rainbow and would highly recommend.

My son started at Rainbow at 9-months-old and is now just about to leave for 'big school' aged 4. It has been a wonderful journey for him and fantastic experience for us as parents, so I really cannot recommend the staff, carers, and environment at Rainbow enough.
Loads of engaging activities, great
learning opportunities, bags of outside space to explore, a farm, a maze, a bus, brilliant play areas and carers who provide the support, encouragement and boundaries needed, what more could a growing boy want!
The management team's handling of the reinstatement of service following lockdown was fantastic, providing all the information and reassurance needed to be able to send him back to nursery without concern. Every engagement I had with them has always been professional and impressive.
His key carers through the years have always been very approachable, knowledgeable and I have never had doubts that he is in great hands.
Thank you Rainbow for providing him with a great start in life.

So at the beginning of lockdown, my son's nursery closed.
Worried about his progression due to him having ASD and him being recognised as vulnerable, he was offered a place at Rainbow's nursery, and I can honestly say it was the best thing that ever happened for us.
He has completely grown and progressed
in ways I didn't see possible, and that's all thanks to the staff at Rainbows; they have been so accommodating to his needs and his 1-2-1 sessions with the two girls are amazing?
He's so happy to go in every morning, which is obviously a bonus. He's singing new words and a very happy little boy.
I'm so happy with this nursery, and anyone looking for a day nursery for their child should definitely look at Rainbows.

My son has been attending Rainbow nursery since he turned 1, so has been there for nearly 4 years now. My younger son has also attended for the last 18 months. I am very happy with Rainbow and the quality of care my little ones receive. All the different carers they have had over the year groups have
been amazing. The grounds are excellent, and the kids always seem to have had great days when I collect them. There are many activities, games, toys, messy play, allotments, the farm...every day is an adventure at Rainbow! The way that they have dealt with COVID has been brilliant. Keeping parents well informed and putting procedures in place to get the little ones back to nursery in a safe and efficient manner. Both of my little ones have settled back in amazingly well, which is a testament to how they feel about the nursery.

Big thank you to the Rainbow team who accommodated my little one during the COVID crisis. My 11-month-old adjusted super quick and adores all the girls at Rainbows. Lovely staff, beautiful nursery with large spaces and excellent response to all of our concerns. Highly recommend!

My son has been attending Rainbow since 2018 and is 3 years old. My twin girls who are 10 months have just started.

I am a key worker and have returned to work as my maternity leave has finished. Returning to work after maternity leave is an anxious time but with the current climate, it brings with

it so many more anxieties. Not only were the girls going for the first time, my son had not been for 6 weeks.

We have always been happy with Rainbow but the way they have been during this period of time has only confirmed that they are a fantastic nursery. All of the girls working there are wonderful, welcoming and show such care for all the children. I was worried that no one would ever be able to tell my twin girls apart and they’d become one person, that just has not happened and they are very much individuals.

It has provided us with an element of normal back into our lives in such a strange time.

My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Rainbow Day Nursery and truly enjoys going in every day. After a tearful first few weeks, my daughter now happily walks in and waves me goodbye excited to see what exciting new things she will do each day. Could not recommend Rainbow Day Nursery enough.

We moved our son to Rainbows in Lyne after a bad experience with another nursery and reading great reviews for Rainbows. From day one, we saw a great improvement in our son's behaviour and attitude. This was all down to the great, kind, caring and dedicated staff who really helped with his happiness
and wellbeing. I can't speak highly enough of all the staff and especially the Manager. They are constantly thinking of new ideas to educate and entertain the children.

My son started to attend Rainbow Nursery from July. He is behind in his learning and speech development but we have seen a tremendous improvement in him in the past few months. This is all down to the great support, patience and knowledge of special needs children from the staff and carers at Rainbow.
We
are also very pleased with the facilities especially the vast outdoor area for play and education.
My son loves going to nursery every day, playing and learning under excellent care.

I’ve had three children attend Rainbow and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. All of my children have loved their time there and made such progress in their learning, confidence and social skills. The facilities and outdoor space is excellent, and the children get to do a really wide range of activities.
The biggest asset though is the staff - they are always so welcoming, kind and genuinely care about the children they look after. A really lovely nursery.

Rainbow stood out as a choice for us with its fantastic grounds and facilities for the children but also the clear support and care the children receive.
Our child is extremely happy being at Rainbow, learning new things every day, bringing them out of their shell and making friends.
As much as they
focus on development, they also allow them to be children and enjoy their days!
Thank you, Rainbow for making parenting a lot easier for us, knowing our child is cared for.

We started when my little one was ten months old. As she had travelled quite a lot prior to her start date she had a very difficult time settling in. All the staff were very positive and although it took more than the usual days to settle in, her carers have been extremely patient and have given much
more attention. I was very worried initially because of my little one crying and screaming mostly but I was given confidence and encouraged to continue further. Two months down the line, she is very comfortable and playful and now enjoys her days. They have different kinds of activities and the place is clean. They also give a detailed run through at the end of the day. Very happy I chose Rainbow Nursery and will definitely recommend.

My son is attending Rainbow and has been since he was one. My daughter who is only three months is already signed up to start when she turns one. The staff are wonderful, very caring competent and obviously adored by my son. He has been incredibly well taken care of and the nursery have even accepted
additional training for some staff to give my son special medical treatment if he has a seizure. They really do go above and beyond to take the best care of your children.
He loves it at Rainbow and is always entertained, gets lots of outdoor time, which he loves, and has learnt so much from the organised activities.
I would definitely recommend this nursery.

Absolutely wonderful nursery. The staff are so friendly and attentive to the children. Our son enjoyed his time here so much and he always came home happy. The staff always knew what he had been up to for the day, what he had eaten, and how he had been and they would always take the time to feed that
back. Rainbow has played a crucial role in our son's development at such an important time in his life and we would not hesitate to trust them with that again. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a nursery.

Our eldest son will be leaving Rainbow Nursery this summer after nearly four wonderful years. The nursery has been fantastic, lovely and loving carers, great opportunities, firm friends made. The nursery has unusually large and varied grounds which mean the children get to spend a lot of time outside
when the weather is good - and even when it's not so good they're not afraid to bundle them into raincoats and find some puddles to splash in. There seems to be a good balance of education, activity and fun. Carers are loving and good-humoured but don't shy away from discipline and try to instil independence in the children. Fortunately, our younger son is still only two, so we have another couple of years of Rainbow even after our eldest starts school.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.927)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.927) out of 10 for Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 44 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 44 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.945 for Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School is calculated as follows: ( (500 Excellents x 5) + (23 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 526 Ratings = 4.945
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.982 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School is based on 44 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 224 number of registered child places is 44.8. 44 Positive Reviews ÷ 44.8 = 0.982
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
