Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School provides an exceptional environment and a wonderful quality of care and development for babies and young children from three months up to five years of age. It is their aim to ensure that children 'graduate' to Big School having grown into confident, caring, independent people who are prepared in every way for the next stage of life's learning journey.

Rainbow children enjoy five acres of gardens including nine well-equipped, enclosed, all-weather playgrounds, their own animal sanctuary, galleon, Teletubby hill, allotments, and a children's maze. They also have a double-decker bus, a farm classroom and Forest School sessions are run everyday whatever the weather.

A highly qualified team of staff draw upon a huge range of knowledge, experience and resources to ensure that the children get the maximum learning and development out of enjoying themselves, playing and having fun.

My daughter started at Rainbow at 9 months old and has been there ever since. She goes three full days and has been in 5 different classrooms in total and has enjoyed every day. The care the staff provide is amazing and the outdoor facilities are incomparable with anywhere else I have seen. They have
an allotment and a farm, as well as plenty of other outdoor activities and the children, get fresh air and time to play in a safe environment. There is a great balance between learning and play and the food is of a high standard. Each day we get a great overview of what has been done that day and my daughter has developed in so many ways due to the time she has spent with her Rainbow family. I would certainly recommend without hesitation to anyone.

Rainbow Nursery truly offers a safe, conducive and fun learning environment for children. We decided on Rainbow Day Nursery out of the 6 nurseries that we visited in the area and what an amazing choice we made. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and pay attention to the needs of the children by taking
into consideration the children’s individuality. The children are offered different learning opportunities and their outdoor space which is very well utilised is any child’s dream. They also instil and emphasise positive values in the children.


The nursery offers an open door policy and will carefully consider comments, concerns and suggestions and act on it accordingly.


They have proven to be very reliable as I have experienced this when I have had to make last-minute childcare requests and they will make reasonable efforts in such situations.


Their staff retention is commendable as this offers children the much-needed stability.

The nursery has amazing grounds. I strongly believe that it is critical to a child development to play outside, my little boy has been spoiled!
The team looking after the toddlers is also excellent. Amiable, caring and kind.

A fantastic nursery which has allowed my son to thrive. All staff are friendly and know my son by name, the care has been brilliant and they have always handled my son in a fantastic way, channelling his cheeky behaviour into productive activities! Their facilities are fantastic from the huge outdoor
space to a range of different activities every day! Rainbow have always been professional and I would recommend the nursery.

Sending my two children to Rainbow's was one of the best decisions I ever made. A beautiful nursery, with stunning grounds, strong principles and where the children's safety and happiness is paramount. Our son has attended Rainbow since December 2015. He is a confident happy little boy in part thanks to Rainbow and their supportive approach to care.
The outside space is second to none and ideal for a boisterous three and a half year old with loads of energy!
I know that he will miss nursery when
he leaves to go to school next year.

We have been extremely happy with the care our child has received at Rainbow Day Nursery. There are wonderful facilities with a farm, lots of toys, playgrounds, allotments and a double-decker bus. They are always doing interesting activities, particularly messy play and they also try and make it educational.


The staff are professional and caring, and take pride in their work. The children all seem happy. I wholly recommend Rainbow.


My only disappointment is that I learnt that they used to provide French classes but that these are no longer available. They do however provide a music class, which my child loves.

Absolutely happy with Rainbow facilities and staff. Everyone is very friendly, always sharing a smile, which is what our little ones need and us adults too!!!! The outdoor areas are fascinating, my daughter who is almost 2 and started about 2 months ago enjoys playing outside most of the day when the
weather allows it! She loves animals and going to the farm is one of her favourite activities, she just managed to overcome her fear and fed the little horsies this week!!!! I feel so proud about it. I want her to grow as a person who cares about nature and Rainbow is definitely one of the best places to be in contact with nature! Settling in was much easier and quicker than we expected, so very happy with it!

My son and my daughter have both attended Rainbow from the ages of about 1 year through to leaving to start school. When we were looking for a suitable nursery we looked at a number of different ones in our area and even though Rainbow was not the most convenient for us to get to we knew that the children
had to go there! The setting itself is beautiful, an old Priory property, with a large amount of outside space for the children which was a real deciding factor for us as we wanted the children to have lots of outdoor time. Rainbow have a great policy that even it's raining they get the kids in their waterproof gear and get out there so they get outdoor time. The staff are incredible from the owners through to the caretaker! We have felt confident in leaving the children with every carer they have and know that they will be looked after and given great experiences throughout their days there. We would highly recommend Rainbow to anyone looking for a nursery.

We have been absolutely delighted with the nursery ever since our son started there when he was 2. We have a daughter who we put in at 13months. Having had childminders in the past we found our children to be more settled at Rainbow. We eventually stopped the childminder as we felt the support, learning
and care was better suited at Rainbow.
We love the outside space that they have access to. The farm is our daughter's favourite and our son loves playing in the maze.
The staff are friendly, always saying 'hello' whether they know us or not. They are always really concise with the end of day handover; detailing what they have done, enjoyed, not enjoyed, eaten etc. The early years file is always available to us.
Our son leaves in Sept to go to school and we will be very sad. Rainbow have really supported him (he had a speech delay, when he started he only used a few words, now he is thriving), they encouraged his speech through many learning techniques, phonics, storytelling and patience.

My daughter is about to leave Rainbow to start school and I'm heartbroken! She has attended Rainbow since she was 9 months old. It used to be on my way to work, but following a change of workplace I now go in the opposite direction to get her there. No other nursery, in my opinion, comes close to
what Rainbow can offer; from the fun stuff to the facilities available, to the welcoming atmosphere, you get with absolutely everyone from the maintenance guys to the owners. A nursery that is second to none.

Our three children have all attended this day nursery, two of whom currently attend. We picked this nursery because of the amazing facilities and outdoor space it has, however, what has made us stay with Rainbows are the people, all of whom are fantastic. There is no bigger decision that you can take
for your children than their education and I feel strongly that Rainbows provide a great start for early years.
On a more personal note, our daughter attended Rainbows from nine months to five years old. During this time she was diagnosed with severe learning difficulties and suffered numerous seizures. This was a very difficult time for our family, however, the Rainbows team were all very supportive in pushing for additional help being an inclusive childcare provider. I am unsure if she would have received this level of support elsewhere. Our two sons currently attend and have fantastic key workers who we would like to acknowledge. Thanks.

My son and I LOVE Rainbow Nursery. He is so excited to go "see friends" and his carers whom he tells me are his friends too. His carers always greet him with a smile and joyful attitude. He is so excited to see everyone that he sometimes just runs off without looking back or even saying goodbye. I love
hearing him talk about his day, how he has painted, looked at the ponies or rabbits, rode bikes, planted in the garden, etc. I love that there seems to be so much outside time.


Rainbow is great at documenting what your child does daily. I love receiving art projects that have been laminated and dated. In just one year my son has developed so much. I am sad to be moving away from such a great place! As much as I will miss it, I know my son will miss it so much more. We will never find another place like it.

Rainbow Nursery is really excellent! My daughter has been there for 2 years and loves it. She's currently in the Bears room for 2-3-year-olds and the carers in that room are amazing! They are really great with the kids - so caring! They do so many fun projects with the kids and I'm constantly impressed
with what my daughter is learning. There are really great outdoor facilities at Rainbow with the farm, the maze and all the different play areas. The only reason I didn't put value for money as excellent is because I find all nurseries in the area very expensive. Thank you Rainbow for taking such good care of my daughter!

My son attended Rainbows for just over 2 years and loved every moment he was there. As a parent, I was at ease knowing my son was being properly cared for and learning and developing in a safe controlled environment. Rainbow is a wonderful nursery with lovely caring staff who I felt really cared for
my son. They do lots of activities with the children to help their learning and development, I saw new development in my son on a weekly basis from things he had learnt. The nursery has huge grounds outside for the children to play in and my son loved the little farm with the animals as well. Rainbow is a wonderful nursery and I can't recommend enough to people.

My eldest son attended Rainbow Nursery and my youngest son currently still attends. We couldn't be happier with the standard of childcare they provide. All staff and management make you feel welcome and will always say hello and make your child feel special. The indoor and outdoor space is amazing and
the children learn so much. My boys especially like the maze and the farm areas, not to mention the fun bus!


I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a unique environment where your child will thrive in. Most of the time my youngest doesn't want to leave to come home!

Our 2 children went to Rainbow for 2+ years each and we were very happy they did. They were loved and cared for every day.


My son left to start school in September 2017! So we had to say goodbye to wonderful Rainbow.
Our son's extra needs were noticed and investigated immediately. We were consulted

and helped every step of the way. We knew that they had his best interests at heart. They loved, comforted and helped him grow each day.


The management team are professional and take their responsibilities to the children and parents seriously! They are friendly, helpful, supportive, understanding and respectful.
The vast property itself is wonderful and looked after with pride. The children love to go out and everyone gets to enjoy the outdoors - most of the time - weather permitting.
I think this is an exceptional nursery and I definitely recommend Rainbow.
Thank you to everyone at Rainbow for everything they have done for our angels individually, together and us as a family.
