Rainbow Day Nursery & Pre-School provides an exceptional environment and a wonderful quality of care and development for babies and young children from three months up to five years of age. It is their aim to ensure that children 'graduate' to Big School having grown into confident, caring, independent people who are prepared in every way for the next stage of life's learning journey.

Rainbow children enjoy five acres of gardens including nine well-equipped, enclosed, all-weather playgrounds, their own animal sanctuary, galleon, Teletubby hill, allotments, and a children's maze. They also have a double-decker bus, a farm classroom and Forest School sessions are run everyday whatever the weather.

A highly qualified team of staff draw upon a huge range of knowledge, experience and resources to ensure that the children get the maximum learning and development out of enjoying themselves, playing and having fun.

Both my sons were at nursery from 11 months until when they started school, with my youngest starting school in September 2016, and during their time they were both extremely happy. Rainbow is a fantastic nursery. What initially attracted me was the amazing outside space, which they certainly made their
most of over the time they were there, with lots of time in the gardens, playgrounds and maze, growing plants, feeding the animals and going on bug hunts. In addition, the support and development they received when in Swans (pre-school) was excellent. Overall the care they received was second to none and they bonded with many of their key workers extremely well. I was extremely comfortable with my children being there whilst my husband and I were at work knowing they were in excellent hands. Would recommend without question.

This is an amazing nursery that exposes children to cooking, cleaning, sharing, growing vegetables, caring for animals, to name but a few. My son loved every minute he spent there and I was always given feedback about his day when I went to collect him. There are numerous play areas, an allotment
and even a maze. It has a double decker play bus for the over 2's. Despite there being so many children attending, they are all in age-appropriate classrooms and it always felt quite intimate when you dropped off or picked up. It is a very well organised nursery that I am missing already. I left there, in August, with three lovely books detailing my son's days, along with pictures and details. Amazing journals that I treasure and he will look back at in years to come. I would recommend this nursery to anybody.

All things considered an amazing environment in which children can be cared for and can develop. Many happy memories and milestones during the four years in which our son attended Rainbow. Nurseries need to work with authorities to ensure the on-going development and retention of committed Key Workers
in this important role.

Both my children thrived at Rainbow. I was particularly impressed with the pre-school team (Swans) where the staff always seemed to go above and beyond to meet the needs of both my son and daughter; they helped me feel reassured they were in excellent hands, providing the appropriate support both socially

Our little boy has attended Rainbow for the last 9 months. At first, we were very impressed with the facilities but it wasn't until after he started attending we realised what a gem we had found!
The care he received is second to none - the key workers worked closely with us to help our little boy
settle well and later on get through the unsettling time of welcoming a new addition to our family. The best thing about Rainbow is the staff - our boy was not only safe and happy but also loved!


Thank you, Rainbow for helping him to grow and develop into a confident and happy child.

My son has absolutely loved his time at Rainbow nursery. He has bonded well with the staff, who are very attentive and have taken time to get to know our son as an individual.

Our daughter has been enrolled in the birds and the bears classrooms at Rainbow over the past 8 months. We have absolutely loved our time there. Any time we've had specific requests, Rainbow has been very accommodating. Our daughter loves going to this nursery. We really appreciate how they work
to get her outside each day, and they have also been great in letting us pack her a lunch since she has picky tastes. When we talk about her teachers, she tells us how they love her, and it warms my heart that she feels so included and taken care of. We would highly recommend Rainbow to any parent.

Rainbow ticked every box for what we were looking for. We had bad experiences with Child Care, and then struggled to find a nursery that could offer our son what we believe he needed for his development. We came across Rainbow, and fell in love with the place from the outset...if I could go back in
time myself and attend a nursery, I would choose Rainbow. The outdoor space is second to none, which is so important. having animals on site, is also a massive plus point. Like every business, it is the staff who make it happen, and the staff were all amazing. Our son started in Buttercups and really had a wonderful time. When he moved to Bluebells 1, we were worried, but the staff here also treated our son so well. We are only leaving due to work, but we hope there will be a space available should we return in the future.

I have looked at about 12-15 nurseries in the area and this one impressed me with how happy children looked there, how energetic and positive the carers were, how amazing their grounds were and how professional the management team was.
My son attended this nursery for 3.5 years - the care and development
help which he got there helped him to grow a lovely confident and happy child.

Our 2 daughters went to Rainbow nursery and they are now 2 happy little girls, eager to learn, speaking very well, with good manners thanks to the excellent care, love and attention that they have received at the Nursery. Every day when we were going to work we knew that our daughters will spend a beautiful

The nursery is well run, has very good staff in terms of qualifications, knowledge, care and love of very young children, compassion and simply being there to help the children and their carers to resolve any issues whenever necessary.
The menus were mostly varied and did include a lot of child friendly
food. However, at times I felt there was not enough variety as the menu were rotated on a strict 4 weeks cycle without any changes in the days the meals were offered, which meant that my son (who only attended the nursery two days a week) always had the same two meals for each week. The menus were changed every 1/2 yr or so, which is a good thing and staff made sure that my son always tried the food on offer and ate at least parts of it - and I really appreciated the efforts they made.
The staff in Swan 2 were especially good in getting him fully toilet trained. He was no longer using nappies when moving to Swan 2, but he had regular accidents and it was very difficult at home & nursery to get to the toilet in time. The staff did their utmost to spot the body language and persuade him to go to the toilet on time and praised him when he succeeded. Het eventually got the hang of this before he left nursery to go to school, well done to all involved!

We found the staff to be diligent and genuine in their attentions towards the children. The children love the amazing out door space which allows them to 'burn off' energy throughout the year and have fun. Having the opportunity to watch the numerous animals as they grow and develop really resonates
with the children and we were regularly provide with updates from our son on what animals were doing what. Rainbow has provided us with a great platform upon which we can now build on going forward. Thank you

Our son was very happy during his 2 years at Rainbow - he formed bonds with both his key workers and the nursery. It's a very special nursery with engaging, caring and professional staff. The setting is just amazing with a vegetable patch, various animals (including a donkey!) and playgrounds. Our
son 'graduated' from Rainbow this summer and started school confidently (despite being one of the youngest having just turned 4) and my husband and I have no doubt that this was in part to do with the help Rainbow gave him preparing him for 'big school'.

We have had our child at Rainbow for nearly two years from an early age and from day one have been extremely impressed with the facilities and more importantly the staff. The facilities are exceptional and the nursery is set upon a lovely location. As parents we have always felt very comfortable leaving
our child with Rainbow and have always had great relief in knowing our child is happy whilst at nursery.
I cannot think of any negative comments or any constructive criticism for Rainbow nursery.

Having put my 10 year old through Rainbow all those years ago, we again chose Rainbow for our next 2 babies. We cannot fault the nursery and highly recommend it. The love & care put in by the staff makes the place although you need to check out the grounds and facilities on offer as well which are
the best around.


The Management are very involved in the day to day care at the Nursery and they enjoy good grades from Ofsted. Some of the staff were still there from when my eldest went, which says a lot too.


They will have even the tiniest of babies enjoying art & music and once they move to the "big school" side, so much activity opens up to them, cooking every week, something that sadly declines once they move up to Junior School.


I credit Rainbow which helping to shape my children into the confident, adventurous children they are today. Thank you !
