A BRIGHT AND WELCOMING NURSERY IN DARTFORD

The warm, homely nursery in Dartford is designed to support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

They support the youngest children with the transition into nursery through free settling in sessions at the beginning, and fun, engaging activities as they grow with the nursery. For preschoolers, the focus is on the transition from nursery to school. An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Springfield Lodge Dartford Day Nursery boasts a stunning outdoor space. There is freeflow access to the gardens so your child can explore outside at their leisure. The garden is also large enough to accommodate chickens that the children enjoy learning about and feeding.

They serve excellent, nutritionally balanced food, prepared daily by their own chef using fresh ingredients. The Creative Cooks activities also aim to install healthy food choices at a young age.

Very nice place and staff. Kids have a lot of space outdoors, my toddler enjoys that! Also there is a sports class every week. My toddler is happy here! Highly recommend Bright Horizons Springfield Lodge Dartford.

My youngest is currently at Springfield Lodge, Dartford and my eldest attended here also. Staff are friendly, informative and extremely supportive. Management is always on hand to talk and offer support. I’ve recommended Springfield to friends whom now have children at this nursery. I would 100% recommend

Highly recommend this place.
My son enjoys spending time there with his new friends.
Rooms are a good size.
Toilets are clean.
Outside space is huge and equipped with climbing frames, tables.
Daily menu looks well balanced.

My Daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 11 months old and she loves it. Her teachers are all lovely and very encouraging of her progress. They are very easy to talk to and I asked numerous questions when my daughter first started.
The outside area is great for the children and the
fact they have ducks and chickens there for the children is great, the weekly menus look great and are often varied as well. I particularly like the monthly newsletter that we get, and that encourages us as parents to try new activities with our children and what books may be of interest to them at their age.
I have spoken and recommended the nursery to a few friends and they were very impressed by it, so much so that they have put their children in it.

My daughter started going to this nursery last year and since then I saw a big change in her development. The staff here is very attentive to each child's needs and adapts to situations well. We are a bilingual family and my little one's level of English is very good for her age. The food is good and
varies to cater for all tastes. I would recommend this nursery and encourage any parent to go and see the facilities.

Springfield Lodge Dartford is a fantastic nursery. My son has been going since he was 11 months old and has thrived there. All of the staff are friendly and encouraging and do an amazing job. The food is healthy and varied. The garden is a great outdoor area for the kids to play in with climbing frames
and a sand pit. Would recommend it over and over.

My daughter loves going to this nursery, since she started there at 11 months she has grown so much and is learning new things every day. I am never anxious about leaving her there because I know she is safe. Start time and end time is brilliant for me as it gives me enough time to pick her up after

My son has been attending the nursery for almost a year now and he is progressing well in the areas of learning. The staff are always friendly, helpful and give good feedback at the end of each day. They were excellent in the settling in period and I know my son is in very good hands.


There does

seem to be a high turnover of staff. However, the room staff work hard to ensure there is limited disruption to the children during these times.

A great nursery - staff are always friendly and give me daily updates and feedback. I always feel my son is safe and secure there.
He loves sitting down for breakfast with his friends when gets there, he is excited to play in the garden and see all the animals and he is always proud to show us whatever
he has created in one of the art and craft sessions too when we pick him up.
In his time there he has also had football coaching, gets regular haircuts and has met Father Christmas too!
Great stuff. Oh and son no. 2 is starting there shortly too, so I guess we must love it!

I've been using Springfield Lodge for the past 8.5 years for both my children during pre-school and now for the after school club.
I remember being very anxious when looking for childcare for my eldest (18 months old) but as soon as I met the staff, they put me at ease and I left feeling confident
that he would be well looked after. The decision to send my daughter here at 9 months was then an easy one! I love that they have a safe outdoor play area to let off steam as well as plenty to keep them occupied inside. I was given a journal whenever they moved class which was full of wonderful pictures that they had done, a record of their progress and photos of them at play. I found the staff tirelessly optimistic and upbeat and formed genuine bonds with the children.
Now that I use the After School Club, care is of the same high standard, catering to the needs of the elder children with craft, computer console, outdoor games etc. I couldn't imagine my children going anywhere else!

Springfield is an excellent pre-school. My son attends the school and he is always looking forward to school. They have nice and friendly staff who take a personal interest in my son, and I see them display the same attitude to other kids in the school.


I remember a particular day I took my son to

school and he got clingy, a member of staff came to cheer him up and helped him snap out of the mood very quickly. He eased up to her and was all playful and smiling by the time I returned to pick him up.


Overall, the school has helped my son's social skills and I know for a fact that he is ready for the challenge of nursery.


I recommended Springfield very highly to any parent looking to get their kid started with pre-school life.

As soon as my husband and I viewed this nursery for our 1-year-old daughter, we knew we had made the right decision. Deciding to place your child into nursery at such a young age, can be a very daunting experience but the staff have been absolutely amazing and I couldn’t praise her key workers enough!

I have looked at several Nurseries around the Dartford area and Bright Horizons Springfield Lodge Dartford Day Nursery and Preschool stands out. I felt that my child is safe, secure and well cared for. It's been more than 9 months since my child has been going to this nursery, they were helpful in every
way in caring for my child, looking after my child after recovering from an illness and giving the prescribed medication or taking extra care in food requirements when my child is sick. Constant communication on my commute for picking up my child, for a high traffic affected area in Dartford this is a bonus. All in all, I feel my child is safe in the nursery.

I have worked for Springfield Lodge since 2006 and started as a Nursery Nurse within our Tawny Owls Room. Before this, I worked in Australia for a year working within a very small nursery, very different in size to Springfield.


Within Springfield, I have worked my way up to a management position. I have seen the nursery go through several changes and two outstanding Ofsted inspections.
I hold a higher national diploma in Early Years Care and a BSc (Hons) degree in Health and Child Development.


From a very early age, I have always wanted to work with children and follow the footsteps of family members who have also followed this career path bringing knowledge and experience to help and support not only the children but my team.
