Bright Horizons Springfield Lodge Dartford Day Nursery and Preschool

I am very impressed on how well the communication is between the nursery and myself. The staff members are super friendly and I am confident that my son is in good care. I also like the app feature as I can see what my son is up to but also can easily communicate with the nursery.

Found certain rooms better than others, personal experience, certain situations were handled poorly with a lack of care of the child in question. Only recently standards have seem to have dropped.

The manager and the team at Bright Horizons Springfield Lodge Dartford Day Nursery and Preschool have been brilliant over the past seven years - first with our son and since with our daughter who is just leaving to start school in September. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to start their children in a nursery setting.

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons Springfield Lodge Dartford Day Nursery and Preschool for just over a year, I was very nervous about leaving her, the team were supportive and she soon settled after a couple of weeks. They kept me updated and when I called every day, in the beginning, they made me feel welcome and not silly at all. She now loves going to nursery and talks about her friends and the staff all the time.

I cannot recommend Bright Horizons Springfield Lodge Dartford Day Nursery and Preschool enough. The whole team are so caring and kind that you instantly feel reassured by them. My child was a bit slower with some of his milestones (walking, talking etc.) and the nursery went above and beyond to try and support him. The staff know all the children, so when you arrive it is always very friendly and using your child's name. Even little details, such as noting what type of food they have had on the app as opposed to just reporting how much they have eaten, are so helpful as then, as the parent, you can start to understand more what your child likes to eat. The children go outside every day as the nursery has a huge garden and also has a forest school. Definitely the best nursery for the local area.

My daughter joined the nursery when she turned one and she only went part-time. She cried almost every day I dropped her. She was allocated a key person however they were never in on the days she was in so it was a little void. She cried almost every time I dropped her off. It got so bad that she started running down the corridor when we approached her room. From my observation, I have a feeling she was being ignored or were not paying her much attention. They have so much time to write observations and update the app on how they have time to properly care for your child. When I picked her up her face always looked messy and her nose was never wiped until I arrived to pick her up. I decided to listen to my daughter's cry and changed nurseries. She never cries now and waves me goodbye she is super happy. Listen to your babies when they are trying to tell you something. Not saying that something bad happened, sometimes it is just the atmosphere.

Your overall effort has helped my son become confident and improved his speech and language difficulty.

Caring and very organised staff. Admin is helpful and adaptive to changing circumstances, keeping children as a priority.

Fantastic nursery I must say. My 2-year-old son joined in September 2023 with huge separation anxiety. His key worker was really supportive and helpful, he’s thrived so much since joining. He looks forward to spending time at the nursery and has been developing in leaps and bounds. Not only is he no longer attached to one person, he is now more confident and accepting of others. Glad we made the move when we did.

I cannot recommend Springfield Lodge enough. The staff are so friendly and everyone has been brilliant with my little boy. They are so reassuring and do so many things with the little ones. My son has developed so many new skills, and is no longer a fussy eater either! He really looks forward to nursery days and always comes out happy. Thank you!

Our overall experience with nursery has been good. Staff are very friendly and caring with children. Good facilities and plenty of space for children to play and explore. Management is also flexible and happy to support with any queries.

Preschool gave me the reassurance I needed with sending her here, I can’t thank the staff enough for what they have done and what they continue to do. My daughter loves going to nursery now.

Preschool are very friendly and attentive. I am always kept up to date with my child’s learning and what they are getting up at nursery. My child is always happy when she comes out of nursery and can’t wait to see her friends every day.

I have found Springfield Lodge to be a wonderful nursery, taking great care of my son's interests, development, and best needs. Management have always been very informative of how the nursery is run and key workers have been excellent in providing feedback at the end of the day and via the app with how well my son is getting on and developing as a pre-schooler. I feel they always set a good example and have shaped him into a well-rounded and educated child so he is well equipped for his next chapter into primary school.

Absolutely fantastic nursery, cannot fault anything. My son adores it here and everyone is so friendly. His development since attending nursery has improved so much. All the staff make so much effort, which makes the nursery so welcoming to staff and parents.

My daughter started attending in September 2021 and will attend until she starts school in September 2023. The facilities are great. Amazing outdoor space. My daughter had no trouble settling in and loves it. Both our child and we feel safe and well cared for. Staff are hardworking and approachable. The open line of communication between parents and staff is exceptional - I couldn't live without the app which tells us everything happening in real time. The manager is very dedicated and organised. There are procedures in place for everything, which are followed well. We are extremely lucky to have found this nursery and to have had such an easy registration process at fairly short notice and without having to be put on a waiting list. It was daunting placing our first child into nursery, especially during the pandemic, but the nursery made it easy and we felt reassured at all times. Our daughter is bilingual and this is handled very well. I would happily place my future children there!

I cannot rate Springfield Lodge enough! I had two ideas that I wanted met when placing my daughter into a nursery due to work commitments in 2020. First, I wanted my baby girl to be happy, second, I needed to ensure she would be safe - even more so due to Covid and starting in 2020, it was a must! I viewed multiple nurseries in the local areas, but not one came close to the level of cleanliness of Springfield Lodge and instantly my little girl's face lit up. The toys are clean, high quality and educational, even in the baby rooms. My girl is now in preschool at Springfield Lodge and I wish they could extend the year for school holidays, as my girl loves it here. Sidenote, my little girl has been kept safe and covid free for two years, whilst attending for full days 3 days, a week, 52 weeks a year! The care, love and support the nursery show to my little girl and us family members is beyond any hopes I had. It really feels like a home from home and an extended family with staff.
