A BRIGHT AND WELCOMING NURSERY IN DARTFORD

The warm, homely nursery in Dartford is designed to support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

They support the youngest children with the transition into nursery through free settling in sessions at the beginning, and fun, engaging activities as they grow with the nursery. For preschoolers, the focus is on the transition from nursery to school. An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Springfield Lodge Dartford Day Nursery boasts a stunning outdoor space. There is freeflow access to the gardens so your child can explore outside at their leisure. The garden is also large enough to accommodate chickens that the children enjoy learning about and feeding.

They serve excellent, nutritionally balanced food, prepared daily by their own chef using fresh ingredients. The Creative Cooks activities also aim to install healthy food choices at a young age.

Love the nursery. Both children have attended and one still does attend.
Staff are very friendly and caring to both children.
Very good with children that have allergies, my daughter has multiple and they are very helpful and accommodating.
I would highly recommend Springfield Lodge, Dartford.
I have been using them so far for almost 5 years and am happy with the service they provide.

My second son left this nursery in August. In all, between my 2 children, we have used the nursery for 7 years continuously and I'm afraid to say it is not as good as it used to be.


There is a 'favourites' system and if your child is not one of their favourites there are some members of staff who

are not friendly. It's such a shame as some are truly are wonderful but there can be a very 'cliquey' atmosphere which can make you feel uncomfortable.


We had also used the holiday club run by the nursery which is now like an institute! Horrible, cold, uncaring place. Will never use again.

I was so nervous when my little boy started at 1. He is now 26 months and has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are amazing and makes no difference if they are from his team or helping from a different room they are friendly and approachable. The bond my little boy has with the ladies in both his
first room his second room is so clear to see and heartwarming. Every day I notice new things he has learnt or new words he is using. I like how the room layouts and activities get changed around to keep them interested.


The outdoor space is great as well lots to see and do and he loves all the animals as well. If ever he has a bad morning (they all will at some point) he likes to see rabbits or fish and calms right down and settles into breakfast time quickly. Its important to me that I can access his development log whenever I like to see how he is progressing. So pleased we did our researched and picked Springfield Lodge.

Caring, loving team, from key workers to management. Parents and children are made to feel comfortable and welcoming in a professional yet family-like environment. Parents preferences, wishes and requests in regards to care of their children are respected and taken into account during the day to day
of our little ones. The staff is knowledgeable on overall child development but most essentially on each and every individual child progress and development. Children are treated as unique individuals and respected as such.


Children are provided with a loving, nurturing and safe environment that promotes their learning and development at all times. The nursery has excellent facilities and equipment.
Staff is always available to support parents and to clarify any doubts. Management has always been open and proactive to any suggestions, concerns and/or criticism.

My daughter was at the nursery for just over a year. The staff helped her to transition seamlessly through their support and the loving environment they provided. It is an extremely expensive nursery but it was worth it. They nurtured her development and I will forever be grateful to them.

My daughter has allergies and they help deal with the multiple allergies with ease and helpfulness.
My daughter is learning very well, knows her numbers and alphabet which has been a huge influence from the nursery. Highly recommend. She has been coming from 9 months old and is nearly 3 now.

This is a wonderful nursery! The staff are all very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for anyone.
Gardens are great and there is so much space for them to run about and have fun!

Both of my children have attended/attends this nursery. My Son is currently there and is very happy to go. He is well looked after and the staff are very fond of the children (they are not just there to do a job, but care for each child).


My Son has learnt so much since attending this nursery and

has made many friends. I trust this nursery 100% with my Son and highly recommend it.


You get a lovely feel when you walk into the nursery and the staff are very welcoming. There is so much for the children to do inside and outside of the nursery which is great.

My son has been attending the nursery since he was 5 months old and whilst he's not yet able to articulate his opinion, I cannot recommend this Nursery enough.


As a first-time parent returning to work, finding a nursery that guarantees the safety of my child, as well as caring staff and rooms full

of interesting, engaging and fun things to do, was essential and Springfield Lodge was the only nursery that ticked all the boxes for me.


The staff are the biggest asset and selling point of the nursery. You can tell they enjoy their job and care for the children - they're all fab!


All meals are prepared onsite and are nutritionally balanced (they also sound delicious!) and bedding for naps is per child and cleaned weekly (as well as all facilities being very clean and looking tidy). The outside space is also something that can't be matched by others in the area.


I would absolutely recommend viewing the nursery and considering it for your child.

Springfield Lodge Dartford is an excellent nursery. Our child has been attending since 2013 and all of the staff go above and beyond. I would highly recommend this nursery to anybody thinking about sending their child to a nursery. A key point for me is that I can leave my child at the nursery and feel
she is safe and well cared for.


The staff are friendly, welcoming and always have time to speak with us when dropping off and picking up. Our daughter loves being outdoors and the grounds are wonderful. The staff encourage the child to go outside every day.


They ensure the weekly topics are varied and the pre-school rooms are great for preparing the children when they move onto school.
The nursery has animals (rabbits, chicken, ducks, fish), a wonderfully varied menu (including snacks), they encourage celebrating the various different 'World' days and encourage the children to learn in a fun environment.


if you list all the things that are included in the cost it is very good value for money.

Our son and daughter both attend Springfield day nursery and pre-school. Our children have attended the nursery since around 10 months old and have/are progressing through their various rooms and stages of their developments.


The nursery has provided us with a friendly, safe and fun learning environment

for our children. We have certainly seen the confidence of our 3-year-old son blossom and his learning skills develop greatly, and our daughter is always happy to go to nursery and runs off into her room not looking back to say goodbye. Hard for me as a mum but good to know she is happy and contented.


The staff whom we have had close contact with have been supportive and very friendly.


I would definitely recommend this nursery.

This is an excellent nursery with staff that go above and beyond their job roles. I would highly recommend anyone sending their child to a nursery to go and view the facilities and meet the staff.


My son has thrived since attending here, he is stimulated by the activities, his motor skills and

speech have come on leaps and bounds. The food is nutritious and varied. He is never left in soiled nappies and I am given a full daily report of his progress with a book to take home and keep. The staff have been really helpful with tips and ideas to help me, as a working mum these are more than welcome. I cannot fault this nursery on any count. As I deal with quality control I'm quite tough to please.

My Son (age 3) joined the Nursery in December and the staff ensured that he settled in very nicely, considering he had never been in a nursery environment before. Prior to him joining the staff ensured effective communication between myself and them as we had to move his start date a few times. Kids

A wonderful nursery. All staff are very friendly and helped my son a lot to settle down. They always answer my questions and keep me updated about his development. I feel he is safe and well looked after in the nursery. He goes happily to the nursery every day. Staff have also given me advice with

I have worked for Springfield Lodge since 2006 and started as a Nursery Nurse within our Tawny Owls Room. Before this, I worked in Australia for a year working within a very small nursery, very different in size to Springfield.


Within Springfield, I have worked my way up to a management position. I have seen the nursery go through several changes and two outstanding Ofsted inspections.
I hold a higher national diploma in Early Years Care and a BSc (Hons) degree in Health and Child Development.


From a very early age, I have always wanted to work with children and follow the footsteps of family members who have also followed this career path bringing knowledge and experience to help and support not only the children but my team.

I have worked in the childcare sector for over 25 years. I have a level 3 diploma in Childcare and Education. I have a wealth of experience, working as a nanny, a nursery practitioner, a room leader and in leadership roles, joining Bright Horizons in October 2022.
