About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 52 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 52 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 21.9 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

We are very happy with the care at Co-operative Childcare, Southampton. The staff engage with the children really well, they appear to enjoy their job, and to enjoy working with children. Children are encouraged to develop, and are able to participate in a variety of activities. The outdoor area...
The indoor environment is also much improved after a refurbishment, and it seems lighter, especially in the lobby area. The nursery is kept clean. It is always difficult to leave your child in the care of someone else, but the staff at this nursery have made it that little bit easier!
What we love about Nursery...
What we love about Nursery is how each child is valued and made feel very special and how all the staff genuinely care about the children.
My son has always had great fun at preschool and I'm always amazed at the activities that they get up to. It's also nice they are outside in the garden quite a bit. I just hope that his sister will be able to attend next September.

My daughter has been at this nursery a year now and is thriving. Her development is well supported on all fronts and feedback from staff is very well communicated each day. The garden has recently been redone; it is a great space and the kids get out most days to play. Staff and management are very friendly and my daughter responds to them all very well. The nursery is very supportive and open about nutrition - making everything on-site and using fruit purees to sweeten cakes rather than refined sugar. The nursery cost is all inclusive of nappies, food etc; granted it isn't the cheapest nursery in the area but I think the value and quality are reflected in this additional cost. Management can take a while to respond to non-urgent matters, but anything of great importance is dealt with quickly and effectively.
My child has spent almost a year here! Recommend place for a nursery and preschool! The social, linguistic and emotional development my son went through was amazing! I would recommend it to any parent interested in a safe and enriching environment!

I was very nervous leaving my son at nursery however he settled in so quickly because the girls in the baby room were lovely. We couldn't be happier with the care given to our son, it is clear from his interaction with carers and management (and cook!) when I collect him that he likes everyone a lot and loves his time at nursery. We have recommended it many times to other parents. Everyday I am pleased and surprised how many fun and messy activities the kids do. Also want to comment on how great the carers are when the kids get unwell. I always feel guilty going to pick up an ill child and not having been there, however he is always being cared for so well and cuddled in grasshoppers when I arrive.
I am really happy that my son attends this pre-school.

The nursery is excellent with friendly, experienced staff who go the extra mile to provide a great atmosphere for the children and good feedback for parents.

This is a lovely nursery. My son has been attending since he was 9 months old and I have always felt comfortable leaving him, as I know he will be cared for. The staff go out of their way to know his likes and dislikes. Over the past six months there have been many staff changes and this has led to loss of continuity of care, which does not seem to have bothered my son. At home he shows evidence of learning, such as counting, distinguishing left from right, teaching me new songs, telling me about Diwali etc. He is keen to tell me about his day.
