Children love to learn at Co-op Childcare Southampton. Using stories, songs and games the nursery help children develop at their own pace whilst having lots of fun!

Co-op Childcare are big on happy children. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and a focus on taking care of each other and the world.
The nursery are silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.
Big on safety, ALL staff are paediatric first aid trained. They hold the Millie’s Mark award, something only 2% of all nurseries in the UK have managed to achieve!
Using 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with children, they encourage them to be independent, make their own choices, express their feelings and make a difference in the world.
Co-op Childcare’s ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery days and includes photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten, and even toilet training progress!

The nursery has 5 rooms filled with resources that support children at every age and stage of their development. The friendly team, led by Manager Karen, would love to meet you and show you around so you can really understand what makes their nursery so special.

My daughter has attended The Co-operative Childcare since she was 8/9 months old. I have never felt uneasy leaving her in the care of the staff there and am always kept up to date about her well being and time spent at the nursery via parent zone. I am welcomed every morning with a smile and a welcoming
environment and I will always receive the same when I pick up. The staff are really good with giving detailed feedback about what my daughter has eaten, how she's been and exactly what she’s played with. The environments are bright and intriguing as well as the cleanliness being exactly what you’d expect for a nursery. Overall I am confident to say I would definitely recommend the nursery and always talk highly of the staff.

After 2.5 years, our daughter was very happy att he nursery and has grown thanks to the team. I would not have any concerns sending our second child here. The only niggle was with payments, something always happened and whoever's fault it was, you got a very rude letter from Co-operative main office.
Not the nursery's fault but still, not a nice way to be treated.

My daughter only started a few weeks ago and she loves it and enjoys going to the nursery. I was worried about how well she will settle in, the staff made her comfortable and helped her. The staff are really help and always at hand to help with any concern.

I would thoroughly recommend the Co-operative Nursery. My son has been attending since he was 9 months old and is now 2. All the staff are friendly and are so nurturing and provide excellent care. All the food is cooked on-site and he is given delicious home cooked food every day. The key workers develop
a strong bond between the parent and the child and work closely with me so that key development goals can be achieved. My son absolutely loves it here and never wants to go home! I can't recommend this nursery highly enough.

I am very happy with this nursery, since returning to work I have been reassured to know that my daughter is in a stimulating and safe environment. The facilities are amazing and the staff are very friendly, my daughter has a great bond with her key person and I would happily recommend this nursery

Both of our girls have attended this nursery since they were babies. We have always been happy with the level of care they have received. The staff are extremely friendly and seem to genuinely care about the children. Both girls have thrived in the nursery environment and we would recommend it to anyone!

I am very happy with my daughter's care. The nursery staff treat her as an individual and really seem to care about her development. She is always happy at nursery and I can see she does a variety of activities. The staff have also been very kind towards me when I was pregnant and having trouble carrying

Nice nursery, the staff are lovely and my daughter loves going. Would recommend to other parents in the area. They were really good working with my daughter's food allergies when she was little, cooking her separate meals each day (as close to what the others were having as possible) and special cakes
etc so she didn't miss out because of her allergies.

I have nothing but good reviews for this cooperative nursery. My eldest went there and due to the help and support, they gave me in helping my eldest get the help she needed. If it wasn't for the staff and managers my eldest would have never gotten the help that she needed to at an early age as my eldest
daughter is autistic and non-verbal. And due to the staff being trained they were able to communicate with my eldest daughter in Makaton. I also sent my youngest daughter there. Both girls love it there. All the staff are respectful happy friendly and helpful. I looked at quite a few nurseries before choosing this nursery. I know that nurseries are expensive but it just goes to show you have to pay a bit more to get the best care for your children.

My baby has been at this nursery for 3 months now, she seems to like it and have fun whilst there. Staff seem really nice and helpful. The menu looks good, our baby has definitely improved eating skills since going there.

All staff are friendly and welcoming. My girl is in 1-2s currently and her key person is brilliant and works towards our wishes and her development needs well. Children get good home cooked food and the new parent app is great to see how your child is and what they have been up to in the day.

Communication between the nursery and parents is very poor. Never had been updated on what was going on. Staff rotation is very high which was very unsettling for my child. My child has now moved nursery, the Co-op gave me a progress sheet on where they were up to, it said they were behind on a lot
of things, which really surprised me.
After 2 months of being at the new nursery and childminders, they said the report the Co-op wrote sounded like a completely different child than they know as they are exceeding in all subjects.

We have constantly been impressed by the warm friendly attitude of all the staff and how they helped our daughter settle into nursery and then move up to the next age group too. We get detailed feedback every day and the staff are enthusiastic and excited to tell us when she's achieved something new.

All 3 of my children have attended the Co-Operative childcare in Southampton and we have always been happy with the service provided. We have always recommended them and will continue to do so. We have one child currently in the nursery and she is always super excited to go. Our older 2 are always wanting
to go back to the nursery. The staff are great and our children love them.

We are very happy with the care at Co-operative Childcare, Southampton. The staff engage with the children really well, they appear to enjoy their job, and to enjoy working with children. Children are encouraged to develop, and are able to participate in a variety of activities. The outdoor area is
much improved following a refurbishment, and my own son really enjoys being involved in the outdoor activities.
The indoor environment is also much improved after a refurbishment, and it seems lighter, especially in the lobby area. The nursery is kept clean. It is always difficult to leave your child in the care of someone else, but the staff at this nursery have made it that little bit easier!

Our son has attended Co-operative Nursery for almost 2 years and we have always been really happy with the care and attention he has received. On the rare occasion where we have had problems, questions or issues they have always been resolved quickly and professionally.
What we love about Nursery is
