Co-op Childcare are big on happy children. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and a focus on taking care of each other and the world.
The nursery are silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.
Big on safety, ALL staff are paediatric first aid trained. They hold the Millie’s Mark award, something only 2% of all nurseries in the UK have managed to achieve!

Co-op Childcare’s ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery days and includes photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten, and even toilet training progress!
The nursery has 5 rooms filled with resources that support children at every age and stage of their development. The friendly team, led by Manager Karen, would love to meet you and show you around so you can really understand what makes their nursery so special.

About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 52 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 52 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 21.9 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

Both our boys have thrived since attending The Co-operative nursery. They love attending and as parents, we are fully confident that the boys are looked after and well cared for while we are at work. Staff are a pleasure to deal with and both the boys have an excellent rapport with their key...
I would recommend The Co-operative nursery 100% we have not regretted our boys attending and our eldest is in preschool and our 1-year-old is in ladybirds room.
My son has been going to this nursery since he was 9 months old. He is now 2 and he absolutely loves the nursery, the staff are all friendly and enthusiastic.

I have never felt uneasy leaving her in the care of the staff there and am always kept up to date about her well being and time spent at the nursery via parent zone. I am welcomed every morning with a smile and a welcoming environment and I will always receive the same when I pick up. The staff are really good with giving detailed feedback about what my daughter has eaten, how she's been and exactly what she’s played with. The environments are bright and intriguing as well as the cleanliness being exactly what you’d expect for a nursery. Overall I am confident to say I would definitely recommend the nursery and always talk highly of the staff.
My little girl really loves her sessions in the nursery to the point where she speaks about her carers at home.

The only niggle was with payments, something always happened and whoever's fault it was, you got a very rude letter from Co-operative main office. Not the nursery's fault but still, not a nice way to be treated.
My daughter only started a few weeks ago and she loves it and enjoys going to the nursery. I was worried about how well she will settle in, the staff made her comfortable and helped her. The staff are really help and always at hand to help with any concern.

All the food is cooked on-site and he is given delicious home cooked food every day. The key workers develop a strong bond between the parent and the child and work closely with me so that key development goals can be achieved. My son absolutely loves it here and never wants to go home! I can't recommend this nursery highly enough.

They were really good working with my daughter's food allergies when she was little, cooking her separate meals each day (as close to what the others were having as possible) and special cakes etc so she didn't miss out because of her allergies.
Lovely feel to the nursery with welcoming staff. Children always engaged and the menu is really good for children. Direct debit payments always work and can use childcare vouchers.

I have nothing but good reviews for this cooperative nursery. My eldest went there and due to the help and support, they gave me in helping my eldest get the help she needed. If it wasn't for the staff and managers my eldest would have never gotten the help that she needed to at an early age as my eldest daughter is autistic and non-verbal. And due to the staff being trained they were able to communicate with my eldest daughter in Makaton. I also sent my youngest daughter there. Both girls love it there. All the staff are respectful happy friendly and helpful. I looked at quite a few nurseries before choosing this nursery. I know that nurseries are expensive but it just goes to show you have to pay a bit more to get the best care for your children.
My baby has been at this nursery for 3 months now, she seems to like it and have fun whilst there. Staff seem really nice and helpful. The menu looks good, our baby has definitely improved eating skills since going there.

All staff are friendly and welcoming. My girl is in 1-2s currently and her key person is brilliant and works towards our wishes and her development needs well. Children get good home cooked food and the new parent app is great to see how your child is and what they have been up to in the day.

Communication between the nursery and parents is very poor. Never had been updated on what was going on. Staff rotation is very high which was very unsettling for my child. My child has now moved nursery, the Co-op gave me a progress sheet on where they were up to, it said they were behind on a lot...
After 2 months of being at the new nursery and childminders, they said the report the Co-op wrote sounded like a completely different child than they know as they are exceeding in all subjects.
