Children love to learn at Co-op Childcare Southampton. Using stories, songs and games the nursery help children develop at their own pace whilst having lots of fun!

Co-op Childcare are big on happy children. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and a focus on taking care of each other and the world.
The nursery are silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.
Big on safety, ALL staff are paediatric first aid trained. They hold the Millie’s Mark award, something only 2% of all nurseries in the UK have managed to achieve!
Using 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with children, they encourage them to be independent, make their own choices, express their feelings and make a difference in the world.
Co-op Childcare’s ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery days and includes photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten, and even toilet training progress!

The nursery has 5 rooms filled with resources that support children at every age and stage of their development. The friendly team, led by Manager Karen, would love to meet you and show you around so you can really understand what makes their nursery so special.

I would say this is the best nursery my child has ever attended and would 100% recommend to anyone. They have very caring and loving staff who will always help as much as they can in any situation. I, as a parent, go to work each day knowing my child is happy and is always learning new things. Furthermore,
my child has been at this nursery for almost a year now. Before he started he was shy, didn't talk much and found it hard to socialise. Now there isn't a day where he doesn't enjoy himself and he's smiling.

Management are very helpful. Very good for working parents. My child enjoys it, and my older daughter enjoys summer school there too. I would like to see a better garden play area. But overall, I’m satisfied. Thank you.

My son attends the holiday club at this nursery after leaving to go to school. He is always really excited to attend and comes home chatting about all the lovely things he has done that day. The holiday club is really convenient and affordable. It’s great to know he’s in good hands when we’re working.

The staff have always been really helpful and friendly and incredibly supportive of my son. I can tell he loves it by how attached he is to particular members of staff often running to them excitedly and giving them cuddles at drop off. We've had a fantastic experience for over a year now and will be
very sad when he eventually leaves to go to school.

We are so pleased to have chosen this nursery for our daughter originally back in 2017. Still attending the nursery now, we have not had any problems. The staff have always been very professional, helpful and accommodating to us. They are very supportive of any concerns we may have with our child's
development throughout our time at the nursery up to present day. We can honestly say our daughter has learnt so much from attending this nursery and enjoys her time here. It was definitely an added bonus that the fee's include everything, food, nappies, sun cream etc. Hassle free for parents. The menu choices are brilliant and help with ensuring our child has a varied diet with lots of delicious options. We would highly recommend this nursery.

My son adores going to this nursery. He develops every day on many fields and created really strong bonds with adults and children. He usually cries when I pick him up because he doesn't want to leave, which for me is a great sign that he has an awesome time there.

Our now 6 year old son attended this nursery from the age of 9 months through to preschool before he left (with a lovely graduation!) to start reception. Our son had been very happy here during this time as were we so much that it was on natural our second child joined once I was ready to go back to
work.


The keyworkers are great with the children and they build a good relationship with both the children and parents and keep us updated in the loop with how our child is progressing.


The nursery has a very nice welcome feel to it. It is a clean, safe and fun environment. The food menu is fantastic. There are other nurseries out there which may be on the lower price scale but in our opinion, you certainly get what you pay for with this nursery, what else is more important especially when you are leaving them in charge with the most precious thing to you?

My son has only been enrolled with the nursery for a few months now and although we still struggle to have an easy drop-off, I'm always advised he's had a really fun-packed joyful day where he has loved every minute off it. His key worker is amazing as well as the other staff in his room. They have
helped him settle in and I can tell he enjoys to be there. Since starting I've seen such a development in him and it's amazing to be able to see the progress from all the time and effort the staff make with each individual child. I know I can drop my son off and he is going to be very well looked after and well fed. I'm pretty sure he gets better nutritional meals at nursery than he does at home. They have supported me with taking his pacifier away and made the process easy and I know they will continue to support me with making the drop off easier as he has slight anxiety so he gets upset when I drop him off but they are quick to calm him and get him happy again.

I would definitely recommend the nursery to friends in the proximity of this location as I find the team friendly and welcoming. In almost 2.5 years, there were only a few occasions of misunderstanding (unclear illness policy, nobody came to welcome our child in the morning) but there is room to discuss
this professionally with the management team. Generally, our son is very happy when we come to pick him up at the end of the day, which is for us a good sign that he is in good caring hands.

All staff are caring, understanding and supportive. Everyone knows my son's name, even if he is not in their room. They really care about his development and work with us to support this.
My child's welfare at the top of their agenda. The staff go above and beyond to ensure he had the best care. You
can drop off from 7 am and they provide breakfast, this makes mornings so much easier! I am incredibly happy we chose the Co-op nursery. Our son is our first child, it can be a stressful time deciding on the best nursery, but the team make it really easy. They spend lots of time helping them settle in. My son absolutely loves going. We left him from 13mths and he now 2yrs. Since attending he has developed much quicker then if he hadn't been there and he gets to do lots of activities painting, water play, playdoh. They also regularly get to go out in the garden. I can not recommend the nursery enough!!

The staff are really caring and have helped my little girl so much, who struggles with leaving me in the morning. They have let me know how she has been after I left and have given her all the attention she needs. She loves it and is so happy when I see her playing at pick up time.

My son is in the nursery for 8 months and has developed really well. He adapted very well as well.
Any issues are heard by the nursery team.
They are really welcoming and caring.
My son loves it. Never cried to stay in the nursery.
Every day we can see/be told about nappy change, sleep times and
mealtimes.
If an incident happens like a fall the parents are informed about it.

Both our boys have thrived since attending The Co-operative nursery. They love attending and as parents, we are fully confident that the boys are looked after and well cared for while we are at work. Staff are a pleasure to deal with and both the boys have an excellent rapport with their key workers
and staff.
I would recommend The Co-operative nursery 100% we have not regretted our boys attending and our eldest is in preschool and our 1-year-old is in ladybirds room.
