Spring Nursery: A springboard for healthy first steps. Where you can leave your child safe in the knowledge that they are going to have fun being equipped with the practical skills they will need as they grow up.

Spring Nursery is located less than 1 mile from Braintree Freeport and offers a 49 place day nursery. Its is open from 7.30am until 6pm, 51 weeks of the year for children aged 0 months to eleven years.

They also have a holiday club through school holidays open from 7.30am until 6pm.

My son has been attending Spring Nursery since he was nine months old (about to turn four now) and the staff have always been welcoming, friendly and understanding to my needs and wants. They have always put my mind at ease during times of anxiety and always give me a run down at the end of each day
as to how he has been. He loves going and I’m so glad I chose this nursery for him to go to.

Such a lovely nursery. The staff are always friendly and they are always lovely to my son. They are reliable and they keep me up to date with what my son is doing and eating while he’s there.

Great nursery!
Nursery staff and administrator always friendly and helpful. Never had any issues with anything. Have two children at the nursery and they are very happy with all members of staff on a daily basis. Nice garden/play area and more than enough activities inside.

My children first started coming to this nursery in 2013 and now my youngest is here. We love the nursery and have never had any complaints. All the staff feel like family and are so welcoming! We will miss coming here once my child starts school.

I have had 2 children attend this nursery and I cannot fault it in the slightest. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to ensure the happiness and well-being of every child and parent that attends. 100% the best nursery you will ever find.

I was recommended this nursery from a friend. My child loves attending Monday to Friday.
The staff are very welcoming and friendly. My son has learnt so much from being there, from singing songs to numbers to painting.
Would highly recommend, love getting his book bag from school seeing all the amazing
things he has done that day and seeing what he gets up to week to week when he is there.
Communication has also been very good.

My son has started nursery at the start of January and has really enjoyed it. The staff and his key worker are super lovely. I was so nervous for him to start but the staff and everyone there has been so good and take such good care of him. They update me every time I collect him and he has started
to come a long way since starting and it's only been a few weeks. Super happy.

My daughter has attended Spring nursery at Carousel since she was 2. She is now 5 and attends the after school club. I can’t speak highly enough of all the staff, they are friendly and caring and it makes such a difference knowing my daughter is being looked after in a caring environment that she really
enjoys and has made some great friends. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

All three of my kids have gone to Spring (Carousel) over the last 8 or 9 years. When looking into nurseries for my youngest to start attending about a year ago I just knew that Carousel was going to be best for her. The staff members who looked after my oldest two remember them both and they talk about
them with my little girl which has been fantastic in assisting them to make her comfortable and happy when she is there!
I wouldn’t go anywhere else! This is the perfect nursery for us!

I have found the staff at Spring Nursery to be kind, caring, enthusiastic and motivated. They ensure the children have a wonderful experience every day, helping with their development to be happy, settled and ready for school when they come to leave.
My eldest son attended the nursery for 4 years
and my second little boy has just recently started, I cannot recommend the nursery highly enough. My babies have been happy, cared for and secure. They have formed strong bonds with their key people throughout their stay.

Jade Arnold

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2011

Jade has worked for the company since 2011 and holds a level 3 childcare qualification. Jade strives to ensure that the children are at the heart of all decisions and ensures they are learning and developing through many areas of play. Jade loves to see the children thrive.


Jade also has a daughter and loves to be creative and messy.


Jade is also the SENCO alongside the deputy and also has a mental health first aid certificate

Carly is Spring Carousels, deputy manager. She is Level 3 qualified and is based all over the nursery setting supporting the rooms with quality and the office with managerial tasks.

Amy is our Senior Practitioner and works within our Explorers room.


She holds a level 3 childcare qualification.


Amy is also our student coordinator and ensures students feel supported when learning in our setting.

Diane has worked here for a number of years and has great experience with this age group.

Becca is based in our Inventors room and holds a level 3 qualification in childcare.


She is also our fundraising coordinator alongside her team member and enjoys planning fun activities for us all to take part in.

Brad has a level 3 qualification and is based in our inventors room as the senior room lead. Brad has also taken on the role of garden coordinator and has lots of fresh ideas to spruce up or large play area.
