Spring Nursery: A springboard for healthy first steps. Where you can leave your child safe in the knowledge that they are going to have fun being equipped with the practical skills they will need as they grow up.

Spring Nursery is located less than 1 mile from Braintree Freeport and offers a 49 place day nursery. Its is open from 7.30am until 6pm, 51 weeks of the year for children aged 0 months to eleven years.

They also have a holiday club through school holidays open from 7.30am until 6pm.

Cannot rate the staff at carousel high enough, My little boy had the best first start in the babyroom and we were both given so much support over his settling in period and his time in that room. During this time he grew in confidence and met milestones with the support and activities and next steps
given by his key person and implemented by all staff in the room! He has now transitioned into the 2-3 room and all staff in both rooms supported the transition in to this room and I have seen already how much this room is extending his development to the next level!
The communication between staff and parents on the app is excellent, from room staff and management and I love how many opportunities we get to be involved, wether it be stay and plays or opportunities to opinions too. Jade and Carly are both friendly and approachable and all staff are always so friendly and welcoming, my little boy loves nursery, which makes life much easier for me.

After keeping my son at home with me until he was 3 years old, I finally caved and decided to send him to nursery two afternoons a week to socialise with other children his age... I had been told soo much good about Spring Carousel Chapel Hill. I decided this was the best place for my sons needs and
honestly I do not regret that choice... The workers are always soo happy and supportive with the children. My son doesn't stop telling me about all his learnt throughout the afternoon. I've never struggled to get my son into nursery... only out off there as he loves it that much he doesn't want to come home. The team in his room have always gone the extra mile to make sure us parents are aware of what subjects they're learning and what skills they are focussing on. I feel asif I know everything my son gets up to while his at nursery, so I'm never left feeling unsure to how his day has been. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

Both of my children have attended this nursary and my youngest is still on his journey in here. The staff are amazing, my son really struggles to let me leave when dropping him off but the staff are amazing and always finding way to make him smile and laugh giving it an easier handover.
With daily
updates from food, toilet and nap posts. I love that we get daily photos, watching our children play happy with all there new friends.
Couldn't recommend this nursary and the staff enough.

This nursery is excellent! The staff in explorers and management are accommodating, kind and create a lovely warm and inviting environment. We originally started with mornings but my son just wasn't getting along with it and the staff happily changed to afternoons for us and were so understanding. The
nursery have been so great with helping my son through the journey of his start at nursery, keeping me up to date in how he is and he has really warmed to everyone! I would highly highly recommend!

My son started this nursery a few months ago, and having never been to any other nursery before he was very new to it and was a bit nervous and emotional. But within a couple of weeks or so he is now so comfortable and excited to go in and will walk straight into his room. The staff have been incredible,
always so caring and helpful, and always let us know how our son has got on in the day. I love seeing the posts on the app each day too about what they have been doing in the day and the photos. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

My daughter started with the nursery in February 2025 at only 10 months old when I returned to work after maternity leave. I was quite nervous to leave her at such a young age but I really had nothing to worry about. The staff at the nursery are lovely and helped her to settle in. Communication is great
through the messaging portal on the app, responses are quick and I can check for updates throughout the day to see how she is getting on. There is a great variety of food and snacks each week and her food intolerances are catered for well. My daughter has come on so much since she started there and she gets excited every morning when we arrive in the car park to drop her off!

The staff are amazing, quite a few changes though however my son seemed to manage well with this. He does have special needs and they are brilliant with him and a massive praise to the manager who supports where she can on helping with getting him into the car. I feel maybe they could be more variety
used of the day I.e bubble room and maybe move activities to outdoors on good weather days. Also the food although I put low stars it's brilliant and healthy food just unfortunately my child doesn't eat it or much and it has been raised a few times and I do worry he doesn't eat enough. Amazing communication with parents via the app and email notifications with all updates through his day. My 13 year old went here back then they did a mini sports day and plays so maybe something to consider..Though all these years later now his little brother is here and I still wouldn't choose anywhere else. Amazing place and staff always see smiling children when I pick him up.

They are good especially with the learning and food they provide and some of the staff are excellent the equipment they have outside the kids seem to really enjoy it and my sons made some good friendships with the help of the teachers they are good nursery and your kids can benefit alot

I moved my little one here a while ago now and I have to say they have been absolutely brilliant and so helpful with everything, including costs and spreading the hours and any last minute child care I've needed help with. The manager has been super helpful with a lot of things and my daughter absolutely
loves her teacher. He is brilliant with all the children. As are the other teachers that help assist in his class too.
They do so much with the children and take them out in the garden as often as they can to play as well as doing plenty of arts and crafts, drawing, reading and dancing in the class too.

It's great setting for kids who's parents want to help and give them great start in getting ready to socialise and be ready for school. We have our second son going to Spring Nursery and he is loving all the activities and staff members. He builds great relations with his little friends and key workers.
He is very social and even created his own dance for the ladies (the staff members from his group). You all doing amazing job that's for sure as he is excited to go there every day he is scheduled to go:) can't thank you enough for your hard work you all are amazing :)

My child has attended spring since October 2024 aged 9 months and settled in brilliantly. The staff in the baby room made us feel at ease instantly and made an effort to get to know my baby's likes and dislikes, and keep us informed during her settling in sessions. They keep us updated throughout the
day using the famly app on how much she's eaten, slept and her nappies, along with any medication they've given her and accident reports. The staff are lovely and my child loves them all and is genuinely excited when we pull up to the nursery. All staff make an effort to know the children's names even if they're not from their room and I love that they all go outside as much as possible and keep the activities engaging and exciting, and I love seeing the photos at the end of the day seeing what they got up to. They've made returning to work so much easier for me knowing my child is safe and happy the 3 days a week she is there!

My daughter has been at Spring Nursery for nearly a year now and absolutely loves it! The managers are incredibly helpful and no question is too silly or too much trouble to ask. Every staff member is super friendly and attentive/welcoming and my daughter can't wait to do more days this coming September.
I'm so glad we chose this nursery and I highly recommend it to any one looking for a safe environment for their little one :)

Both my children attend the setting and have since they were 1. They're aged 1 & 3. Managers and team members are very attentive. The manager is doing a great job taking the time to manage expectations from owners, parents and employees. Most importantly the kids are happy, learning and always attentive
to their every need. The classes are very transparent and you can feel that everyone knows your child even if they're not in that class. This gives you added peace of mind that the overall culture is unified, diverse, and respectful. Nothing is ever too much and the team are always happy to help with any concern, needs, or requests. This is for the parents as well as the kids. I am a particularly sensitive parent and I've never worried once with Spring Carousel Nursery.

I am completely beyond happy with this nursery. I think the staff all in their own ways are fantastic! The manager and staff are kind-hearted and very special. The key person who was in my child's class was perfect! She is calm, kind and loving. How my little girl is treated at nursery is how we treat
her at home! The key person will hold a very special place in our hearts! My little girl's next class has been great and have given her the support that she needs. I thank you all for being so amazing! Thank you to the manager for being so welcoming and kind.

It was a whole new experience that got me putting my child into the nursery as she is my first and only little one. I knew I needed to put her in a nursery as we are both very codependent on each other. When viewing the nursery to start with the manager showed me around and she was fantastic and made
me feel really at ease compared to another that I viewed in the area. Since joining, they have been so supportive and encouraging with my little one. She's grown close with her key worker and making friends and it's such an amazing feeling to watch and be part of as makes me feel less guilty for going to work, knowing she's in good hands and enjoying her days. We were really nervous to send our son to nursery for the first time especially as he is our first. We visited a lot of nurseries in the area but Spring Carousel just felt right. The team are lovely and always on hand for support. They also use an app to communicate with parents which really helped
me in the early days when our son was settling in. Now he loves going to nursery and runs in before me! He has gained lots of confidence and skills and is just blossoming more each day. We are so glad that nursery is such a positive experience for him and therefore for us too!

My 11-month-old girl has been at this nursery for 2 months now, the progression I've seen in her has been outstanding - she's gained more confidence, social skills, motor skills (is not crawling and pulling herself up into a standing position) and communication skills. I have been nothing but incredibly
impressed with Spring Carousel Nursery; their staff are kind, helpful and caring to both the children and the parents - my daughter loves each and every staff member she has had the pleasure of interacting with. They offer a wide range of foods; allowing children to try and get used to lots of different tastes and textures - I often find myself jealous of what my daughter has had for her lunches! Spring Carousel also have a varied selection of toys and activities to keep the children entertained- challenging their motor skills and knowledge in order to learn all day every day! I would recommend this nursery to anyone; especially new and nervous parents - they're extremely reassuring.

Jade has worked for the company since 2011 and holds a level 3 childcare qualification. Jade strives to ensure that the children are at the heart of all decisions and ensures they are learning and developing through many areas of play. Jade loves to see the children thrive.


Jade also has a daughter and loves to be creative and messy.
