Spring Nursery: A springboard for healthy first steps. Where you can leave your child safe in the knowledge that they are going to have fun being equipped with the practical skills they will need as they grow up.

Staff build on what you do by encouraging each child to discover their individuality, try new things, make friends and to learn about the modern world through play.

Spring Nursery is located less than 1 mile from Braintree Freeport and offers a 49 place day nursery. Its is open from 7.30am until 6pm, 51 weeks of the year for children aged 0 months to eleven years.

After attempting another nursery for my daughter and her not settling in.
We came to Spring Nursery, and my daughter settled in right away from the get-go. She loves going to nursery, and anything we do at home at the nursery will continue with the same support. For example, using the toilet and potty
training. The nursery is very accommodating and supportive. The staff are brilliant and keep you well informed of everything that’s happened, from eating to using napping and applying creams. My daughter is happy there, and I couldn’t have asked for a better nursery for her to start her education journey.

Amazing nursery. My son started in December 2021. He has a few problems and is on a waiting list; this nursery has helped massively. I can’t thank them enough for all the time and effort they have done with my son. Seeing my son develop has been amazing, even if it is baby steps. I can’t thank them
enough, from the bottom of my heart, they have done amazing. I thank all the girls so much who have helped my son in the last 6/7 months. Since my son joined, I’ve never had a problem or had to complain about anything at all; they understand everything. Would defo recommend them to family and friends.

My daughter has been attending this setting since January 2021. She has really started to come out of her shell since moving into the older room and has made some lovely friends. Her best friend is one of the key workers, who she adores and will always go to her when she is feeling sad or just for a
cuddle! They have all been so good with my little one, and I have 100 per cent confidence that she is safe and happy when I leave her in the mornings. The staff at Carousel are all friendly and welcoming, which has made a safe and happy environment for my little one, helping her to grow.

My child has been going to Spring Nursery Carousel nursery for about a year now, and the staff have been lovely and very accommodating to my child’s fussy eating habits. My daughter has thrived and come on leaps and bounds. Would recommend this nursery to any parent.

All my children have attended this nursery, and I've never once had an issue with it. All the staff are so lovely and attentive, nothing ever seems to be an issue, especially as I’m over-cautious. I’d recommend this nursery 100%.

Lovely environment, friendly, welcoming staff. Good activities are set out each day to support and encourage the children's development.

The staff communicate extremely well at all times about any concerns regarding anything and everything.
General information for everyone, individual accident reports for my charge. Any specific activities that my grandchild has been involved with.
They are friendly staff, great communicators, engage

My son loves this nursery, and its staff are incredibly accommodating. You receive regular updates and learning milestones updates, and the food they serve is interesting, if not a little grown-up for the younger children, but in my opinion, that's great for developing tastebuds to explore a range of
new flavours! It is expensive in comparison to childminders prices, but with the funded hours and extra help available it's more than worth it to have them in a more school-like setting.

The preschool has been very helpful and makes my girls feel safe at preschool.
My girls love going and get excited every time.
They come home telling me about their day and what they have been up to.

This is such an amazing setting for any preschool child. They are fully inclusive and really child-focused. My son has gained so much confidence and independence whilst in attendance. I wouldn't send my children anywhere else. The meals are great for getting your child to try things they may not at
home, and the staff keep you fully informed/updated on all that is happening.

Ever since my boys have attended this nursery, I’ve seen many improvements. They really enjoy going to nursery. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the manager is really responsive and willing to help. I would recommend this place to everyone with little ones.

My son has been going to the nursery since February. He seems to be very happy to go on the days he does attend and has a good bond with the staff. They always keep me up to date on the app and answer any questions I may have. My son is delayed in his speech, and his key worker has always worked to
improve this, even when I mentioned he struggles with the letter L, that week I noticed a phonics activity set up with the letter L. Hopefully when Covid rules have lifted, and I can come into the nursery, I will be able to see more of what he gets up to there.

We love the nursery. All the staff are really helpful. Both of our children have been very happy there and happy to attend. The day to day activities keeps them occupied and stimulated. I would highly recommend Spring Nursery Carousel Chapel Hill.

My son is autistic and (was) non-verbal when he started in September 2020, and as you can imagine, it was a very hard transition (more for me than for my son). However, the amazing staff made the transition effortless, and the constant support and willingness to work together have produced amazing results
(my son starting to talk). The manager and another particular staff member have been so supportive in obtaining his EHCP and went over and above to support with issues with the local authority and my son's challenges. This isn't a special provision nursery, however, for any parents with children who require special attention, you couldn't find a better provision.

I couldn’t be any happier with our choice to have sent our daughter to Spring Nursery Carousel. The staff here are just fantastic - attentive, caring, friendly and always welcoming.
Our daughter has additional needs, and throughout her time here, we saw her confidence grow and grow. She absolutely
loved her sessions and adored her keyworker.
She is devastated to have left for school and asks on a daily basis when she’ll be coming back, and I think really that says it all!

My child loves coming here. The staff are so friendly and caring. I love hearing about how the staff spends their days, creating bonds and friendships with my child. Even though she doesn't go as often as she used to, she is always made to feel welcome, safe and almost as if she hasn't been away. One
lady seems to be a favourite, and I hear all about what they do together on that day. I know my child is very well looked after during her time here, and she's always so excited and eager to return. The manager is also very helpful, and nothing is ever too much trouble. Everything is very appreciated from the staff between us both.

Jade has worked for the company since 2011 and holds a level 3 childcare qualification. Jade strives to ensure that the children are at the heart of all decisions and ensures they are learning and developing through many areas of play. Jade loves to see the children thrive.


Jade also has a daughter and loves to be creative and messy.


Jade is also the SENCO alongside the deputy and also has a mental health first aid certificate

Carly is Spring Carousels, deputy manager. She is Level 3 qualified and is based all over the nursery setting supporting the rooms with quality and the office with managerial tasks.

Amy Smee

Amy is our Senior Practitioner and works within our Explorers room.


She holds a level 3 childcare qualification.


Amy is also our student coordinator and ensures students feel supported when learning in our setting.

She is also our fundraising coordinator alongside her team member and enjoys planning fun activities for us all to take part in.

Brad has a level 3 qualification and is based in our inventors room as the senior room lead. Brad has also taken on the role of garden coordinator and has lots of fresh ideas to spruce up or large play area.
