Green Park Day Nursery offers a friendly and caring atmosphere for children aged from birth to five years in Reading.

The highly qualified staff implement both structured and free-play activities designed in line with EYFS principles. Children get daily access to the garden which helps to improve social, emotional and physical development. The nursery has a Nature Island which is an outdoor forest area for children aged 3+. They also offer a sing and sign programme for Under 2s and a formal phonics programme for Pre- School ahead children.

Green Park Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Usports every Friday morning for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

The nursery offers a fully inclusive package and is open from 7.30 am-6.30 pm whilst giving a convenient service to parents.

The staff are very caring and diligent. The children are always entertained and active. My toddler has a fantastic time there every day. I was worried about my baby as it was his first time at nursery but the staff have been very patient and loving and he has settled in very well. The menus are healthy,
varied and thoroughly appetising. Thank you, Green Park nursery!

My little one has now been attending Green Park one day a week since July 2019, starting in the Caterpillar Room and has now moved up to the Ladybird Room.
All staff are extremely friendly, professional and polite, who are always very happy to help and nothing is too much. We cloth nappy and I breastfeed
and this has been accommodated happily and comfortably. They were all very helpful and understanding when our little one was starting and they understand how hard it is to leave your child and make the process and transition smooth. The food provided is well balanced and nutritious, and there is a wide range of activities provided for the children to enjoy. We also get pictures at the end of the day to show us what our little one has been up to. My little one is happy here and enjoys nursery and we’re so pleased we picked this nursery!

Every time I pick my granddaughter up or drop her off, I enjoy the happy atmosphere in the preschool. All the staff are very friendly. Lovely environment for children. We'll done everybody!!

My daughter (2-years-old) has a very good relationship with all of the staff. She copy's and learns the communication, a lot from her key person and also other staff. She plays very well inside and outside, each day she wants to say bye-bye to the ladybird, and the traffic lights in different rooms.
Eat good, play good, talk a lot, which lets me be relieved/assured about her. I think this is due to the kind staff and good management in the nursery. Thanks!

Our daughter is 1 year old and has been with Green Park nursery for over 5 months. We are very pleased with the services and level of care so far. She enjoys being here and had lots of fun during the daily activities.
The carers seem to enjoy what they do and always tell us what she has been up to.
A
big reason for choosing this nursery is also the working hours being 7.30 until 18:30. We do not have to worry about getting there in time for pick up.

My son has been attending the Ladybird room for a year now and he loves it there, the activities they lay out are amazing and my son gains a lot of learning through his play. The handover at the end of the day is brilliant and always informative. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My niece attends the nursery and it's just amazing. The activities set up in the morning are very detailed and she loves it. For a 2-year-old she is very advanced and I believe this is because of the education and care of all the amazing staff.

My little girl has a lovely time at nursery. She is still a baby and the staff are very caring and nothing is too much. The environments are age appropriate and fun. Good communication between staff and management. Best nursery and completely trust all staff with caring for my baby. Would highly recommend.

I would be likely to recommend the nursery when asked. We have enjoyed many years here.
Only cause for concern would be the cleanliness of the toilets on occasions.

My daughter has been in Green Park Nursery since she was 8 months old. The staff are amazingly caring and patient with kids. Daily feedback from the staff is so important and they are always up to it. Care, friendly, approachable and kind are some words that will describe this place. I can highly recommend

My daughter started Pre School in January 2019 and I am extremely impressed with her progress with both her learning and behaviour.
She has developed an amazing relationship with her key worker. She is always happy when I pick her up, has made friends with lots of children and generally fitted in
well all-round.
The staff are all very friendly and make an effort to say hello and goodbye as you enter the building. I also get feedback daily in regards to her day which is always nice to hear. I would highly recommend Green Park Nursery to other parents.

My daughter started nursery at the beginning of this year and to say I was nervous was an understatement. My daughter is an ex-premature baby so I think I worry a little more than most about her health and wellbeing as she has a few minor lasting issues but the staff have been fabulous reassuring me
and giving me updates. My daughter has taken to 2 particular staff members and it's lovely to see her get comforting cuddles from them when she first arrives. Although she is still a bit nervous she doesn't stop telling me how much fun she has had each day and it sounds like the activities she engages in are excellent

I'm very happy with this nursery. The staff are very nice and professional. My son loves going there. The learning and activities are also appropriate to his age.
I'm impressed as he knows how to count from 1 to 10 and he knows the ABC song and he's only 2 years old.
I would recommend this nursery

Emma is the Manager of Green Park and has worked in the Early Year’s sector since 2004. Emma achieved her BA(Hons) in Early Years Child Development and Education, as well as Early Years Professional Status. Emma joined Childbase in 2013.


What is your favourite feature of Green Park?
The large spacious rooms and outdoor space including the forest school.
