Green Park Day Nursery offers a friendly and caring atmosphere for children aged from birth to five years in Reading.

The highly qualified staff implement both structured and free-play activities designed in line with EYFS principles. Children get daily access to the garden which helps to improve social, emotional and physical development. The nursery has a Nature Island which is an outdoor forest area for children aged 3+. They also offer a sing and sign programme for Under 2s and a formal phonics programme for Pre- School ahead children.

Green Park Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Usports every Friday morning for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

The nursery offers a fully inclusive package and is open from 7.30 am-6.30 pm whilst giving a convenient service to parents.

My son was very shy from being isolated for a long period of time, he wouldn’t want anyone but me, but since going to nursery, he has built a great bond with the staff and smiles when he sees them at the door to collect him. He loves going to nursery. I am so pleased with how well he has settled in,
and that’s thanks to the staff.
I really enjoy reading about his day, what he has enjoyed doing, when I read it, I feel included in his day. Most of all, I enjoy how happy he is when I collect him, babbling away trying to tell me everything he has done.

Since going back to nursery after a few months of lockdown, my husband and I feel that our son is progressing day by day, being very chatty on the way home, and telling us all about his wonderful nursery adventures. We read the reports on the portal very thoroughly after each day, and we love learning
about his day. He is a lot happier now, and he seems to be developing skills more rapidly. He is more talkative, and a lot more sociable too. He eats very well while at nursery, even better than when at home with us.
We love Green Park Day Nursery, the setup but the staff, especially who take such good care of our little one!

My little boy is 11.5 months and started at Green Park a few weeks ago. We were worried about how he would settle in having only spent time with us because of Covid, but the team have been great. They talked to us at lengths about his usual routines, and we worked out a schedule for the first few weeks
to gradually increase from a couple of hours to full days. He is eating and sleeping well, and we can see a difference in his development now that he has the opportunity to interact with other babies! The staff clearly communicate well with each other because they are knowledgeable about his likes/dislikes and schedule at drop off and pick up, as well as providing detailed information every day via an app. We are very pleased with everything, and he is clearly having fun!

My son has been going to this nursery for about a month now. He has settled well, many thanks to the staff. He requires special needs and the staff along with the SENCO team are working very well to cater to his needs, thereby helping him learn and develop in his own pace. I love to see the daily online
updates of my son with photos, and a general comment on what activities he was involved with.
The staff are adhering to strict protocols due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation, also involving safe handing over and collection of children.
I highly recommend Green Park Day Nursery.

My daughter is always happy to go to nursery at Green Park. The staff are excellent, very kind, and obviously, really get to know the children in their care. I was nervous to leave my daughter at nursery at first, but now, I have no concerns as I am confident she is being well very well looked after

I was anxious about my son starting nursery as he has never been looked after by anyone except my parents, husband or myself. The nursery has been absolutely fantastic at putting me at ease. I trust all of the staff to look after my child and to provide a fun environment in which he can thrive.
Furthermore,
the staff have gone above and beyond to help with dealing with the complex dietary requirements my son has, due to multiple food allergies. All members of the team are friendly, professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. When I have sent queries via email, replies from the nursery have been extremely prompt and have provided all the information I needed.
I would recommend this nursery to friends, family and for any parents who feel concerned about leaving their child at nursery for the 1st time (in other words all parents!). Your child will be in great hands!

My lovely niece has been at Green Park Day Nursery for a couple of months now, and she loves it. She has developed so quickly and learn to say some single words at 10-months-old. We moved to the UK 2 years ago.
We signed up our then 9 month son to the Green Park nursery, as they accepted us straight away, and it very convenient as it is close to work and gym.
He is 2 and a half now, and we are not even considering changing nursery.
We have been happy with it overall and
we have been recommending it or colleagues and friends.
Personally, we don't have any other experience with other nurseries, but what we hear from other people, we think this is an expectant place for your little ones.
Again, highly recommended.

My daughter has been attending Green Park Nursery for nearly a year now, she has developed wonderfully since then thanks to the hard work and dedication of the staff there. There are multiple activities every day to keep her entertained and I read with joy that she enjoys the food so much she eats double
portions most days.
During the lockdown, the nursery stayed open and provided a full service for keyworkers like myself which took a huge burden off my shoulders and for that I am so very grateful.
Cost each month is in the upper range locally, but what my daughter receives is incredibly good value for money. Overall an excellent nursery.

We selected Green Park as the nursery for my daughter as it was convenient for travel to/from work. We moved at the end of 2019 and decided to keep her at Green Park (despite the fact it is now the wrong direction for the journey to work) because of the outstanding experience she has had at the nursery.
My daughter will be leaving in September to start school and will be genuinely sad to leave her friends and staff. The staff have been excellent throughout the whole of her time at the nursery, and we could not be happier with the care she had received. The staff have fantastic relationships with the children. We have been equally impressed with how the nursery has dealt with the pandemic this year, clear communication throughout the last few months with safety at the heart of what they were doing.
We would highly recommend Green Park to any families looking for a nursery for their child.

We were surprised and happy at how our son quickly settled during his first month at the nursery despite the lack of previous socialising due to Covid. The whole team in the ladybirds room were fantastic and always there for answering our queries and meeting any special needs. Special thanks to the
manager as well who was always there for us in constantly changing situations. We are looking forward to him starting again in September.

Green Park Nursery always put the children first. The staff are very well organised and, during a difficult time, have retained their ability to provide a happy, safe and fun environment for all the children. Their communication with parents is excellent and we are always kept in the loop with how our

I am extremely grateful to Green Park Nursery and I am very impressed with the way you have and are handling the situation during this unprecedented time. Our daughter loves to come and has made great progress in a few months. All the staff have been very professional and creative to keep the little
ones entertained (e.g. home cinema, music festival). At no time has my daughter felt anxious or worried about the current situation but stayed happy, confident and delighted to come to the nursery.

This is a very good nursery. The open plan layout is brilliant, gives the young ones an insight into what they will move into.
The staff are the best, they are really professional and very carrying. My daughter loves going, she especially loves the gardens there and the ability to roam around within
her class.
If you are thinking of sending your child to nursery you will be hard pushed to do better than here.

My son has been going to Green Park Nursery since August 2019 and he absolutely loves it there. He was a bit apprehensive at first due to being in a new place but it wasn't long until he was off with the staff and waving me goodbye. The staff are friendly, professional, and take the time to talk to
parents which is great. The rooms are excellent, providing the right level of stimulation for the age of the children in the room as well as age-appropriate toys and activities. I particularly like that the nursery is open plan, so children can see each other in the other rooms, and the outdoor areas are shared. Since going to Green Park Nursery, my son has developed excellent social skills, has developed well emotionally and is given the right opportunities to make sure he meets the EYFS goals. I could not recommend this nursery more.

My daughter started here in July 2019 (10 months old) in the caterpillar room and has since moved up to ladybirds. It's an extremely well-run nursery and staff are super attentive. One can tell they are genuinely motivated in their jobs. The important point is that my daughter comes home happy every
day and has bonded with so many staff there (even though they don't specifically work in her room). I had viewed other nurseries and Green Park stands out as being organised, reliable and clean. Worth mentioning that they have been so reliable during lockdown/these uncertain times to allow key workers to continue. They were quick in communicating to us the new procedure changes and gave us such peace of mind. Thank you.

I’m so happy we were able to send our daughter to Green Park! She has been in a nursery setting since she was 4-months-old and this has been the best thing for her. She is thriving, and the nursery supports her development in every way possible. She comes home every day full of stories and very tired!
She
is attending nursery at the moment, and whilst the team are ‘only’ providing childcare, she is continuing to learn and advance and is getting. So much more than ‘just’ care. I can’t thank the team enough, and she loves all the staff at the nursery.

My daughter started attending Green Park Nursery in January at 10 months old, and although I have been worried about leaving her, she has settled in amazingly with all of the help and reassurance from the staff in the Caterpillar room. My daughter is learning new things every day and thriving under
the care of the team at Green Park. The staff have also taken into consideration all of her needs and follow the routine she is in at home. We love this nursery!

Emma is the Manager of Green Park and has worked in the Early Year’s sector since 2004. Emma achieved her BA(Hons) in Early Years Child Development and Education, as well as Early Years Professional Status. Emma joined Childbase in 2013.


What is your favourite feature of Green Park?
The large spacious rooms and outdoor space including the forest school.
