Green Park Day Nursery offers a friendly and caring atmosphere for children aged from birth to five years in Reading.

The highly qualified staff implement both structured and free-play activities designed in line with EYFS principles. Children get daily access to the garden which helps to improve social, emotional and physical development. The nursery has a Nature Island which is an outdoor forest area for children aged 3+. They also offer a sing and sign programme for Under 2s and a formal phonics programme for Pre- School ahead children.

Green Park Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Usports every Friday morning for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

The nursery offers a fully inclusive package and is open from 7.30 am-6.30 pm whilst giving a convenient service to parents.

Such a lovely nursery and friendly staff.
My daughter has been going to nursery since she was 2 and is about to leave to start school.
She has progressed so much being in the nursery and has become really outgoing and loves the different activities the school provides.

Just wanted to drop a note to say thank you for the really clear guidance on how to assess when/if to send children to nursery in respect of the ever-evolving government rules on covid.

Our son has just spent a year at Green Park and we couldn’t be happier with the nursery.
He absolutely thrived there - leaving with a smile on his face and tired after a busy day. His language, vocabulary and understanding of the world seemed to grow week by week.
Communication was excellent, food
always seemed to be well received and staff were very friendly and approachable.

My experience so far with Green Park Day Nursery has been exceptional. They take care of my boy so well and always keep him active and busy. I always pick him up with a smile on his face. They have very nutritious meals, a great focus on learning and a highly skilled team. Always plenty of updates on
the app with pictures and comments to know how my boy has been enjoying his day.

Green Park Day Nursery is the best! We fell in love with it the moment we stepped through the door. Outside space is something that was really important to us and Green Park prioritises that. Our son has been attending since he was 10 months old (now 2) and every member of staff he has interacted with
over that time has been wonderful. He continues to develop every day and absolutely loves going to nursery. Highly recommened.

The staff at the nursery are all wonderful. From those in charge of the children to the administration team and the culinary staff. I feel confident to leave my son in the care of the fantastic team at the nursery. They are all very patient, caring, friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Throughout
a very difficult time, they have all risen to the challenges that they have faced. When contacted via telephone or email, their response time is impressive and they are very quick to help with complex problems or additional needs. Thank you for doing such a super job each and every day!

Green Park Day Nursery is awesome! My 15-month-old daughter absolutely loves it and is always very excited when sees her teachers. She attends her regular room, where along with her friends she has lots of fun (often messy, which is great!). We are well informed about our child's progress and what she
was doing every day. We are 100% happy with this nursery and definitely recommend it to all parents!

My little one joined this nursery in August 2020 and has been so enjoying life there with staff and roommates! Though it has been difficult during the pandemic, all the staff have been working very hard to keep everyone safe and to provide high-standard care, I truly think they are heroes. As working
from home parents, we can concentrate on our jobs and not worry about a thing as we know our little one is in safe and professional hands. They teach her a lot, accompany her all the time, with great patience and care. We are often surprised by how brilliant her progress is even in the current very special 'isolated society'. My little one also experienced room change from Caterpillar to Ladybird when she hit the age limit, the staff in both rooms provided a very thoughtful and smooth transition so she can settle down quickly with the new environment. We never had a single moment of doubting our option and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nursery.

My daughter has been attending Green Park Day Nursery every Monday since January this year and absolutely loves it. Considering she only attends one day a week she has settled in so well and is happy to see her key worker every week when I drop her off. I enjoy seeing all the updates each week including
photos and the daily reports provided. I would highly recommend this nursery. The facilities are amazing and the staff are nothing but helpful and friendly.

My daughter has attended the nursery for just over a year now and is about to move up into Bumblebees. From the day she started all staff we have met have been so friendly and helpful, putting us at ease during the early days of her starting and especially through a global pandemic. Staff really take
the time to develop positive relationships with the children and my daughter always has such fun. I frequently have reports about her development and all staff are excellent at working towards her meeting key development stages. The procedures that have been put in place during the pandemic are communicated effectively to parents and are very reassuring at such an uncertain time. Whenever I have a question on any matter staff are so quick at getting back to me. They are also extremely accommodating should the need arise for an extra session, this has been greatly appreciated. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Green Park Day nursery for all your hard work and positivity.

My daughter joined the Green Park Day Nursery in January 2021 and she loves it! She is excited and happy when she sees her carers. We can tell she has fantastic care and enjoy her nursery! The staff is lovely and caring! There is plenty of various activities, which is what is needed. Great communication

My little boy has been so happy at Green Park Nursery. The staff are caring and keep open lines of communication with parents at all times regarding daily activities. My child has been attending Green Park Nursery since November 2020 and has really enjoyed every single day. He is 2 years old and thrives
on learning and has been so stimulated. He is so happy and often runs off at drop off he is so happy to see his teacher and friends.
I would highly recommend Green Park Nursery to any parent.

Our wee man is very happy at Green Park. He’s so excited to leave the house in the morning, goes into nursery with a smile on his face and comes out with a smile on his face, which is wonderful. The daily messages and photos from his day are something we look forward to seeing, especially as we can’t
see him in that environment at all at the moment, sadly.
The staff have been really amenable to discussing any concerns we’ve had with various arrangements, such as managing nappy rash or sleeping patterns, which has been very helpful.
Communication on Covid arrangements have been clear and timely, and we get a strong sense of a well-run nursery.
Keep going, you’re doing a really important job to help develop lovely young ones.

My second child is now attending this nursery despite moving my workplace further away.
I felt that I would not be able to match the excellent care and education offered by all the staff at Green Park Day Nursery so decided not to move my daughter.
The staff are all friendly and approachable and
the nursery has been amazing in its efforts during this pandemic to keep all the staff and children safe, whilst still maintaining a high level of care/education.
They have strived and achieved in providing excellent communication to parents even though we are unable to enter the building due to Covid restrictions.
Thanks to all the staff for their hard work and dedication during what has been a difficult year.

My son has attended Green Park Day Nursery since he was 9 months old. He is now 3.5 and in the pre-school room. This nursery has been outstanding throughout this time. I always feel extremely confident that my son is happy, having a lot of fun and learning new things all of the time. The staff are excellent
and clearly love what they do. The pre-school has been amazing for preparing my son for starting school so far, and in particular the forest school has really sparked the children’s imagination.
I wanted to highlight what an excellent job all of the nursery staff have done to bring happiness and normality to the children in what have been very difficult circumstances this year and last year. The communication to parents and the activities put on for the children has been outstanding. Thank you.

We can’t recommend Green Park Day Nursery enough. Our daughter started just before her second birthday and we hadn’t used formal childcare before. Starting a new setting in the middle of a pandemic was a concern for us as parents but we needn’t have been worried. The staff at Green Park are knowledgeable,
friendly and have the children’s best interests at heart. Our daughter struggled initially with her new routine and naturally this tugged at our heart strings. The staff were empathetic, took time to reassure us and went above and beyond to help her to settle. Our daughter is now really happy at nursery and is so excited to go. She has a great relationship with all of the adults.
There is a great range of activities and resources and we have noticed progress in all areas of her development. There is a wide-ranging, healthy menu with snacks provided throughout the day.

My son has attended this nursery from the age of 10-months, he is soon turning three, and I can’t recommend the nursery enough. My son has come on leaps and bounds and grown in so many ways from the nursery. The staff are amazing and so helpful, they go out of their way to help you and the child in
every situation. Their extra supportive in all aspects. My son is in the process of an autism diagnosis, and they tend to his needs brilliantly, and their help and support have been out of this world not just for my son but also as a parent! I can’t thank them enough! Amazing nursery, amazing staff! 10/10!

Emma is the Manager of Green Park and has worked in the Early Year’s sector since 2004. Emma achieved her BA(Hons) in Early Years Child Development and Education, as well as Early Years Professional Status. Emma joined Childbase in 2013.


What is your favourite feature of Green Park?
The large spacious rooms and outdoor space including the forest school.
