Green Park Day Nursery offers a friendly and caring atmosphere for children aged from birth to five years in Reading.

The highly qualified staff implement both structured and free-play activities designed in line with EYFS principles. Children get daily access to the garden which helps to improve social, emotional and physical development. The nursery has a Nature Island which is an outdoor forest area for children aged 3+. They also offer a sing and sign programme for Under 2s and a formal phonics programme for Pre- School ahead children.

Green Park Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Usports every Friday morning for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

The nursery offers a fully inclusive package and is open from 7.30 am-6.30 pm whilst giving a convenient service to parents.

My son joined in Sept 12 and leaves Sept 16. In this time he has developed into an independent, smart and caring boy. I trust the nursery on every level. I have never worried when dropping him off and leaving him every day. I always return to a content and exhausted little boy, full of tales and stories.
From a practical point of view, the nursery offers a fantastic service. The extended hours make a huge difference, helping us maintain a worklife balance. The quality of the food that is served is always good. The variety has helped our son not be fussy with his food. The activities arranged and provided ensure he is always entertained and learning as he goes. I especially love how the children are integrated into the local environment such as sports at the multi-use court over the road and outings on the bus.
Good communication has lead to an open relationship to discuss areas of work and planned ways of tackling any issues has meant an even level of care at home and at the nursery.

Nursery has been very supportive since my little one joined when she was one. She treats her teacher and nursery friends as family. The team from manager, teachers to support staff have been professional and keep making improvements.

I would just like to say how wonderful the nursery really is, they accommodate children with all needs and understand anxious parents. The management team treat the children as family I feel, my child is 4 and and talks about " nanny" a lot. I have had medical issues with my children and they completely
understood all of them and take great care. My children have flourished in the nursery and I would never doubt recommending it to someone.

What a great Nursery, my son was previously at another nursery and has recently transferred to Green Park due to moving area. I was very worried about this transition as he was extremely settled in his previous Nursery. I needn't of worried!
The transition was seamless and communication between the
staff and myself has been fantastic. They always give me detailed feedback that is personal to my son and confirms to me they know him as an individual. There is always a smile and helping hand when ever needed and most importantly he his happy, settled and content in his new environment. He continually talks about his carers at home and is always happy to leave me in the mornings. What more can I ask for?

Be careful with this nursery, make sure you read all their terms and conditions like 6 weeks notice etc when you sign up.. They would ask you to check website for terms and conditions.. not very satisfied with nursery.. Not much attention given to learning and development.

Green Park were outstanding! its not easy having to leave your six month old bundle of joy, but thankfully they made it easy for me. Wonderful friendly staff, always ready for little baby cuddles. Great facilities her three year old sister could visit on her days in. Excellent food. Thank you Green

We are very happy at Green Park. My son's key worker knew him really well and made it a wonderful experience for him. He loved playing hide 'n' seek with her in the garden. Also he had a great bond with another member of staff who read stories and played games with. They have taught him so much and
have helped him settle into the next room. He has not been in Bumblebee's long but I can see he is going to enjoy it as much as Ladybird's and be thoroughly cared for and looked after.

My child has been coming to the nursery for 2 years now and has really enjoyed it. I have always been impressed with the friendliness of the staff and they are very approachable. Emma is the Manager of Green Park and has worked in the Early Year’s sector since 2004. Emma achieved her BA(Hons) in Early Years Child Development and Education, as well as Early Years Professional Status. Emma joined Childbase in 2013.


What is your favourite feature of Green Park?
The large spacious rooms and outdoor space including the forest school.
