Green Park Day Nursery offers a friendly and caring atmosphere for children aged from birth to five years in Reading.

The highly qualified staff implement both structured and free-play activities designed in line with EYFS principles. Children get daily access to the garden which helps to improve social, emotional and physical development. The nursery has a Nature Island which is an outdoor forest area for children aged 3+. They also offer a sing and sign programme for Under 2s and a formal phonics programme for Pre- School ahead children.

Green Park Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Usports every Friday morning for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

The nursery offers a fully inclusive package and is open from 7.30 am-6.30 pm whilst giving a convenient service to parents.

My son really enjoys going to Green Park Day Nursery. He always has a smile on his face when I go to pick him up. The staff are very attentive and have good feedback for me. The activities they layout always look attractive and inviting. Everyone is very friendly and it feels like a homely environment.
I would highly recommend this nursery.

I would not recommend this nursery to any of my friends and family. Staff here doesn’t care about the children. You can pick up your kid without reporting to anyone.
No one was usually available to give handover at the pick up.
Concerns were not addressed properly. Rather than doing some purposeful
good learning activities, most of the time kids watch some cartoon story (not educational ) on the projector screen. I raised it to the key worker who said kids only watch it for an hour, that too late in the afternoon (which was not the case as my little one told me how frequently she watches cartoon films on the projector).
In a nutshell, my experience was not good at this place.

I have had 2 of my kids attend this nursery and it has been a very good decision. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Anytime you call or go to see them they are always ready and happy to assist with whatever queries or request. The environment has a positive vibe to it. The children always look
happy and yes they do learn loads there. Play areas for the little ones are neat, bright and spacious as well as colourful. Will definitely recommend to friends.

My little one has loved nursery and especially his care worker who is fantastic with putting my little one at ease. Every day it is lovely to hear what he has been up to. I would like to have things to take home, however, such as artwork when they have been doing painting (he may be too young for this
yet perhaps?)
The staff are fantastic, and very welcoming and make sure every question you have is answered and they are very proactive. I have already recommended this nursery to a friend whose child also loves it. The toys are lovely at the nursery and always kept in a good condition.

My son has been at Green Park Day Nursery full time since he was 10 months old; he is now 4. My son has adored the nursery, they are very creative and keep the children safe and entertained! The staff there have done a great job of moulding my son into a polite, caring and sensible little boy. He would
not be so advanced, had he not gone to this nursery.
The nursery has a family feel, I can honestly say, I trust the staff at Green Park Day Nursery wholeheartedly. As with all places, there are a few minor improvements that could be made:
Toilets can get quite messy and isn't always cleaned quickly.
Sometimes there is too many temp staff on duty, and children aren't cared for as well. (The full-time staff treat the children like their own, temp just do their job)
They can't discipline the children, so occasionally this leads to a wild child causing havoc for the other children.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend Green Park Day Nursery to anyone thinking of joining, my son has truly enjoyed his time there and we are sad to say bye!

Over the past 3 years, both of my sons have attended Green Park Day Nursery. From caterpillars to preschool we were very pleased with the staff, food and most importantly the care they gave. Nothing is perfect and when we did have an issue with potty training in preschool I was pleased that on making
a formal complaint the issue was addressed immediately. I would highly recommend Green Park Day Nursery to my friends and family.

My two children are attending the nursery. They both adapted quickly and love it there. The staff very helpful and kind. I see great improvement in my children's development. The nursery is clean and pleasant. The only downside is slightly high fees but I still think it is worth it.

My son had a few settling in sessions before Christmas of which I put him in for full days rather than a few hours, which I found worked better. Since starting full time at the start of January he has come on leaps and bounds.
All the staff are extremely friendly, polite and helpful and they are all
very good at what they do. My son's key worker always gives me an overview of the day's activities and what my son has been up to.
He went through a stage of being upset in the mornings when I left him, but the staff always encouraged him to take part in activities which soon took his mind off the reason he was upset.
He is always extremely happy when I collect him and I know he would've had a good day - every day.
The range of activities that is offered is second to none, he is currently enjoying learning about space and planets.
I would highly recommend this nursery, it is way above any of the others I viewed.

Our daughter has been going to the nursery since March this year and all this while the experience has been very good; our key person takes good care and attention to our daughter and her efforts are well supplemented by other members of the team. The app is also very good and it is populated quite

I would recommend all nurseries follow this nursery's good practices. The child's need are always paramount. In the time since February, I have not had any problems in the mornings as there is always such a happy greeting awaiting the children. The nursery staff very much involve you in what the child's
activities have been during the day. A full update on what the child has eaten, how long the child has slept is given. Children have good hydration as their own water bottles are always cleaned, filled and in reach of the child.
The toys are appropriate to the child's age and books and music can be often heard at story time or nursery rhymes songs and actions by the children. They are happy and eager to sing along. Staff always know their first name and always professional and friendly. Special thanks to all staff who do an amazing job with our precious children. Thanks to all the lovely staff who start our days with a smile. You're all pretty amazing.

Very good day nursery. I am confident our daughter was very well looked after, she made many friends, learnt to be ready for school (counting, writing some letters) being independent in the toilet (eating by herself). I would recommend it to anyone.

My little boy is in Preschool and absolutely loves it! He is always so excited and runs to the door all the time. The staff are friendly and always caring. He is very active and loves the garden which is lovely. Activities are always set on the children`s interests which is brilliant and helps with

Emma is the Manager of Green Park and has worked in the Early Year’s sector since 2004. Emma achieved her BA(Hons) in Early Years Child Development and Education, as well as Early Years Professional Status. Emma joined Childbase in 2013.
