Green Park Day Nursery offers a friendly and caring atmosphere for children aged from birth to five years in Reading.

The highly qualified staff implement both structured and free-play activities designed in line with EYFS principles. Children get daily access to the garden which helps to improve social, emotional and physical development. The nursery has a Nature Island which is an outdoor forest area for children aged 3+. They also offer a sing and sign programme for Under 2s and a formal phonics programme for Pre- School ahead children.

Green Park Day Nursery also offer the extracurricular activity of Usports every Friday morning for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

The nursery offers a fully inclusive package and is open from 7.30 am-6.30 pm whilst giving a convenient service to parents.

My daughter has been going to Green Park for a while now and we have seen her thrive! Her speech development has flourished. The nursery team were brilliant at settling her into nursery life and were proactive in supporting her developing and providing updates via the app. She loves going to nursery
and this is down to the staff and the care that they give her. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

Green Park Day Nursery is a lovely school with wonderful teachers and support staff. Lovely forest school on site. Staff are quick to respond to and resolve queries raised with them. My son was very happy at the school.

It takes a village to raise a child and Green Park Day Nursery is a village that you're gonna want to be part of. It is a brilliant nursery with an exceptional Team. My two kids attended Green Park from January 2017, until my youngest left for School this August 2023. It was no brainer that our second
child would also attend Green Park Day Nursery, despite us having three local Nurseries on our doorstep. The commute to Green Park for over six years was worth it for the tremendous care and attention, support and education that the team provides. Parenthood can be a daunting neighbourhood to navigate through, but Green Park's phenomenal team became an extension to our family. The team collaborated and supported us as parents/guardians and we regularly sought the team's advice and guidance as our little family grew and developed. Both of our kids begun school being extremely well prepared for the next stage of their lives, and Green Park Nursery truly helped contribute to that success.

Caterpillar room has been amazing for our son. He first started early July and just seeing how much he has settled in the last two months has been amazing. He no longer gets upset when he is dropped off and actually walks himself in with a smile on his face. We have also noticed he has come on with
his social development a lot more. He is now able to go and do things on his own when we are with other people. They always greet us with a smile when dropping him off and it's so lovely to see how happy he is when picking up.

My child has made massive progress, she is like a different baby now. Staff are so kind and caring. I feel so confident about leaving my child with them. I'm so looking forward to the next couple of months of my child beginning in the Caterpillar room and all the milestones she will achieve!

Our daughter of 16 months has been in Greenpark Day Nursery for 2 months and it is the best decision we have made. She is in the Caterpillar class and all the staff members are amazing. Our daughter has developed so much and is eating much better since going to the nursery. She comes home with new words
and hums songs she has learnt at the nursery. The staff add daily updates on the app to keep you well informed. We would highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending Green Park Day Nursery since she was 6 months. She is now 4 years old and will be going off to school in September! I honestly cannot fault this nursery, the staff are all welcoming and lovely! The children have a great range of resources and my daughter loves going down
to their forest school! My girl loves going into nursery and is always so excited to tell me about her day. I would have not felt comfortable leaving her at such a young age if I didn’t think this nursery was fab!

My son attends Green Park Day Nursery (Reading) and has been attending since he was one year old, he is now three. His sister also attended over nine years ago and the standard has been the same for all those years.
All the staff are so friendly, make me and my child feel at ease and my boy is thriving
with the help of everyone there.
I highly recommend this nursery for anyone and especially anyone nervous about placing their child in a nursery setting for the first time.
Also for a nursery that does constant messy activities for the children, it’s always kept so tidy and clean!

We have been so impressed with Green Park Day Nursery (Reading). Our son started just after Christmas and he loves it there! We really appreciated the settling-in sessions (of which we were given as many as we needed) as well as the thorough preparation by staff which put us at ease and meant we all
felt ready for him to start.
The staff are all so friendly and lovely and have taken the time to get to know our son and make him feel welcome and comfortable at the nursery. The team are always very helpful and takes the time to feedback at the end of the day as well as provide daily summaries on the app.
We also really appreciate the weekly newsletters, training opportunities for both staff and parents and the contributions that the nursery makes to the wider community (including fundraising).
We're so glad to have found a nursery where our son can thrive and those working with him provide a caring and safe learning environment!

Greenpark Nursery is an excellent nursery, my child loves going to nursery every day.

This is the most outstanding and one of the best nurseries in Reading. They are absolutely fantastic. My daughter started from the baby room and transitioned to ladybirds. She loved it there and was always eager to go. She learnt how to talk, tidy, greet etc. One staff member, in particular, is totally
a star and cannot be faulted in any way. Great experience we had and it’s such a shame we moved out of Reading.

My son has been at Green Park Day nursery for the past 3 years and he has loved it. The staff are friendly and professional. The care given to each child is based on their individual needs.
I have referred all my friends to the nursery as I knew their children would love it just as much as my son.

The staff at Green park made me feel comfortable leaving my 10-month-old with them. His key workers were always happy and excited to see him. I was always impressed by the activities they made for them, especially in the Caterpillar room.
It is lovely to see regular pictures of what your child is doing
and have a daily online update on food, naps, nappies etc, however as parentzone was often broken, we had only verbal handovers at the end of the day.
They have a good range of food on offer and we really appreciated the nursery is egg free as my child has an egg allergy.

The nursery has provided the best level of care for my child that you could wish for. They have supported me thoroughly too and have gone over and above to meet my child's needs and to help him at the nursery as well as tools for home as well. I have never met such kind and capable staff, you can tell
the staff are happy and they retain them well. Very grateful to all of them and cannot recommend them highly enough. They tick all boxes, safe, secure, friendly, engaging and supportive and my child has flourished whilst in their care.

My daughter was in this nursery since she was 10 months old for almost 2.5 years. She loved every single room but her all-time favourite was her last. My daughter attended Green Park Day Nursery for about nine months after switching from a different nursery. The difference was striking from the first day: highly motivated, cheerful staff who give you immediately the feeling that everyone enjoys being here - children and adults alike. In the beginning,
my daughter was always a bit upset at drop-off but staff have been very mindful and developed a routine with her to help her settle in. At pick-up, I always found her to be deeply focused in some game or activity, never unhappy and always chatty about her lively day. I really appreciated the short oral briefing about the activities they had done at the end of the day and a weekly newsletter keeps parents up-to-date on the day-to-day routine and upcoming events. I can recommend Green Park wholeheartedly!

Emma is the Manager of Green Park and has worked in the Early Year’s sector since 2004. Emma achieved her BA(Hons) in Early Years Child Development and Education, as well as Early Years Professional Status. Emma joined Childbase in 2013.


What is your favourite feature of Green Park?
