The beautiful Sonning Lane Day Nursery and Preschool is a redeveloped and enhanced home full of character and bright, airy rooms. There is a redesigned, vibrant sensory room which caters for children of all ages and an expansive one-acre garden, with age-appropriate areas for children to enjoy. There is a separate woodland adventure area for the children to explore, developing their teamwork and problem-solving skills.

The nursery is led by a Nursery Manager who’s had a vast career in Early Education, as well as Primary Education, and holds a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Award (SENDCO qualified). There are highly qualified staff members, including staff trained in Makaton and sign language, offering support to children who have additional needs. With qualified teachers and early years teachers, all with paediatric First Aid certificates, you can be sure your child will receive excellent care and an engaging learning experience from baby to preschool.

Sonning Lane Day Nursery and Preschool is the only nursery in the area with direct access to its own private, heated indoor swimming pool and it has two qualified swimming instructors providing small group swimming lessons. They have access to their own sports coach, offering sports such as tennis, football, rugby and obstacle courses to develop the children's fine and gross motor skills, as well as team skills. They also have a holiday club for children up to the age of 12.

This is a wonderful nursery and my son is so happy here. The staff are just wonderful and take such an interest in my son and his friends. His learning and development have far exceeded my expectations and seeing him skip in each time make me feel so comfortable leaving him.

I was initially sold on the garden and outside space - It's amazing. Plenty of room to run around and undertake various activities. I also like the fact that this garden is used in all weathers so as the children have fresh air and exercise daily. When inside, the children seem to be involved in a
number of activities with the aim of learning and development but also playing and having fun at the same time. The staff are friendly, caring and seem to be dedicated to the little ones in their care.

I literally cannot say a bad thing about our boy's nursery. The staff are extremely attentive, caring and experienced. The nursery itself is very clean and well equipped.
Our boy has developed so well and Bright Horizons Inglewood Day Nursery and Preschool has played a huge part in this.

A caring, stimulating and fun environment, full of opportunities to learn and play and grow as independent little people! The huge grounds and open space are amazing and the chance to swim, learn French and practice yoga add uniqueness to an already lovely and charming setting.

The staff at Bright Horizons Inglewood are so cheery and enthusiastic, it seems well managed and my son loves it there. The activities keep him entertained and the garden, which they spend a lot of time in, is excellent. He has learnt lots of words, colours, counting, nursery rhymes etc. The kids all
seem really happy. Parents are given a detailed run down of what happened during the day on collection and we get a weekly newsletter too. They also have activities/events throughout the year that parents are invited to join in with. The food is really good, he gets way better variety than I would manage at home and it's healthy. My son has multiple food allergies and they have been accommodated without any problem. Really happy with this nursery and although pricey, I think it is worth the money.

Overall, I am very pleased to send my daughter to Inglewood.
The only thing that lately bothers me is that for more than a month, there is partial light on the stairs, which lead to the 0-2 rooms and also in Holly 1 there is an area with no lights.
I assume there is a problem that need to be take
care off, but I would expect it to be fixed quicker.


Having stairs with the right light as should be, can bring falls of children and parents and having a dark area in Holly 1 room for the whole day is not nice, especially when it is dark outside in the winter time.


Another thing that for my opinion is a bit missing, is to expose the children, even in ages 0-2 to music activity. I know there is a sensory room, but I mean to invite someone that work with children with a few instruments. I believe it will be something that everyone will enjoy from.
As well as other activities with external person for the children, such as a person that doing activities with dolls like a theatre.

I often feel guilty about sending my son to nursery but when I think about the level and quality of care, facilities, and learning, I feel proud to send my son to Inglewood.


I visited several other nurseries in my local area before choosing Inglewood. It was the most expensive but by far the most

superior, most notably in size - room size and outdoor space is impressive.

The running of the nursery is fantastic. Staff are polite, enthusiastic and efficient. The swimming lessons are a huge advantage and the garden has everything a child could want. The menu is varied and I am always impressed with how well behaved the children are especially at meal times. As your child
progresses through the different rooms, they are given more responsibility i.e. preparing their own breakfast. No other nursery will compare to Inglewood.

My son has attended the nursery for the last two years and I cannot talk of the nursery highly enough.
He loves being there and has a great rapport with all the children who he meets there as well as the staff.
All the staff members are amazing in every room he has been in, and they genuinely love
what they do and the children.
The nursery is a friendly and secure environment where they do so much with the children, there is always something great going on.
It's going to be a come down when he finally has to leave and go to school!


Although it's a large nursery, the staff know you by name which gives it the personal touch.


I am so glad we found the nursery which was on this site too! I would recommend anyone to make a visit, it is definitely worth it.

Our son is now 3.5yrs, he has been going to Inglewood since he was 10 months old. He loves it, he is full of smiles at the end of every day and in turn, we love it!


The staff and facilities are fantastic and we have recommended it to others and as result, our nephew will be joining in April.

Inglewood is simply amazing. The only thing I would change is it's location as it's not in the village I live. Can't fault it in any way, they always keep me well informed, respond very well to all of our requests and my daughter loves going there every morning.

My daughter hasn’t been at nursery long but in the time that she has, she has really enjoyed it! The girls in her room are lovely and very supportive in the morning when I drop her off upset, they always know how to cheer her up very quickly! She is very fond of a certain member of staff who is also
her key person, which is lovely to see that she has built strong relationships so quickly. I feel completely confident in leaving her in their care and trust them to look and care for her well. She always comes home telling me what fun things she has done during the day which is great. I can tell that she loves it here and is very happy in her room.

I attended Inglewood Nursery in 1996. I have such great memories of being there. I knew that was the only place that I would send my child. I was so happy when I took my daughter there to have a look around and I knew instantly that I wanted her to start straight away. The quality of care is outstanding,
the facilities are amazing. I would highly recommend Inglewood to anyone wanting to put their child in full-time or part-time childcare.

From the moment our daughter started at Inglewood we have been certain we made the right choice for her. The staff helped us and her settle in quickly providing us with pictures to show how happy she was despite tears when we left and picked her up. Her development, through the staff's support and guidance,
has exceeded our expectations. She now runs in in the morning and is smiling happily when we pick her up making us very happy. Our only reservation is the door security but we are aware that they are reviewing this.

My daughter has attended Inglewood since she was a baby and she is now in her final year. She loves going and is always excited to arrive in the morning. All of the staff are brilliant and there are proper handovers at each end of the day so you can discuss any concerns. The children do a really wide
range of activities and the nursery has lots of great resources for them to use, and a lovely garden and pool. She is a very happy and confident little girl. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to other parents.

I'm passionate about creating environments that enable children to learn and develop in their own unique ways and watching the challenge themselves to build the foundations for life.


Outside of nursery life, I like to spend time with family and friends. I also have a 1-year-old daughter who I enjoy watching grow and develop.

Hello, my name is Jenna Carter, and I am excited to be part of the Inglewood family alongside Sam in a joint deputy position.


I have worked for Bright Horizons for 12 years and have been in various roles starting with the children in the rooms and progressing into management, which has given me good-quality knowledge and endless opportunities to develop further. I have an NVQ Level 3 and a diploma in business, working in one single Bright Horizons nursery for 11 years. I then had the opportunity to manage another Bright Horizons nursery where I have been for just over a year, I am now relishing the opportunity to join a team closer to home and bring new ideas to the setting to support in continuing to raise the standards at Inglewood.


I am passionate about children and building their confidence, and individual characters and becoming independent young people, bringing different opinions and ideas through play.


I believe that the team is the foundation of a successful nursery, having a positive and open partnership between families and the nursery is crucial for communication regarding the children and having their best interests at heart.

Hello my name is Sam and I have worked for Bright Horizons at Inglewood Nursery for 4 years. I have worked in Early Years for 18 years and in that time gained my BA HONS degree in Early Years Learning and Development and my Early Years Practitioner Status. During my time in the sector I have worked in a variety of settings from independent nurseries to term time preschools. I also spent a year in Ireland as an au pair and also ran a village preschool catering for children aged 2 to 4 years.


I am very passionate about the care and development of children particularly through their environments and the skills of the practitioners working with them. I enjoy training and developing a team and enhancing their own knowledge through what I have learnt over the years, and providing support to those staff who what to continue to develop their knowledge through accredited courses.


I am a mother of 2 boys aged 4 and 6 who both attended Inglewood nursery which enables me to see the setting from both a practitioner's view as well as a parental view. Inglewood is based in Sonning very close to the village and we have over the years developed a wonderful relationship with the community. We are continuing to build relationships with local businesses’ and schools and work holistically with local settings also.


As a full time working mum I understand how challenging it can be and aim to not only support the children in our setting but also their families and the challenges that can arise for busy working parents.


In my spare time I enjoy taking my two boys here there and everywhere for various escapades and adventures, which usually involve treasure hunting. We have a family dog who is usually brought along with us and living in Sonning myself we know the area very well for walks and being able to explore the beautiful countryside we have around us. When I’m not with my boys I can usually be found on the sofa with a book.
