The beautiful Sonning Lane Day Nursery and Preschool is a redeveloped and enhanced home full of character and bright, airy rooms. There is a redesigned, vibrant sensory room which caters for children of all ages and an expansive one-acre garden, with age-appropriate areas for children to enjoy. There is a separate woodland adventure area for the children to explore, developing their teamwork and problem-solving skills.

The nursery is led by a Nursery Manager who’s had a vast career in Early Education, as well as Primary Education, and holds a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Award (SENDCO qualified). There are highly qualified staff members, including staff trained in Makaton and sign language, offering support to children who have additional needs. With qualified teachers and early years teachers, all with paediatric First Aid certificates, you can be sure your child will receive excellent care and an engaging learning experience from baby to preschool.

Sonning Lane Day Nursery and Preschool is the only nursery in the area with direct access to its own private, heated indoor swimming pool and it has two qualified swimming instructors providing small group swimming lessons. They have access to their own sports coach, offering sports such as tennis, football, rugby and obstacle courses to develop the children's fine and gross motor skills, as well as team skills. They also have a holiday club for children up to the age of 12.

A fabulous nursery with wonderful staff and great facilities. I wouldn’t want my son to go anywhere else.
Everything runs like clockwork and I really like the new things that have been implemented like the information sheets provided when you collect your child.
It’s a very happy place for my son
to be and that is thanks to the staff and all the effort made by them.

My daughter has been at the nursery since June 2018 and we have been so happy with Inglewood. Every morning we drop her at nursery and she goes running in and can’t wait to start the day. The staff have been so caring from the start nothing is too much trouble for them. My daughter's key workers have
always had a great relationship with her, and have taken time to really get to know her. Overall, the staff are fantastic and the facilities are amazing, they are by far the best nursery facilities in the area. I would highly recommend Inglewood to other parents.

My son has been at Inglewood since October. Before he started I was very anxious due to the pandemic parents aren't allowed in the setting. However, he has thrived! He settled so quickly and the staff are excellent! You can tell they always have the children's best interest at heart, I love getting
a weekly observation, instead of staff updating a portal constantly throughout the day like other settings they have more time to focus on the children themselves and making sure they are happy! Brilliant nursery! The new manager is doing a great job and has already brought so much extra fun to the nursery although the pandemic has been restricting for them all. Highly recommend! Also lastly the price for the quality is amazing! It's a no brainer!

My son has attended Inglewood since he was 1 and he’s now 2.5. He has settled so well and the transitions between rooms have been handled excellently. The staff are very knowledgeable and understand and know how to handle every situation. My son always comes out smiling and the activities we are informed
he’s done are inventive and unique and fit my son's likes. The feedback is fantastic and I really feel I can trust the people who are caring for my son and know he’s been challenged and nurtured in the best way! Thank you, Inglewood! 5 stars!

I’m more than happy with Inglewood for my little girl. The staff, activities and facilities are all great. My little boy also attended Inglewood until he started school last September. He really enjoyed his time there and left the preschool room well prepared for school. He particularly enjoyed the
swimming lessons, sports days, reading with the teacher, and the great outdoor facilities.

We love Inglewood! So much space indoors and out, so many things to do! The staff are friendly and welcoming.
There are not many nurseries that can offer both forest school activities with their own grounds and swimming lessons in their own pool.

Inglewood House is a lovely nursery and our son has settled in very well there. All of the staff are great and I don't have any issues with dropping him off for the day. He gets fed well (the menus sound amazing) and has lots of time to play including messy play, painting etc.
If there are ever any
issues, the nursery will always inform us straight away. We know that he is in safe hands at Inglewood House.
The only thing to add is that it is a shame that the day fee isn't from 7:30am-6:30pm (like some nurseries) as sometimes it can be tricky juggling early/late meetings at work. However, you can put them in earlier and pick up later but there is an additional charge.

This is a lovely nursery. My daughter is very happy here and didn't seem at all phased when we upped her hours from half-days to full days which indicates she is very content being at Inglewood. The nursery staff are great with her and help encourage her eating when she transitioned to solids and also
help with her walking. It's nice to have an update on how she has been each day (naps, eating etc).

Very good Nursery to start up your young ones. There is a quality interaction between the teachers and the children, this is obvious when you look at the child's development and see how fast they are learning and adapting to different stages of growth. The nursery is also very neat and smells fresh
always. Things are in order and well organised. I also love the swimming for children which you rarely get in other nurseries.

My daughter started at this nursery 2 years ago (now in her last year) and settled in extremely well. The nursery staff were so attentive and caring she loved it. We had used the nursery for 3 years previously with my son who also loved it and it was good to see it hadn't lost any of the great values
it had then. The facilities and outdoor space are brilliant, not to mention having swimming pool access too. The office staff are always incredibly helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Hello, I'm Laura the Nursery Manager and I've been working in childcare since 2008. I started as an apprentice, completing my Levels 2 and 3 and then worked my way up to a manager’s position. During this time, I completed my BA (Hons) in Children’s Development and Learning.


I'm passionate about creating environments that enable children to learn and develop in their own unique ways and watching the challenge themselves to build the foundations for life.


Outside of nursery life, I like to spend time with family and friends. I also have a 1-year-old daughter who I enjoy watching grow and develop.

Hello, my name is Jenna Carter, and I am excited to be part of the Inglewood family alongside Sam in a joint deputy position.


I have worked for Bright Horizons for 12 years and have been in various roles starting with the children in the rooms and progressing into management, which has given me good-quality knowledge and endless opportunities to develop further. I have an NVQ Level 3 and a diploma in business, working in one single Bright Horizons nursery for 11 years. I then had the opportunity to manage another Bright Horizons nursery where I have been for just over a year, I am now relishing the opportunity to join a team closer to home and bring new ideas to the setting to support in continuing to raise the standards at Inglewood.


I am passionate about children and building their confidence, and individual characters and becoming independent young people, bringing different opinions and ideas through play.


I believe that the team is the foundation of a successful nursery, having a positive and open partnership between families and the nursery is crucial for communication regarding the children and having their best interests at heart.

Hello my name is Sam and I have worked for Bright Horizons at Inglewood Nursery for 4 years. I have worked in Early Years for 18 years and in that time gained my BA HONS degree in Early Years Learning and Development and my Early Years Practitioner Status. During my time in the sector I have worked in a variety of settings from independent nurseries to term time preschools. I also spent a year in Ireland as an au pair and also ran a village preschool catering for children aged 2 to 4 years.


I am very passionate about the care and development of children particularly through their environments and the skills of the practitioners working with them. I enjoy training and developing a team and enhancing their own knowledge through what I have learnt over the years, and providing support to those staff who what to continue to develop their knowledge through accredited courses.


I am a mother of 2 boys aged 4 and 6 who both attended Inglewood nursery which enables me to see the setting from both a practitioner's view as well as a parental view. Inglewood is based in Sonning very close to the village and we have over the years developed a wonderful relationship with the community. We are continuing to build relationships with local businesses’ and schools and work holistically with local settings also.


As a full time working mum I understand how challenging it can be and aim to not only support the children in our setting but also their families and the challenges that can arise for busy working parents.


In my spare time I enjoy taking my two boys here there and everywhere for various escapades and adventures, which usually involve treasure hunting. We have a family dog who is usually brought along with us and living in Sonning myself we know the area very well for walks and being able to explore the beautiful countryside we have around us. When I’m not with my boys I can usually be found on the sofa with a book.
