Both children go to Inglewood. My oldest had started another preschool six months before moving to Inglewood, but had to relocate. Inglewood just fitted right with us. Our oldest had a very easy transition, making new friends and having new teachers, she absolutely loves going and transitioned from half days to full days without even knowing it. Our youngest was only little when she joined, she's a very clingy baby and isn't left with anyone other than parents or grandparents and she has settled extremely well. We were worried she wouldn't nap there well as she doesn't nap anywhere other than her own cot, but she naps there so well and sometimes longer than she does at home. She has started speaking and joining sentences, you can already see she's learning and she's only been there two months and enjoys going. We can't recommend Inglewood enough. The staff are so friendly and obviously very good with the kids. The only downside is the price, it is slightly expensive.
Being a very gentle parenting mum I was petrified of my son starting nursery. I knew I would get a feeling for what was the right fit for us and Inglewood was it. They have honestly helped us both so much with the transition, they have been very patient and totally led by myself and my son on how much time and when. They've always given my time to discuss any concerns and ease my worries and I can happily say my son really loves it there. He constantly repeats with things that he's learnt, a new song etc and has been crazy in love with his key worker. I would really recommend this nursery, especially to any anxious parent, you won't regret it.
Our family loves Inglewood. We had a terrible childminding experience prior and were left thinking our one-year-old was not suited to care away from home and I would have to stop working. I phoned Inglewood and spoke to one of the managers and explained our situation and they saw us the next day. Our daughter took to Inglewood like a duck to water, she bounces out the door when I come to collect her and tells us about the activities she’s done. She talks about her nursery friends on days she’s at home and we absolutely love seeing updates of what she’s up to via the app. We’re always surprised by the variety of activities - from visiting zoos, to bridge making in the woods or cake baking, there are always educational elements to develop various skills and lots of fun. She has picked up great habits and good social skills. The staff are wonderful and we have so much confidence in them. She’s now been there 18 months and we cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.
My daughter (age 3) attends Acorn Pre-School at Inglewood Nursery and is flourishing under the nurturing care of the staff. She enjoys playing in the garden, painting, yoga, singing and dancing at nursery. She eats well and enjoys the food cooked on-site by the chef on a three-week menu. Pick-ups give nursery staff an opportunity to debrief parents about the day. The staff are welcoming and kind. I feel that staff know my child well and I am confident that I will be contacted should they have any concerns. The management team are always available to answer questions and support with financial matters. The nursery welcomes parental input and has offered online Zoom sessions to parents wishing to contribute their ideas. I would like to see swimming resumed for my daughter, maybe twice a week to make up for the loss of the use of the pool over the past year. I would recommend this nursery highly to parents.
My son joined Bright Horizons Inglewood Day Nursery and Preschool having struggled at another nursery. Moving him to Inglewood Day Nursery and Preschool was the best decision we made. He was previously reluctant to go to nursery and would barely talk to staff, however this is not the case having moved here! Our son runs into nursery in the morning and is excited to see everyone. He is keen to tell us all about the varied activities he takes part in. It is very clear that the children are in charge of their own learning and show the very able staff what it is they would like to discover. Outdoor learning is a huge part of the day and the beautiful gardens are definitely utiliised. The progress our son has made in a relatively short period of time and during these very testing times, is incredible and not just academically but more importantly to us, emotionally. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. All the staff are professional and the environment is safe and caring, where the children are at the forefront of everything.
Inglewood nursery and the staff really put all my worries at ease. The nursery is very warm and homely and child-friendly. This was my first time putting my 2 and 1-year-old in a nursery. I know that I made the best decision to put my kids in this nursery. The staff are very welcoming, approachable and caring. I have absolute trust that they look after my kids and the other kids in their care like their own. I love the fact that the staff makes time to discuss your child’s day face to face as well as documenting it. My kids always come out happy and always look forward to going. The manager there is an absolute delight. She is down to earth and gets involved with the kids and talks to parents. What I also love about the nursery is their openness during these difficult times. If ever there are any issues around symptoms of covid, parents will be informed and minds put at ease as the nursery will take the appropriate steps to ensure the safety and well-being of the children. Thank you.
This is such a wonderful nursery, my daughter loves going there and it’s heartening to see her have such a great time. The staff are lovely and very caring and have ensured she settles in well ( I simply can’t thank them enough for this). My daughter is more confident and outgoing since she moved to Bramble room (2-3's) and her speech has improved tremendously. This is a testament to the splendid work the team does at Bright Horizons Inglewood Day Nursery and Preschool! Totally recommend this nursery and the great team!
I think Inglewood is doing really well especially during these stressful circumstances. All the staff have done amazingly. My child really enjoys coming to nursery. Her language improves quickly. She likes the activities in the nursery.
Everything runs like clockwork and I really like the new things that have been implemented like the information sheets provided when you collect your child.
It’s a very happy place for my son to be and that is thanks to the staff and all the effort made by them.
My daughter has been at the nursery since June 2018 and we have been so happy with Inglewood. Every morning we drop her at nursery and she goes running in and can’t wait to start the day. The staff have been so caring from the start nothing is too much trouble for them. My daughter's key workers have always had a great relationship with her, and have taken time to really get to know her. Overall, the staff are fantastic and the facilities are amazing, they are by far the best nursery facilities in the area. I would highly recommend Inglewood to other parents.
My son has been at Inglewood since October. Before he started I was very anxious due to the pandemic parents aren't allowed in the setting. However, he has thrived! He settled so quickly and the staff are excellent! You can tell they always have the children's best interest at heart, I love getting a weekly observation, instead of staff updating a portal constantly throughout the day like other settings they have more time to focus on the children themselves and making sure they are happy! Brilliant nursery! The new manager is doing a great job and has already brought so much extra fun to the nursery although the pandemic has been restricting for them all. Highly recommend! Also lastly the price for the quality is amazing! It's a no brainer!
My son has attended Inglewood since he was 1 and he’s now 2.5. He has settled so well and the transitions between rooms have been handled excellently. The staff are very knowledgeable and understand and know how to handle every situation. My son always comes out smiling and the activities we are informed he’s done are inventive and unique and fit my son's likes. The feedback is fantastic and I really feel I can trust the people who are caring for my son and know he’s been challenged and nurtured in the best way! Thank you, Inglewood! 5 stars!
My daughter recently started at the nursery, and the staff have gone above and beyond to make her feel happy and secure. Every time I receive an update at the end of her session, you can tell the staff have really got to know her in a very short space of time. The communication from her key person has been outstanding.
My son loves coming to Inglewood. Every morning he happily waves me away as he settles into his cuddle with one of the team. The staff are friendly, professional and efficient and I have every confidence in the team there.
We are really happy with the nursery and our daughter settled in very quickly. The staff in Holly 2 are friendly, professional and happy to discuss the daily activities and answer any concerns which we may have.
My daughter joined the nursery in April last year and settled in well. I can't thank the staff enough, very caring and understanding. The outside space is good and really pleased have chosen this nursery for my child.
I’m more than happy with Inglewood for my little girl. The staff, activities and facilities are all great. My little boy also attended Inglewood until he started school last September. He really enjoyed his time there and left the preschool room well prepared for school. He particularly enjoyed the swimming lessons, sports days, reading with the teacher, and the great outdoor facilities.
Both my children have enjoyed this setting and the staff have been fantastic in supporting their journey.
There are not many nurseries that can offer both forest school activities with their own grounds and swimming lessons in their own pool.
If there are ever any issues, the nursery will always inform us straight away. We know that he is in safe hands at Inglewood House.
The only thing to add is that it is a shame that the day fee isn't from 7:30am-6:30pm (like some nurseries) as sometimes it can be tricky juggling early/late meetings at work. However, you can put them in earlier and pick up later but there is an additional charge.

Meet the Team (3)

Hello, I'm Laura the Nursery Manager and I've been working in childcare since 2008. I started as an apprentice, completing my Levels 2 and 3 and then worked my way up to a manager’s position. During this time, I completed my BA (Hons) in Children’s Development and Learning.
I'm passionate about creating environments that enable children to learn and develop in their own unique ways and watching the challenge themselves to build the foundations for life.
Outside of nursery life, I like to spend time with family and friends. I also have a 1-year-old daughter who I enjoy watching grow and develop.

Hello, my name is Jenna Carter, and I am excited to be part of the Inglewood family alongside Sam in a joint deputy position.
I have worked for Bright Horizons for 12 years and have been in various roles starting with the children in the rooms and progressing into management, which has given me good-quality knowledge and endless opportunities to develop further. I have an NVQ Level 3 and a diploma in business, working in one single Bright Horizons nursery for 11 years. I then had the opportunity to manage another Bright Horizons nursery where I have been for just over a year, I am now relishing the opportunity to join a team closer to home and bring new ideas to the setting to support in continuing to raise the standards at Inglewood.
I am passionate about children and building their confidence, and individual characters and becoming independent young people, bringing different opinions and ideas through play.
I believe that the team is the foundation of a successful nursery, having a positive and open partnership between families and the nursery is crucial for communication regarding the children and having their best interests at heart.

Hello my name is Sam and I have worked for Bright Horizons at Inglewood Nursery for 4 years. I have worked in Early Years for 18 years and in that time gained my BA HONS degree in Early Years Learning and Development and my Early Years Practitioner Status. During my time in the sector I have worked in a variety of settings from independent nurseries to term time preschools. I also spent a year in Ireland as an au pair and also ran a village preschool catering for children aged 2 to 4 years.
I am very passionate about the care and development of children particularly through their environments and the skills of the practitioners working with them. I enjoy training and developing a team and enhancing their own knowledge through what I have learnt over the years, and providing support to those staff who what to continue to develop their knowledge through accredited courses.
I am a mother of 2 boys aged 4 and 6 who both attended Inglewood nursery which enables me to see the setting from both a practitioner's view as well as a parental view. Inglewood is based in Sonning very close to the village and we have over the years developed a wonderful relationship with the community. We are continuing to build relationships with local businesses’ and schools and work holistically with local settings also.
As a full time working mum I understand how challenging it can be and aim to not only support the children in our setting but also their families and the challenges that can arise for busy working parents.
In my spare time I enjoy taking my two boys here there and everywhere for various escapades and adventures, which usually involve treasure hunting. We have a family dog who is usually brought along with us and living in Sonning myself we know the area very well for walks and being able to explore the beautiful countryside we have around us. When I’m not with my boys I can usually be found on the sofa with a book.
