AN INSPIRING AND UNIQUE NURSERY IN READING

You and your child will love this home-from-home nursery in Reading, which offers a warm, welcoming environment designed to inspire your child and support their development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

The beautiful Inglewood Day Nursery and Preschool is a redeveloped and enhanced home full of character and bright, airy rooms. There is a redesigned, vibrant sensory room which caters for children of all ages and an expansive one-acre garden, with age-appropriate areas for children to enjoy. There is a separate woodland adventure area for the children to explore, developing their teamwork and problem-solving skills.

The nursery is led by a Nursery Manager who’s had a vast career in Early Education, as well as Primary Education, and holds a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Award (SENDCO qualified). There are highly qualified staff members, including staff trained in Makaton and sign language, offering support to children who have additional needs. With qualified teachers and early years teachers, all with paediatric First Aid certificates, you can be sure your child will receive excellent care and an engaging learning experience from baby to preschool.

Inglewood Nursery is the only nursery in the area with direct access to its own private, heated indoor swimming pool and it has two qualified swimming instructors providing small group swimming lessons. They have access to their own sports coach, offering sports such as tennis, football, rugby and obstacle courses to develop the children's fine and gross motor skills, as well as team skills. We have had 2 children go through this nursery, would certainly use them again if we had a 3rd. We did take our 2nd child out breifly due to some logistical issues with job changes however we realised we wanted to move them back as we believed they would enjoy their time at Inglewood far more than the
nursery we had moved them to. The staff are fantastic, great to the kids and easy to talk to for parents.

Our daughter has been at Inglewood House since she was 8.5 months and she is now nearly 2. The team are outstanding - the love and care that our daughter receives cannot be faulted.
She has flourished under their care - she was slow to walk and they have put some much effort and time in to supporting
her, and they also are so invested in her development and celebrating it.
She has had 3 key people in her time and although it's sad to leave one, the next has always been just as good and built fantastic relationships with her.
Beyond the care, the room, facilities, garden, food is amazing - everything is so carefully considered and provides wonderful space and variety for the children.
Finally - as a first time parent I also feel so well supported. They help guide and give advice, and when I was recently having a wobble about parenting they were so kind. The manager even rang me later that day to check in on me which was so appreciated. We are so happy we found Inglewood House.

We have always thought that the care our children receive at Bright Horizons has been outstanding, but this has really come into light in the last three months. Our son, who is quite shy, lacking confidence at times, went through a period of struggling to enjoy nursery. He found one of his new support
staff louder than he was used to. Having chatted to her about it, she was quite simply amazing. She worked with my son to support him, offer him quite spaces when he needed it and went above and beyond to ensure he loved nursery again. He is thriving, enjoys nursery, is making and talking about his new friends, and now loves that specific support worker. Thank you to all the staff at Bright Horizons - we know our children are happy and thriving under the care of the team there.

My son joined Bright Horizons Inglewood Day Nursery and Preschool before turning 3 and had never heard nor spoken English before. The staff did an amazing job welcoming him and making him feel comfortable and barely a month later, he was starting to talk in English. He is now 4 and has grown into a
confident little boy, made plenty of friends and is fully ready for his next step of the journey. A huge thanks to the team, we will always be grateful to you!

Both my children have been through the nursery, the outdoor space is amazing at Inglewood, and the children seem to always have lots of exposure to messy play too! I also really appreciate the majority of the toys are wooden vs plastic!

My eldest went to Inglewood and now my youngest goes too. The nursery has provided safe and trusted care for them as young babies while we both have worked full-time. They’ve both built bonds with certain staff members which is lovely to see. As they’ve grown they’ve got a lot out of the large outdoor
space - especially as two active boys!

We are generally pleased with our daughter's nursery, appreciating it's quiet location on the village edge, the ease of drop-off due to ample parking and the spacious building with extensive outdoor play areas. The food variety is also commendable. However, we've noticed a high staff turnover, which
is concerning as it impacts the children's ability to form stable attachments. Additionally, while the nursery's use of apps for sharing updates and pictures is a positive aspect, the inconsistency in communication frequency and quality could be improved. Enhancing staff retention and streamlining communication would significantly benefit both children and parents, making a good nursery experience even better.

We moved our daughter to Inglewood from another nursery and haven't regretted our decision for a second. All of the staff are brilliant, our daughter loves attending the nursery and has a great time every day she attends. Our daughter has a number of allergies, and Inglewood have been brilliant at supporting
us in managing these. The only thing I would say is that some of the resources at the nursery are becoming rather dated and could do with upgrading, they obviously need some additional funding.

Good nursery with very friendly and helpful team. Good food and great garden out the back for the children to play in. Preschool team are really helping to prepare for school. The app is very useful for communicating with the team and seeing what our daughter is up to.

Our kid has been great at the nursery although she suffers from the constant change in personnel in the room. Food wise the scheme is quite completed. As far as learning is concerned and in comparison with other families we speak to it seems they learn other things and are a step ahead in numbers and
letters. As a family that does not bring our daughter the full week, more flexibility on the actual days in, provided there is enough advance notice, would be appreciated.

The nursery goes above and beyond our expectations. We are really pleased with the choice we made when we decided 2 years ago to enrol our child into this nursery. I fully advise all parents to not pick a nursery based only on distance to home but also facilities. This will help the child to adapt faster.

Both of my daughters have settled nicely into Inglewood. The staff have been considerate of their needs and always do what they can to assist in any way. The team are super friendly and the nursery has a family feel to it. We are very happy with our experience!

We have had a very good experience with Inglewood. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My son has joined them since he was one and I have seen considerable improvement in his confidence and fine and gross motor skills. They have even given us tips to help him at home which have been super useful.
Great place to send your kids. My son loves it so much here he doesn’t want to come home now.

We are very satisfied with the nursery. Staff is always nice and cheerful. Children get good attention and can develop well here. Big advantage is big garden where children spend lots of time. Lots of different daily activities

I have worked for Bright Horizons for 12 years and have been in various roles starting with the children in the rooms and progressing into management, which has given me good-quality knowledge and endless opportunities to develop further. I have an NVQ Level 3 and a diploma in business, working in one single Bright Horizons nursery for 11 years. I have worked in Early Years for 18 years and in that time gained my BA HONS degree in Early Years Learning and Development and my Early Years Practitioner Status. During my time in the sector I have worked in a variety of settings from independent nurseries to term time preschools. I also spent a year in Ireland as an au pair and also ran a village preschool catering for children aged 2 to 4 years.

I am very passionate about the care and development of children particularly through their environments and the skills of the practitioners working with them. I enjoy training and developing a team and enhancing their own knowledge through what I have learnt over the years, and providing support to those staff who what to continue to develop their knowledge through accredited courses.

I am a mother of 2 boys aged 4 and 6 who both attended Inglewood nursery which enables me to see the setting from both a practitioner's view as well as a parental view. Inglewood is based in Sonning very close to the village and we have over the years developed a wonderful relationship with the community. We are continuing to build relationships with local businesses’ and schools and work holistically with local settings also.

As a full time working mum I understand how challenging it can be and aim to not only support the children in our setting but also their families and the challenges that can arise for busy working parents.

In my spare time I enjoy taking my two boys here there and everywhere for various escapades and adventures, which usually involve treasure hunting. We have a family dog who is usually brought along with us and living in Sonning myself we know the area very well for walks and being able to explore the beautiful countryside we have around us.
