Cedar Park is situated within 2.5 acres of rural, picturesque grounds. Providing daily access to all age groups, the fantastic outdoor space helps to support emotional and physical development.

They have a Childbase specialised woodland play area which brings the classroom outside into the natural world with sessions led by a qualified forest school leader.

A vegetable patch allows children to grow, harvest and taste their own produce which is served by a dedicated nursery chef.

The nursery teaches children to care about the world they live in and are proud to have gained an Eco-Schools green flag award

Cedar Park offer the extracurricular activity of Usports every other Wednesday for their Bumblebee and Butterflies room, and on a Friday for the Preschool room.

They offer a convenient service to parents, opening 7.30-6.30 Monday to Friday and a fully-inclusive package.

My daughter went to Cedar Park from age of 1 to 4 when starting school.
She gives into a happy, good heart, confident girl and all the grounds by the time she left pre-school. 5 months into school now and she is reading very well and I know Cedar Park gave her a fantastic base.

An excellent service, staff keep us informed of developments with our child and the nursery. All the staff in Caterpilla are extremely polite and friendly.
The keyworker is great and my daughter is always excited to see her.

The staff in Ladybirds are very good. Our keyworker has a great bond with my daughter. Every morning he is so welcoming. I feel he looks after her and cares for her like his own. She is always very happy when I pick her up. I am extremely happy at Cedar Park.

My son has really settled into preschool and is really developing well there. His keyworker's support with potty training has been invaluable and his patience incredible at times!


The staff are all welcoming and provide constructive feedback and ideas. This month he has particularly enjoyed Forest

The recent "positive parenting" workshop ar CedarPark was a really useful, informal session packed with helpful advice and ideas. It was also a great opportunity to learn about the resources and strategies used within the nursery to promote positive behaviour. I also enjoyed the rare chance to spend
time with other parents and hear about their challenges. There was a lovely encouraging atmosphere and it was lead very sensitively and yet confidentially. Thank you - I'm looking forward to the next one.

My son has attended Cedar Park for 3 years and has enjoyed every day there. Recently, Forest school has launched and he's loved it. It's helped him with his confidence to tackle challenges, team working and problem-solving.


The teachers are fantastic, letting the children work out problems for themselves,

teaching them how to use new tools, build fires and climb obstacles - the last day they made a campfire and toasted marshmallows, very popular with my son!


Forest school has fully engaged my son and he is using the skills learnt in everyday life. It's a great addition to the normal curriculum as it teaches them about the outdoors and different skills to those that you learn in a classroom environment.
The Forest school facilities are fantastic, well contained, safe and yet big enough to let the children explore and be adventurous.
The addition of Forest school to the Cedar Park curriculum makes this an even better place for my son to learn and grow, it's just a shame it's only a 10-week programme.

Our daughter has been attending Cedar Park for nearly eighteen months now. It has always been a terrific experience for her, with a multitude of exciting areas to explore and a real focus on nurturing and developing her particular interests whilst still encouraging her to try new things and break her
barriers. Recently 'Forest School' learning was launched and in the few weeks she has been attending the sessions, her confidence in her abilities, as well as her confidence in working with and around others, has started to blossom - Cedar Park has outdoor facilities second to none, but now actually bringing the learning from the inside to the outside in a natural environment, takes it up yet another notch.

Our little boy started in Cedar Park Day Nursery (Twyford) a few months ago now and I can honestly say that it was the best decision we could have made for him. He has settled in so well all thanks to the amazing, friendly and welcoming team. He has thrived here and loves his time at nursery so much
so he asks to go to nursery every day including the weekend!!! This has made my transition back to full-time work so much easier. The outdoor facilities are fantastic with so much space for the little ones to run around and so many interesting things to explore, there is such a great opportunity for them to develop due to the structure the nursery have set around singing, reading and exploring. Cedar Park team have done such a good job with keeping parents up to date by providing a weekly newsletter and regular updates on Parentzone.
I could not recommend this nursery enough and the team in 'Bumblebees' room are just incredible, a hard nursery to top in my opinion.

I have had 2 children at Cedar Park for the last year since we moved to the area and we have been absolutely thrilled to find such a great place for them to spend their days while we are working. They attend 3 days a week and thoroughly look forward to their time there. Both children have grown in
confidence and independence and made many new friends at Cedar Park. They've also enjoyed such a variety of experiences and I can't not mention the amazing grounds and gardens. The atmosphere is always friendly, positive and warm and parents feel like part of the family as well as the children. The children are treated with respect and enjoy a great balance of structured time as well as free time to play and explore. The nursery strives to improve what they do, most recently with the forest school but also with events (sports days, summer fair, camp outs). The weekly newsletter is a great way to know what is going on each week. I couldn't recommend Cedar Park more.

Excellent nursery, my son has been here for 4 years. He has loved every minute and made some great friends.

I have two children at Cedar Park and both are very happy. The nursery staff are excellent with the children and always ensure they are entertained, taught weekly values and generally nurtured. I would happily recommend Cedar Park for children of all ages.

Starting our 6-month-old little boy in nursery was a tough decision, but the whole team have made it a really easy and stress-free process. The staff in the room go above and beyond to cater to our son's needs on a daily basis, adapting routines and activities for his benefit. I would highly recommend
this nursery to anyone who wishes for a second family to take care of their children when we can't.

My daughter is currently in the caterpillar room. Being able to go to work and feel that your child is in the best possible hands is priceless. My daughter's key carer and all the staff in the room are so warm and professional. As soon as we arrive at the nursery my daughter smiles and is always happy
at the end of the day.

We moved from Norway to Twyford at the beginning of this year. As my son was used to attending a Norwegian kindergarten where the children play outside for at least 4 hours a day no matter the weather, I was so pleased to find Cedar Park with its excellent outside facilities and its focus on forest
school and outside learning. The classrooms are large, full of interesting activities and play areas and the children can play outside anytime they like. We always get a good debrief of what our son has been up to at the end of each day along with his nap time and how well he has eaten. The food is wholesome and nutritious with lots of variation. I would highly recommend the nursery.

My son loves attending Cedar Park Nursery, both my husband and I are very happy with his progression while he has been attending.
He really likes spending time with his keyworker and all the other staff within his room.
We chose CP because of the great outdoor spaces and decked areas with sand pits
etc, and he has really enjoyed playing outside over the summer months.

The outside space is second to none and they make great use of it - from Olympic-themed sports events to bug hunts to growing beans.


They are excellent at keeping in touch and ensuring that we are sharing information on my child's development. Things like parent first aid training and socials are

lovely touches too and give a genuine family feel, it doesn't feel like part of a big chain.


My work hours can vary and the management team are wonderful about trying to accommodate extra days when they can. At times the early drop-off or late pick-up compared to other nurseries has totally saved the day.


The thing that makes me recommend them so highly, more than any of the practicalities above, is the genuine care, enthusiasm, and support shown by every member of the team. My daughter thinks they are all wonderful. They take real pride in her development, and always find time to talk about anything that we need to discuss. Worth every penny.

Rachael is the Manager of Cedar Park Day Nursery and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector for 18 years. Rachael has numerous qualifications, including a BA (Hons) in Children's Learning and Development and a Level 3 Forest School Leader.


What is your favourite feature of your nursery?
The amazing outdoor space, including our Forest School where the children can take part in exciting activities such as campfire building and den making.
