The Co-operative Childcare Nursery in Reading is excellent. My daughter has been there for just over two years since I went back to work after maternity leave. All the staff are lovely and friendly and my daughter has bonded with many of them. She has also made a number of friends within her peer group and is benefiting hugely from social interactions with many different children and adults. She is also being gently introduced to other skills from numeracy and literacy to imaginative play and group work which will set her up well for starting school. All in all, we're extremely pleased with the nursery.
The Staff were extremely friendly and made the difficult transition into daycare as easy as possible for me and my son. My son bonded with his Key Person very quickly, and I felt that she really took the time to get to know and understand him. He settled in much faster than I had expected and (although there are always a few tears at drop off time) he thoroughly enjoys his nursery days and comes home happy and relaxed. I am really grateful to all the staff for their support and care and am very sad to be leaving.
I am very happy with the Reading Childcare Nursery. The staff are always smiley and approachable, are happy to give lengthy feedback on my child's day, they do their best to accommodate any extra sessions I may need, and meet my requests and my son's needs. My son has always been happy to get there in the morning, and seem to get along with all staff. I have yet to hear of a bad day! Thumbs up all the way!
I would always and already have recommended the nursery, my son has come on leaps and bounds since he started and he loves it. Staff are always polite and friendly and will greet you in and out of the nursery.
I moved to the UK and was looking for daycare for my child who was 3 years old. I am extremely satisfied that I chose Co-operative Childcare. It helped my child to improve her English as it is not our first language. It is highly recommended.
Management staff are very good and the caregivers are very caring and experienced.
The nursery listens to parent's problems and acts promptly. In fact, I have recommended the nursery to one of my colleagues and she is looking for a place. I do not have any concerns but a few recommendations.
- Lighting could be better. There is a refurbishment going on, hopefully, things will be better soon.
- Food and variety could be better.
- Cleanliness could be enhanced.
I would recommend improvising learning techniques to kids under pre-school age, this would prepare them and make them more competent for the future.
Very happy with the Reading Co-operative Nursery and would highly recommend it. My son has been there for over 2 years and his learning and development has been incredible. He is well looked after and the staff who work there are fabulous.
This is a lovely nursery with a family feel. Staff are kind and friendly. They work hard to get to know each child and follow children's interests. They recently had a space topic and my son was playing rockets at home and counting down and blasting off. The staff always have fun activities on offer to stimulate the children. There is lots of messy play and recently they had a fab dinosaur cave. My son has been here for a few years and is always excited to attend. Thanks.
My experience has been fantastic and I would definitely recommend to others.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the nursery.
I can strongly recommend the nursery to my friends.
A second home away home for my daughter. Extremely caring and friendly staff who are always ready to help. My daughters enjoys her time at the nursery and looks forward to going there everyday so what more can I ask for as a parent of a young child. I am satisfied with the nursery and staff than I am sending my second one there soon.
I'm happy that I enrolled my son into Co-op Nursery. Even the management team is very friendly.
Very nice place and my son has learnt a lot and had very good progress.
This is a lovely nursery and our daughter is very happy here. They offer a range of activities and daughter (3 and a half) comes out every day raving about her 'big brilliant day'. Staff are excellent. Many thanks.
Staff are very friendly, my daughter has been in this nursery for so long that it's second home for her. As a working mother is a relief to feel that my child is well looked after, enjoys company of her friends in a protected environment. Also impressed with learning and overall emotional, physical and social development in the process. Thanks again.
We are very happy with the nursery. Our daughter has started to learn many good things and has started to make friends.
Special thanks to the Early Years assistant, and the other girls who take care of her so well. She now talks a lot and looks forward to going to the nursery.
My son started at the nursery in 2012 aged 6 months and is now in preschool, my daughter started at the end of 2014 aged 5 months. The are both extremely happy there. The nursery hours are fantastic, dropping the kids for their breakfast at 7:30 works really well, particularly if you commute from the train station and the 6:30 close gives me a lot of flexibility. My son loves the indoor garden, this is a great resource that allows them to have a run around regardless of the weather, it also makes up for the more limited outdoor space (although they do take them out to the park sometimes). Last week my son was really excited telling me about their trip to Reading library to get books. There will always be times where you want to talk about a concern you have about your child's development or something you want to give feedback on, I find all the staff to be really approachable, they have great ideas (particularly with potty training) and the management are very responsive to feedback or queries both in person and by e-mail.
Our son has been attending the nursery for a year and a half, and we have been consistently impressed with the level of care. He has formed strong bonds with key workers in each room, and they have helped him to become a confident and sociable little boy (and they seem to genuinely care about his well being - on the couple of occasions when he's been off with a bug they've contacted me to see how he is). As well as a wide range of activities on offer and good use of a slightly awkwardly shaped building, the creativity shown in events such as the recent Mini Reading Festival gives a more personal, non-chain feel to the nursery. We have had a quick response from management when we have had questions or concerns, and he definitely seems to enjoy the variety of food! The longer opening hours allow for days when commuting is a challenge; it's ideal for those that commute by train. The nursery were also supportive of our choice to use reusable nappies.
