Your Co-op Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school Reading is right in the heart of Reading city centre, within walking distance of the train station and their nursery is set in a beautiful, charismatic listed church building with four spacious rooms, one for each age group.

Their ParentZone app keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress! They use their 5 Little Pioneers to help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world.

The nursery team are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained. The nursery is also silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

They are big on happy children which is why they have an area for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

The nursery has its own garden area, which is well equipped including a children's playhouse and slide. There is also a wooden shelter to provide shade and cover and to ensure that children can access the outdoors in all weather conditions.

The best nursery in Reading!
My son is attending the preschool group. What a fantastic nursery this is. All staff members are very friendly and caring. I notice how great and supportive they are for my son and other children which creates a wonderful atmosphere for them develop and grow. They make
learning fun and interesting that my son loves going there. I can't thank the staff enough for being part of the development of my son.

The Co-operative Childcare Reading Nursery has been very accommodating to take in my son when there was an emergency un-planned closure of his previous nursery. Management has been very prompt in ensuring a place and also helped with settle-in sessions. Generally, the room staff were very caring towards
my son and he quite easily got adjusted. As compared to other nurseries, The Co-operative Childcare Reading Nursery offer more frequent meals and snacks to the kids which is really assuring to the parents. I really liked the usage of Parent Zone app for reporting the kid's progress and other details to the parents. It's always good to login to the app to see your kids pics while they are doing the activities in the nursery.

Our daughter is so happy at this nursery. The staff are really caring and the activities they organise are always fun and varied. The food is very nutritious and the children are given regular meals and snacks throughout the day. There is a lovely garden where the children can play all year round. I

This has been a fabulous nursery for my 2 children and a nurturing, stimulating environment. There is always something interesting going on when I drop off or pick up! Very pleased with the work of this preschool. On my first visit there, my daughter and I received a warm welcome from the preschool room manager, the nursery manager who was easy going and flexible and answered my concerns in an understanding way. The different rooms/spaces were shown with an explanation
of some activities and projects. Always updated about our daughter's day with transparent communication. The location is perfect to commute to London, just a few minutes to the train station. Positive feedback from our daughter. She is excited to go to preschool and settled well in the nursery and we cannot thank the preschool leader and assistants/teachers enough for their efforts and dedication. We can be at work and be sure that she is well and safe. I looked after my daughter full time until she started nursery and we are very attentive to our child's development and we can tell she has been learning new things each day.

I first walked into The Co-operative Childcare Reading Nursery 5 months pregnant and instantly knew this was the nursery for my unborn son.
My little boy has been a full time student since August and he absolutely loves it! I also love the team I couldn’t wish for better people to care for my son
whilst I have to be at work.
Settling him into nursery life was tough but the team persevered and made him comfortable in no time at all.
It’s a truly lovely nursery with a happy friendly atmosphere and has helped advance my son beyond his age. Thank you!

Our daughter has been at the nursery full time since 2015, aged one, and we cannot fault the nursery in any way. The staff are all excellent; they really care and take the time to form real bonds with the children. Our daughter has developed into an independent, confident, caring, outgoing, worldly-wise
child and this is in no small part due to the stimulating environment and individual care the nursery staff provide. S looks forward to every new day at nursery (and often doesn't want to leave, even after an eleven hour day!); she knows all the staff well and has made some close friends amongst her peers. We would have no hesitation in recommending the nursery to anyone.

Both my boys are attending the nursery. I originally picked the nursery for its location as well as a good feeling when I came to visit and I have to say, I am not disappointed. The opening hours are very helpful and the staff always very pleasant. The building feels safe, clean and well looked after.
The new garden outside is great and their indoor garden is fab for rainy days. Both my boys really enjoy themselves and despite a few tears every now at drop off and I know they are very happy there. The girls and boy are doing a fab job to look after them, educating them with various activities throughout the day and the structure of each day will help them once they start school I'm sure. So, thank you, reading nursery!

I'm very pleased with the care my child receives from the setting. My child has a good bond with his key worker and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. My child always seems very happy when I collect him. My partner enjoys reading his daily diary that comes home after every session. I enjoy
seeing the different activities he gets up to on the nursery facebook page. The hours the nursery is open perfectly suit my working hours as does the location. We would highly recommend the nursery to our friends and family.

I have always been very happy with the care my son receives at the Co-op. The team of girls are all very friendly, efficient, warm and also firm when needed - It's a great place for my son to go (he only attends once a week) but it gives him lots of skills. We are very happy with the care and attention our little one gets at The Co-operative Nursery. He is very happy to come to the nursery every day and is as happy as can be when we pick him up, which is the most important thing for us.
The nursery provides a lot of learning opportunities and teaches
him more than just skills, i.e. behaviour and people skills as well.
The nursery is being refurbished and they are managing the process really very well. There was no disturbance at all.
Overall really very happy and I have already recommended to a number of people.

The Co-operative Childcare Nursery in Reading is excellent. My daughter has been there for just over two years since I went back to work after maternity leave. All the staff are lovely and friendly and my daughter has bonded with many of them. She has also made a number of friends within her peer group
and is benefiting hugely from social interactions with many different children and adults. She is also being gently introduced to other skills from numeracy and literacy to imaginative play and group work which will set her up well for starting school. All in all, we're extremely pleased with the nursery.

The Staff were extremely friendly and made the difficult transition into daycare as easy as possible for me and my son. My son bonded with his Key Person very quickly, and I felt that she really took the time to get to know and understand him. He settled in much faster than I had expected and (although
there are always a few tears at drop off time) he thoroughly enjoys his nursery days and comes home happy and relaxed. I am really grateful to all the staff for their support and care and am very sad to be leaving.

I am very happy with the Reading Childcare Nursery. The staff are always smiley and approachable, are happy to give lengthy feedback on my child's day, they do their best to accommodate any extra sessions I may need, and meet my requests and my son's needs. My son has always been happy to get there
in the morning, and seem to get along with all staff. I have yet to hear of a bad day! Thumbs up all the way!
