About this price
How funding is applied, how the monthly figure is calculated.More info
- Working parents of children aged 9 months to 2 years can usually claim up to 30 funded hours a week. The working-parent hours depend on each parent meeting the minimum earnings rules and earning under £100,000 a year. This nursery stretches funded hours across 52 weeks of the year. You've selected 30 funded hours.
- This nursery applies up to 10 funded hours per day, stretched across 52 weeks of the year. With your selected funding, 21.9 hours are covered each week. Hours beyond this, including the early and late parts of the day, are charged at the standard rate.
- We work out the total cost across the year and divide by 12, so the figure shown is a smoothed monthly average. In practice, nurseries bill in different ways. Some bill monthly at this average. Others bill weekly, or charge for what happened that week or month, which can vary across the year. Confirm billing details with the nursery when you enquire.

My wife and I are extremely happy and satisfied with the service of the Cooperative Nursery staff. They have always gone over and beyond to make my child comfortable for the period he has been there, He wasn't the easiest child to have settle in and actually took quite a while. However, with the persistence of the staff, he very much enjoys his days in pre-school. We highly recommend The Co-operative Childcare.

I love to see my youngest excited to go to nursery and come home telling me of the adventures he has been on and the friends he has played with. My child’s confidence has grown and I know he will be ready to make that next step into school. I particularly love the partnership the pre-school room have made with a local care home, making visits to spend time with the residents and creating a different learning environment. I 100% recommend the Co-op Nursery Reading to any parent looking for a Day nursery, you won’t be disappointed.

Ever since the first meeting I have been impressed by the enthusiasm, dedication and patience of the staff. My daughter loves all the activities and has thrived with the care and attention she's been given. We get plenty of feedback on how she is getting on and find everyone very approachable if we want to ask any questions. From August, my younger daughter will also attend the nursery as I wouldn't want to send her anywhere else.

We're really happy with the care our daughter receives and she always looks forward to going to nursery. The staff are friendly and professional too.

My two boys have been there since they were 7 months old and 10 months old (now 3 and 5). They've absolutely loved it there, and I've always been really impressed by the staff and all their various activities. The pre-school environment is particularly good and really prepares them for school. It has really long opening hours and is close to the station so absolutely perfect for commuters.
My son has been in nursery for just over 2 years and is in his third room at Co-op Nursery, Reading. All staff have been amazing throughout; friendly and personable. It's good to know he is having fun and is happy but also, that great care is taken to ensure their development is on target. The...
It's always lovely to see the colourful display boards (which are regularly updated) showing the good range of activities the children experience. I think it is particularly wonderful how the nursery partners with a care home, which I understand has benefits for both adults and children. I love the fact that this kind of caring is demonstrated to children from such a young age. The eco-project also offers the children values which will help guide them to do the right thing.
Most of the staff have remained the same which is always a good sign and gives the impression of a huge family environment.
Thank you!
My son has been at the nursery for 10 months now and just loves it. All of the team members are fantastic and help him transition through developmental stages, moving up to a new room and generally learning lots of new skills. Everyone has a lovely energy and the children are treated with love and...

My daughter joined the nursery when she was 2 years old. Although chatty at home, she would be quiet and a bit uncomfortable in anybody's company other than parents. I have seen a drastic change in her nature. She is very comfortable with everyone now, loves going to the nursery, and has become more expressive and unreserved now...All thanks to the nursery. I am very happy with her development and learning. Truly a haven for kids while we parents are at work.

It’s a home from home, the staff are very nurturing and she always has a lot of fun. Every member of the nursery team are caring and you rarely see children upset, very happy faces. The food is cooked on site and seems to go down well. So much fun was had recently when the weather was hot, staff put on a beach day with inflatables and water which looked like so much fun. I would highly recommend this nursery for any child from baby to toddler.
Our daughter was very happy in the nursery. They are taking good care of children and providing them with enough activities depending on the child's interests. It was a pleasure being part of such a community.

I have two children at the Co-operative Childcare Reading Nursery and my eldest is just about to finish pre-school. The nursery and pre-school is excellent. The staff are caring, knowledgeable and very child focused. They take the children out on visits to various parks in Reading, on the bus to feed the ducks or the farm. One of my favourite activities they do is the partnership they have with a local nursing home. My daughter loves going to do crafts and singing with the older people. The building is deceptively big inside and although the outside space is smaller than other nurseries, they more than make for it by visiting nearby Forbury Gardens on a regular basis. Being so close to the station they are well used to commuting parents and the long opening hours (07:30 - 18:30) are great. They have a varied and balanced menu which they cook on site. They have managed my child's allergy extremely well, ensuring that she doesn't miss out. Both of my children are flourishing here and love going.

The staff are kind, helpful and caring, the meals are prepared on site and the nursery is well equipped with good security and great facilities. If anything, the quality of the nursery has only improved since our daughter has attended here, and I am delighted that our second daughter is able to follow in her sister's footsteps here.

My daughter is learning and developing so quickly with the kind of activities they do at the nursery. Love everything about The Co-operative Childcare, would definitely recommend.
We are really pleased with the care provided by the Co-op Nursery for both of our children over the last six years. The main factor is that the staff seem to genuinely care about the children. There is a good level of information provided about activities and progress during the day.

Each key person takes out the time to update me on the day to day development and doings of my kids. Every child is unique and the appropriate care is put in place to cater for such need.
I would not say it's cheap or expensive but I would say when you pay your fees, you see the value for money and more.
The team in Reading are great and they make the kids feel very welcome when they come into the nursery with the kids not minding the fact that their parents are dropping them off (babies) to go to work.
I will highly recommend the nursery to family and friends because l have experienced all stages of the nursery from the baby room to the pre-school room and l have not been disappointed.

My daughter is almost getting to her third birthday and I have been very worried about potty training. My daughter's key worker has so far done a great job getting her to want to use the potty more and that is without much effort from me. I am very pleased with the progress my daughter is making especially with her speech and communication and as a parent, it is great to know that she is in a nursery which helps to develop the children in those areas of concern.
My daughter is very happy there and there is nothing better than that to put your mind at ease when you leave them to go off to work. I am very satisfied with the general level of communication between the nursery and parents and also when issues specifically relate to my child. I have never had any reason to be unhappy with the care my child is being given.
