Lavenders Day Nursery (Bedford)

This is a genuinely fantastic nursery. I moved my son from a previous nursery to be enrolled because he found it quite difficult at the previous nursery. He immediately took to this nursery and I put it down to the genuine care of the whole staff at the nursery. There was no crying or tantrums on dropping him off in the mornings which I thought I would have a problem with. I felt he was very safe with them. We have been supported with the speech difficulty he encountered and we are very pleased.

Lavenders opened their doors for 2 hours on a Saturday, all families were invited and it was a fantastic day. They put on games, food and entertainment. The children loved it and it was a lovely way to spend time with other Mums and Dads. Carry on what you are doing guys, it is a great job and I cannot rate you highly enough, the foundations you have laid for my son have been amazing.

Very well-run nursery with an extremely dedicated, professional and friendly team. My son will be leaving soon to start school and we feel that he has benefited greatly from the foundation laid down by the Lavenders team.

I just wanted to say how pleased I am with daughters new key worker.

The observations she makes are detailed and genuinely describe her. They are not generic and I have noticed she has picked up on some behaviours my daughter does at home, which is comforting to know for two reasons;

2. her key worker is aware and alert to her personality/behaviours

At collection, the key worker also gave me a lovely handover which accompanied by her observations are really lovely to have. I get a real sense of my daughter’s day or significant moments in it.

I would recommend this nursery to other parents.

Lavenders have looked after our son since he was 10 months old. They have always offered a very high level of care in all rooms he has attended. The transition between rooms has been very easy and we have always been given good support over potty training and other milestones. They offer a wide variety of activities each day and their facilities are excellent.

Would happily recommend Lavenders to any parent in the Bedford area.

They have a planned series of varied activities every week including group songs and messy play (things I certainly couldn't replicate at home to the same standard) and a dizzying array of toys to keep them interested.

Mealtimes are very civilised with the kids all sitting down at a table, and the nutritional contents of their meals are made available to parents.

On that note, the nursery is also very proactive in warning parents of any germs going around.

There is a good standard of security for checking who is entering and leaving the buildings and my wife and I feel completely safe leaving our child in Lavenders care.

Our son has been at Lavenders for almost 2 years now and is very happy there. The manager and her team provide fantastic care and we know he is in safe hands. He has developed so well and the staff are always helpful and honest when discussing any issues (he can be a boundary-pusher at times). He is always happy to tell us what he has been doing that day with a big smile on his face. The staff manage to look after a group of children whilst also meeting their individual development needs. There are lots of fun and educational activities to keep the children occupied, in a lovely building and garden. Our oldest son was also at Lavenders right up until starting school in 2014 and loved his time there. I would happily recommend the nursery to anyone.

We are delighted with our choice of nursery for our 2nd child. Our son took a while to settle but has formed lovely bonds with the staff and other children. We have no concerns regarding his care. I appreciate being updated in the weekly email memo which outlines the focus and activities for the week ahead. I also love 'parent zone' to view images of our son and see what he has been up to.

My little boy is 2 years old. He has been attending Lavenders since January 2017. He has changed so much in a positive way. He interacts so well with other adults and children since attending here. Every well he comes home with a new word or even a sentence. I feel so comfortable leaving him with the staff here and receive excellent feedback whenever I come to pick him up.

My daughter is so happy at Lavenders, she loves coming and is happy here. She is clearly at ease with the staff who look after her.

The care, food, activities and overall atmosphere at Lavenders are excellent.

The variety of environment activities provided ensure the children are never bored. The staff are professional, nurturing and proactive.

Fantastic nursery. I am so glad that I chose Lavenders for my girls. All staff are amazing and both my girls settled in well. I feel that my little girl is confident and has really grown into her personality from being at Lavenders. She walks into the nursery with excitement and is always happy to attend. We love Lavenders! Our boys have had a wonderful experience here and have done so well. The staff are fabulous and so kind.

I regularly collect my grandson from nursery. I am always impressed by the general atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. The children appear to be happy and well looked after.

My girl has been getting ready to move up to the next room and the staff have been great in taking her for visits to make her feel more comfortable. Her confidence has grown so much since her time at Lavenders, and she has so much fun there (and eats and sleeps well!).

We are very pleased with how our son is developing during his time in Lavenders Day Nursery. More importantly, staff and management take safeguarding, security and cleanliness very seriously which is very reassuring as a parent. Moreover, they pay very good attention to every child's individual needs and are very accommodating. My son is very happy here and I would recommend Lavenders Day Nursery definitely.

I have 2 children at nursery both of whom started at 6 months and I couldn't want for a better start for them. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff are kind, caring and enthusiastic. Both my children are always excited to start their days at nursery. I know they are safe and having lots of fun. Their time at Lavenders Day Nursery is filled with so many different activities, outdoor play, messy play, role play, trips to the local bookshop, the list could go on. Myself and my husband could not be happier with our choice of nursery for our children and I shall be very sad when their time at Lavenders Day Nursery comes to an end. Thank you.

The buildings and facilities are also of a very high standard.

Our little daughter seems very happy here and learning new things every day.
