Lavenders Day Nursery (Bedford)

My boy started at Lavenders in August 2021 he was just over a year old. From day one we have both been made to feel so welcome. The staff have been so helpful and caring to my son's needs. He absolutely loves going to nursery he goes in and comes out with a big smile every day. This is because of the caring staff that provides a safe space. He has developed in all areas since going to nursery and continues to every day. The admin team are always easy to get hold of and answer any questions which make life easier. Thank you to all at Lavenders, I would 100% recommend it.

My son started Lavenders when he was just seven months old and he is now three. When I went to look around (at this point I was expecting my son) I just knew that this nursery was the best place for him. The staff were just so amazing and so dedicated to the children and the various rooms for the different age groups were wonderful. One thing I noticed which also really set my mind at ease was how happy all of the children were. Honestly without question Lavenders is the best nursery and the most amazing experience for your little ones. I will be so sad once my son leaves for school in a few months time! The staff and manager are all so understanding and caring and are highly professional. Everything is provided from baby formula to nappies and highly nutritious meals, and the children get simply the best care. Couldn't recommend this wonderful place enough to anyone.

The clear communication and culture the manager has built at Lavenders has made it an absolutely dream to send out little one to. We are always sure that he is in good hands and well looked after during his time there.

The management has always been supportive and approachable and will do what they can to be flexible. I have no doubt that this is the best childcare in Bedford. It is clean, warm and the food is good. Plus the communication of my daughter through the day is excellent.

Lavenders have provided a safe and happy place for my son. I was worried how he would settle after lockdown having limited opportunities to socialise with other children. The staff really supported him with developing social skills and confidence which is lovely to see. He has a close bond with his key worker who completely understands him and is able to support him fully. He has learnt so much holistically and has made great progress in his development. Thank you to all the staff for all you do every day for the children.

My little boy has attended Lavenders Day Nursery (Bedford) since he was 4.5 months old. He adores the nursery and the staff team in the Caterpillar room have been amazing with him from day one. Leaving your child at such a young age was quite daunting but I never doubted he was in safe hands. He is always eager to go in every day and clearly has lots of fun. The updates we receive are great and really help you to see what they are doing at nursery.

We have had at least one child at Lavenders for the past 7 years, with my son starting at 9 months (now at school) and my daughter also joining as a baby and currently in preschool there. We feel so fortunate to have found Lavenders for our children, they have enjoyed their time there immensely. Finding the right childcare is one of the most important and agonising decisions a parent will have to make, but we can honestly say that since our children have been at Lavenders we have never had to worry about that ever again, we always have full confidence they are happy and not once had any concerns. We don't have family near us and having the support of Lavenders and knowing their flexibility and willingness to assist should we ever need extra sessions has been invaluable. My daughter quite literally runs there each morning and barely turns to say goodbye! We will miss all the team hugely when our daughter starts school in September. We can't recommend Lavenders highly enough.

We have been with Lavenders Nursery since my eldest child was 9 months old (March 2015) and we are now approaching the time when my youngest will be leaving and it fills me with sadness; Lavenders has been more than ‘just a nursery’ to us, the love and care they have shown our children went beyond all expectations. They have supported and guided us through ‘terrible 2's’, potty training, help with sleep and preparing our son for the birth of his sister. Our children were/are ready for the next stages in their learning thanks to all the wonderful and creative activities that Lavenders has provided throughout. Over the pandemic, in particular, their systems have been fantastic and they have put the well-being of children at the heart of all their ‘covid measures’. I can never thank them enough for how well they have looked after our children and I will miss all the staff as we move onto the next stages.

Lavenders has been a wonderful place for all four of my children over the last five years. My youngest two currently attend, and they love it. They are happy going in and happy coming out, they have made friends, and they are cared for wonderfully by all the staff. 2020 and 2021, so far, has been an unprecedented time but Lavenders has been one of the only things we could rely on and let our younger children enjoy without any concerns. We are very grateful for everyone at Lavenders, it will be a sad day when my youngest leaves but thankfully that’s a few years away!

Both of our children attend Lavenders and I cannot fault the nursery in any way. The care they provide is outstanding and each member of staff has gone above and beyond to look after our children in this extremely difficult period. They are always adapting their learning to support their current needs and both of my children have formed close bonds with the staff.

It's the best, and feels like a family!

As others have said, I visited a few nurseries in Bedford and as soon as I stepped into Lavenders I knew it was the one. My two older children (now 17 and 14) attended Lavenders and when looking for a nursery for my youngest, who has now been there for just under three years, I was absolutely delighted to find that the manager was still there, she and her staff are what makes the nursery outstanding. All of the staff that we have dealt with have been so supportive and have great relationships with the kids. We receive regular updates and pictures that through the app, my son loves all of the activities and particularly loves spending time in the garden. I would highly recommend the nursery and will be so sad to say goodbye (again) when my son starts school in September.

Our son has been coming to this nursery since he was ten months and he has had a fantastic development throughout his stay here. Staff here are professional, caring and always keep us up-to-date when needed. They have great facilities, clean, and kids always have fun at Lavenders. The management is fantastic and has always been clear and transparent from the beginning. A fantastic nursery that well deserves the credit it gets.

Lavenders Nursery is such a wonderful place for my son. The staff are very kind and friendly. I am very confident to leave my son in their hands when I leave for work. They are very flexible and always responds to any queries very quickly. Highly recommended.

Wonderful nursery, my children have benefited so much from their time there. They started not speaking much and within a few months they were talking a lot. I like the family days they organise and always attend. The manager is kind, helpful and empathetic. Highly recommend.

I love the fact that they clearly know the children and how best to push them. The children are learning so many new things as a result of their input. We reinforce at home but the groundwork goes in there, with you. The activities are fresh and varied. The observations are brilliant and truly capture them in the moment. We feel truly settled and everything is perfect.10/10!

In recent months with the COVID-19 lockdown, the nursery has really gone above and beyond in offering lots of support to children at home and keeping up frequent communication with parents about changes and updates. Our daughter's room staff kept in touch by sending messages and responding to photos we sent in which helped keep us in touch. I cannot recommend this nursery enough!

The manager and all the team in Bumblebees room have been amazing at helping the children settle back into the nursery after such a long absence and in such uncertain times. The literature the nursery sent out, the welcome booklets personalised for each child and the approachable nature of her to send questions and queries, meant that I felt reassured that there was so much in place to support the well being, development and safety of my child. In addition to this, the staff in her bubble have been fantastic. They have reassured and comforted whilst still providing exemplary learning opportunities. My daughter loves nursery even more than before, and that is an absolute credit to the staff. From our experience, I would recommend Lavenders without hesitation.
