Woodberry Day Nursery is a substantial property, converted to create an 86 place day nursery of the highest quality.

Much of the character has been retained to provide spacious and interesting rooms with first class childcare facilities. The staff are experienced and well qualified ensuring Woodberry is a happy, sociable environment where every child is treated as an individual. They have also obtained their Green Flag Eco-Schools Award.

Woodberry has been designed with four main playrooms with additional sleeping and play areas. Outside there is a fully enclosed and attractively laid out garden. The environment gives children the opportunity to both learn and play in secure surroundings.

Woodberry also offer the extracurricular activity of Debutots every 2 weeks on a Monday between 10-11am for the Ladybirds and Bumblebees room. As well as this, they offer the Preschool room Kidslingo every 2 weeks on a Friday between 10- 11am, and a tennis coach who attends every 2 weeks on a Thursday afternoon.

Our daughter started in the pre-school room earlier this year when we moved to the area and we are so pleased with how well she has settled. The teachers have gone above and beyond to make her transition smooth and enjoyable. It's also lovely to see and hear about the bond she has with both staff and
other children. We're pleased with the variety of activities the class does and particularly the amount of time and opportunity for outdoor play. It's so nice and reassuring to walk into the classroom at collection time and see our daughter so happy to be there. Would definitely recommend the nursery.

I'm very happy with all the staff at the nursery and in the Bumblebees room - they are all attentive and supportive to my son and he has a fun time with all the activities they put on. Any concerns are dealt with delicately and expertly by management.

We've had a really good experience so far. Our 18-month-old settled in quicker than we expected, and we honestly think the team made a big difference in that. Everyone's been kind, patient and welcoming, which made the whole process so much easier for us as parents. It's been great to see our child

The staff in The Caterpillar Room have been amazing at settling in our daughter. It has been such a positive impact in her development, social skills and personality. She's so happy & settled and it's been a treat watching her interact with the other children & staff.

Woodberry Day Nursery in Winchmore Hill has been a wonderful environment for my son since starting in August 2024. The staff are responsible, loving, and caring, providing a huge sense of comfort knowing he is well looked after. The nursery offers a variety of engaging activities fostering both creativity
and learning. The facility boasts a secure and stimulating environment, allowing children to learn and play safely. The on-site cook provides healthy meals daily, ensuring my son receives the nutrients he needs. The management is approachable and responsive, always willing to discuss my son's progress and any concerns I might have. There are also two Parents Evenings a year and events such as a Christmas fair. Overall, I highly recommend Woodberry Day Nursery to any parent seeking a nurturing and educational setting for their child.

Woodbery is a fantastic nursery and has provided a safe, fun and welcoming environment for both of our children for over three years now. The staff are responsible, loving and caring, and it provides us with a huge sense of comfort to know they are both being looked after so well.

Our son has been at Woodberry Nursery for two months and we are so happy that we chose this nursery. The staff in the Caterpillar room and at reception are so friendly and our son clearly loves them all as he always has a big smile for each and every one of them! We love hearing about the range of activities
he gets up to at nursery, including lots of time in the garden, bubble parties, and creative painting! At pick-up, we have seen him playing independently or reading/playing with one of the staff and he seems very content. The communication from the nursery is great - we receive regular updates throughout the day on the app and a full debrief at pick-up. We have also been very impressed with the food on offer at the nursery - they offer a balanced, varied diet each day. We had been nervous about leaving our son at nursery but seeing how much fun he has and how much he loves the staff has made it a much easier experience. Thank you!

The staff at Woodberry Nursery all really seem to care about my child. They know his name and things about him. They always speak professionally about the children and parents and make us feel welcome and safe. It's emotional sending your child to nursery and thankfully Woodberry have made that far
easier to do. We are very happy with our choice of nursery and thank all the staff.

Overall we're very happy with the nursery. The key workers in the room have made a big effort to bond with our child and make sure he feels settled. We recently had parents' evening where they shared very thoughtful views that demonstrated that they really pay attention to each individual child's needs
and focus on their development. They share weekly newsletters and let us know what topic they're focusing on for the week. My only niggle is that the rooms are quite large in terms of number of children. At 2 they go into a room of up to 24 kids which to me feels a little too big.

Our child has been at Woodberry for almost 4 years and we are thrilled with his education and care. At every step during his years at Woodberry, he was been led by such wonderful key workers. My son absolutely adores the staff and he is excited to go to nursery. Currently, in the pre-school room, we
are pleased that he is challenged daily and thoroughly enjoys his lessons and activities. The workers allow my child to explore new interests and give great feedback. They also foster positivity and kindness/sharing. Even when we have had those dreaded toddler moments, the staff has been caring, patient and understanding. While there have been some hiccups here and there (staff changes and communications in particular), we do not believe that has affected our overall view of the nursery and certainly did not negatively impact our son's care. Those recent changes have been welcomed and received well. Our son has thrived at Woodberry and we highly recommend it.

The Woodberry Day Nursery had been part of our family for five wonderful years!
The staff are incredible and very accommodating. They have helped my kids navigate all sorts of trials and tribulations!
The care and the support they put into each child is amazing.
We are so happy that the Woodberry
was the beginning of our kids' journeys, they certainly have had a head start!
We will miss you all dearly.

This is my second child to have come through Woodberry and we've been really happy with the high level of care, the variety of activities available and healthy, nutritional meals.
The staff manage the right balance of professionalism with personal attention and my daughter loves her time at Woodberry.
My kids have bonded well with a number of staff over the years as they transition from room to room.
We found the preschool room to be great for preparing my eldest for school too.
Marked the activities down as 4/5 not for what they do in the room or garden which is great, but would be good if the kids could get out and visit local parks/gardens a bit more often. Also, 4/5 for value for money as childcare just seems so expensive these days anyway wherever you go!
Overall I would recommend the nursery as a safe and welcoming environment.

I could not recommend Woodberry Nursery in Winchmore Hill highly enough! I have two little girls, very close in age, and I was so nervous about returning back to work and them starting nursery - but the speed and happiness with which they settled was absolutely incredible. They both love going to nursery
and adore their key workers; it's such a relief and a joy knowing that there's such a wonderful team taking care of them when I'm not around - and helping them all the stages of life. They also learn so many new things and surprise and delight us every week! It's a superb setting and a place where the team also care about the wellbeing of the parents and takes time to get to know you.

On the 5th of March (Tuesday), when there was an inset day and the nursery was closed, I had to look after my child myself and as I’m self-employed, I lost a day of work. My daughter only attends nursery two days a week, one of those happened to be an inset day. I would like to claim this day back by
her attending any other day until her leave on the 3rd of April.

As stated in our terms and conditions, fees are payable during our two annual inset days as this vital 'whole team' training keeps our team up to date with the latest early years research and practice methods without conflicting with colleagues' individual after-hours and weekend training sessions. This is to ensure our children are provided with the highest standards of care and education. We give at least six months' notice of these dates to help give families time to plan alternative childcare arrangements, whilst the calendar days are also rotated annually to ensure fairness for customers on part-time nursery schedules. We are sorry for any inconvenience this caused to you and hope your child is enjoying their time at school.

Our experience with our son settling into the caterpillar room has been nothing short of amazing. He is our first born and everybody in the team at Woodberry have helped us tremendously. We are still learning every day as our little boy grows daily and the experience that the team is able to share with
us, especially when he is poorly or a bit cranky is just priceless. We are so pleased that our son is happy and genuinely loves coming to nursery every day, smile on his face and the way that he recognises and greets the staff daily is a pleasure to watch. Special thanks to the two ladies for helping with settling him in and to the other ladies for their help every morning, not forgetting the amazing team leader whom he absolutely adores! We have seen his development progress so much over the last three months.
