Bright Horizons Coulsdon Day Nursery and Preschool is a purpose-built setting located in the heart of Coulsdon Town Centre, offering high-quality childcare and early education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. With both full-time and term-time only sessions available, the nursery provides flexible options to support busy families. Situated just off Chipstead Valley Road, the nursery is easily accessible from Coulsdon Town and Coulsdon South train stations, with on-site parking and a buggy store for convenient drop-offs and pick-ups.

Each room is thoughtfully designed to support children’s development. The baby room features a peaceful sleep space and direct access to a shaded garden. Toddlers and preschoolers enjoy the Daisy room, which includes a dedicated reading room and free-flow access to a large all-weather garden. Children benefit from a wide range of outdoor experiences, including a mud kitchen, water play area, climbing frame, growing garden, and bug hotel. I can't fault this nursery at all. My nephew has enjoyed every minute of his time since he was 16 months old to now being a big boy going to school in September. He is happy, always laughing with his peers and loved every staff member who he had the pleasure of being around. They cared for him so well
and taught him everything he knows and he is sad to be leaving soon. I have to say as well that the nursery gardens look fab :)

My grandaughter has always been happy to come into the nursery. She has enjoyed playing and learning and the children seem to relate well to one another. Staff have always been helpful and caring. I have never had any cause to complain. When I have come into the nursery the environment is well organised

My son attends after school club in the preschool room.
He is extremely happy there and the staff are very welcoming and when I pick him up, he doesn't want to leave.
They have just had a refurbishment done in the gardens which look amazing and my son enjoys playing outside.

My nephew attends this nursery and I pick him up on several occasions where he always comes back excited from having a fun day at the nursery. The other day he told me he was learning about 'mini beasts' in the brand new garden!

Very mixed feelings about our time at the nursery. On the one hand - the staff are lovely, caring and approachable. On the other hand, my child was put in danger by the nursery in not following their own procedures in relation to food service, and my child was accidentally given food she was allergic
to on a number of occasions, which was blamed on individual members of staff at the time, when really it's management who should make sure things are followed through.

I have attended this nursery on a number of occasions to pick up my niece. The staff are always very friendly and the children always look happy and well cared for.
Since my niece started I can really tell she has come along way and has many little friends that she talks about regularly.

Very good day care, they really go the extra mile. My son had speech delay but he improved a lot in this day care. He has learnt a lot of educational stuff, like baking and bug hunting. He's been more talkative than before. Teachers go the extra mile and keep parents updated about daily activities and

Teddies Coulsdon has improved beyond all recognition over the past 18 months. Changes to staff, systems and ethos have made a significant difference. The change must be attributed to the manager.

My son started when he was 10 months old. He has been very happy here and has learned a wide range of things - good and healthy eating, planets, safety on the road etc. He has grown in confidence and we are extremely pleased with how he has developed in the last few years. I have been working in childcare since 2006, where I started as an apprentice and gained Level 2 and Level 3 in Childcare and Education with City and Guilds. I have been in Bright Horizons for 16 years starting with Casterbridge where I worked at Wishing Willow in Banstead. I then progressed in my job role from Nursery Assistant to Nursery Nurse when I gained my NVQ Level 3 then from there I was promoted to room manager then to a junior deputy and from then to Deputy Manager.


I am now the nursery Manager. Since 2016 I have worked at Coulsdon Day Nursery and Preschool. My role is also the Senco Coordinator where I work closely with the staff team and parents to ensure that I am here to support them if needed at any time. I also have the role and responsibility of being the health and safety coordinator where it is my job to ensure the nursery environment is kept clean and safe and to report if we have any health and safety concerns and to also ensure everyone is kept safe.

I have worked for Bright Horizons since 2017 gaining skills and experiences in various positions within the company.
