Bright Horizons Elm Grove: A loving and nurturing nursery.

Bright Horizons Elm Grove Day Nursery and Preschool provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Situated in Kingston upon Thames, the setting offers excellent transport links for trains and buses.

The nursery is a two-storey building with age-appropriate rooms for the children to learn and grow and benefits from two gardens to extend their play and learning experiences. The older children will benefit from being able to test their skills in the Science Studio, which the children can access on a daily basis. And for those that are more creative, the children enjoy the Cooking and Art Clubs, where they can freely explore and experiment with their senses.

I find the staff very approachable and friendly. My son enjoys going there, and although slower than expected I think his overall development has progressed.
However, I sometimes think that when they report back to me at the end of the day that they aren't always sure exactly what he has eaten. This
is important as he is a very fussy eater and has had a number of food intolerances and allergies. Therefore, understanding what foods he is now eating helps us at home.

Our children have loved coming to nursery from their first days and have been clearly cared for fantastically by all the staff.
They’re happy, tired and full of stories (and healthy, interesting food) every day - which is just how we want them to be!


The only thing that I would change is for them

to spend more time outside the nursery on adventures to the park, the shops or just for a walk.

Bright Horizons Elm Grove is a good nursery with caring and friendly staff. There could be more variety of activities and outdoor recreation for children planned especially in the summer months. Management can be more professional and clear in admin related issues and communication. The garden play

We attended the recent Open Day which gave us the chance to spend time in the nursery rooms, talk to staff members and meet other parents. We are amazed at how quickly our son has settled at Elm Grove given he had never been looked after by anyone outside the family before starting. The wonderful staff
have been instrumental in making him feel happy and secure. They have also worked at assisting his motor development and language which were areas of particular concern for us.

The staff and management at Bright Horizons are very attentive and helpful. They communicate very well and always provide good detail on our Daughters day including her activities, learning, eating and sleeping. The staff have created a strong bond with our Daughter to the point that she genuinely loves
going to nursery in the mornings. The learning programs are varied and help our Daughters continued development. With the staff at Bright Horizons, our Daughter would not be as developed as she is.

Staff is very caring. They welcome my daughter in the mornings to the room with smiley faces. They do organise a wide range of activities and support children to gain confidence/independence.
My daughter feels very happy there.
The nursery has a large outside space/garden and they encourage children
to go out and play in the garden every day.
Staff provide a full report for the day during pick-up. Accidents rarely happen. Staff/management is good at listening to feedback from parents and actioning those.
It is a safe and nurturing environment.

If you are looking for a warm, lovely place and outstanding childcare, this is your direction.
Elm Grove is amazing, huge (place), building for all the ages from three months to five years.

Our son has been at Elm Grove since he was six months old.
He is now almost 2.
The staff are professional but very warm and everyone seems to know our son by name.
His days are well planned with lots of activities and the outside space means the children spend a good amount of time in the fresh air.
The
evening handover to us is always thorough.
The menus are varied and our son gets to try a huge variety of food.
We couldn't be happier with the experience he has at Elm Grove.

My son has been with Bright Horizons Elm Grove Day Nursery and Preschool since June 2017 and he loves it. After a few teething problems with staffing, everything seems to be going really well.


The staff are always pleasant and attentive to the children and my son has a good bond with many of them.

The food is always of a very good standard and plenty of it. The activities and learning keep him entertained and we have seen plenty of progression with learning. Happy to leave him in such safe hands.

Staff have always seemed caring and interested. The play and activities are very good, my son has always had busy days. The garden is great for fresh air and letting them run around so they haven't been cooped up all day. Sometimes nappy changes haven't been so good. Welcoming staff, they have a pet
fish which is interesting to them. He has made friends and always seems to have enjoyed his day.

My experience so far with Dolphin has been great. The staff are responsive and pleasant to interact with. When my son is with them he enjoys himself and has very quickly bonded with his key worker. I am confident that he is receiving the best care that he can receive outside of his own home.

My son has been at the nursery for about nine months and he has settled very well. His teacher is great and lets me know what he has done during the morning and I am informed if any concerns. Overall it is an average nursery to attend.

I was very anxious bringing my little girl to the nursery, but once I met the staff at Dolphin Day Nursery I quickly relaxed. Very very nice people, I felt as if I was taking my daughter from home to another home. I am kept up to date with eery one of her day to day activities. I love this nursery and
wish I could attend myself but I am a little too old :).

Claire, the Nursery Manager, boasts an impressive 36 years of experience caring for children across various settings, including her own family. Her journey began at Surbiton Day Nursery, where she supported the baby room. Over time, she progressed from a Room Leader to third in charge. Claire also served as Deputy Manager in Guildford before taking on the role of Manager at Hampton Wick. Finally, she assumed the position of Manager at Elm Grove.


With a foundation degree in Early Years Education, Claire confidently claims to have the best job in the world. She deftly balances office tasks with quality time spent with the children. Her wealth of knowledge and passion for heuristic play drive her to learn every day, drawing inspiration from her favourite teachers—the children themselves.
