The meals cooked by the on-site chef are perfect (we had a chance to try them when nursery hosted Christmas lunch for kids and parents) and provide a great healthy variety. We are very pleased to see our son running to nursery with a smile each morning and not wanting to leave in the evening.
I feel very comfortable leaving my little boy at Elm Grove as I feel the staff there really care for him. Often when I fetch him he is getting cuddles from someone which is lovely. He also seems very happy there.
We are sad that our oldest daughter will be leaving Elm Grove this September (2019) but will be putting our new little girls name down for a place in the new year.
I have been really happy with the care provided by Elm Grove. My daughter has come on in leaps and bounds since attending and has turned into this bubbly and confident girl and loves books! The menu is well-balanced and often quite adventurous, giving the children access to a wide variety of flavours and textures. The staff have really taken their time to get to know her and I can see the time they put into her development.
Bright Horizons Elm Grove has been a great nursery for our daughter to attend. She loves going and runs in the morning into her room. There is a good selection of activities and food when she is there and we feel she is developing so well as a result of attending the nursery.
However, I sometimes think that when they report back to me at the end of the day that they aren't always sure exactly what he has eaten. This is important as he is a very fussy eater and has had a number of food intolerances and allergies. Therefore, understanding what foods he is now eating helps us at home.
The nursery has excellent conditions and the staff is very attentive.
Very happy with carers, they have settled my daughter in well.
They’re happy, tired and full of stories (and healthy, interesting food) every day - which is just how we want them to be!
The only thing that I would change is for them to spend more time outside the nursery on adventures to the park, the shops or just for a walk.
Bright Horizons Elm Grove is a good nursery with caring and friendly staff. There could be more variety of activities and outdoor recreation for children planned especially in the summer months. Management can be more professional and clear in admin related issues and communication. The garden play area could be better equipped with more cycles and other skill-building equipment.
Both my children attend Elm Grove and we are very happy with the nursery. The staff are attentive and engaged, the food is excellent and since the refurbishment, the site is looking much fresher.
We attended the recent Open Day which gave us the chance to spend time in the nursery rooms, talk to staff members and meet other parents. We are amazed at how quickly our son has settled at Elm Grove given he had never been looked after by anyone outside the family before starting. The wonderful staff have been instrumental in making him feel happy and secure. They have also worked at assisting his motor development and language which were areas of particular concern for us.
The staff and management at Bright Horizons are very attentive and helpful. They communicate very well and always provide good detail on our Daughters day including her activities, learning, eating and sleeping. The staff have created a strong bond with our Daughter to the point that she genuinely loves going to nursery in the mornings. The learning programs are varied and help our Daughters continued development. With the staff at Bright Horizons, our Daughter would not be as developed as she is.
I look forward to hearing about each day's activities knowing that any child will have had an interesting and educational time, seeing my child develop and grow as she has moved up through the classes has been a joy.
I highly recommend this nursery.
My son has recently moved to pre-school and his transition has been extremely smooth. The teachers are always very welcoming and provide brilliant updates. We have seen a great improvement in our son's progress and are encouraged to continue his learning at home. Very happy with the team, we feel our son is in very safe hands.
All staff members are very welcoming, open, kind and active.
There are various activities throughout the day and a lovely garden.
The meals are fresh and well balanced.
My daughter feels very happy there.
The nursery has a large outside space/garden and they encourage children to go out and play in the garden every day.
Staff provide a full report for the day during pick-up. Accidents rarely happen. Staff/management is good at listening to feedback from parents and actioning those.
It is a safe and nurturing environment.
Elm Grove is amazing, huge (place), building for all the ages from three months to five years.
I love the art and ICT room to challenge children's learning.
They have a huge garden for all ages.
He is now almost 2.
The staff are professional but very warm and everyone seems to know our son by name.
His days are well planned with lots of activities and the outside space means the children spend a good amount of time in the fresh air.
The evening handover to us is always thorough.
The menus are varied and our son gets to try a huge variety of food.
We couldn't be happier with the experience he has at Elm Grove.
My son has been with Bright Horizons Elm Grove Day Nursery and Preschool since June 2017 and he loves it. After a few teething problems with staffing, everything seems to be going really well.
The staff are always pleasant and attentive to the children and my son has a good bond with many of them. The food is always of a very good standard and plenty of it. The activities and learning keep him entertained and we have seen plenty of progression with learning. Happy to leave him in such safe hands.
