Bright Horizons Elm Grove: A loving and nurturing nursery.

Bright Horizons Elm Grove Day Nursery and Preschool provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Situated in Kingston upon Thames, the setting offers excellent transport links for trains and buses.

The nursery is a two-storey building with age-appropriate rooms for the children to learn and grow and benefits from two gardens to extend their play and learning experiences. The older children will benefit from being able to test their skills in the Science Studio, which the children can access on a daily basis. And for those that are more creative, the children enjoy the Cooking and Art Clubs, where they can freely explore and experiment with their senses.

Elm Grove takes care of our two boys currently aged 3-years-old and 1-year-old. We have been there for eighteen months. The staff are caring and bond with the children. The updates on the app are useful and staff address concerns about settling, eating and sleeping etc, well. We would recommend Elm

Our son started at Bright Horizons at 11 months old and he settled very quickly with the help of the team. We are impressed with the daily activities the team organise for him, the care they give him and the regular updates they provide on the app.

We love the nursery. The staff are so caring and really aim to develop the children at each stage of their early years, whilst ensuring they have lots of fun. My son always says at the end of the day that he's had fun. Congratulations to all of the staff!

As a family we have been using the nursery for the last four and a half years. Both my children have attended since they were a year old. The staff are very nurturing and caring. Whilst it is a large nursery, all the staff know all the children and the setup accommodates all the different age groups
in large, well-equipped rooms. The garden provides a great outdoor space for the children to use. During this last year, the staff have worked extremely hard to ensure all the necessary precautions and measures are taken whilst maintaining a fabulous educational standard throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

My three year old has been attending Bright Horizons Elm Grove Day Nursery and Preschool since he was a few months old and absolutely loves it there. The staff are all so amazing and have been extremely supportive and have gone above and beyond, especially through the pandemic we have experienced. I
love where the nursery is situated away from the main road and in a nice quiet area. I would most definitely recommend this nursery and am so grateful for all their hard work.

I wanted to take the time to share how amazing the staff team have been these past 8 months in the current climate.
The safety of children and staff has been at the heart of what they do and the care and education of my daughter is still A-class. Yes, there has been a change in terms of how activities
are undertaken, but the nursery is constantly adapting, changing and keeping families up to speed.
The staff team feel like an extended family. They have been part of my family for six years now, I have one year left and am already feeling sad about the impending end of our journey.

We are key workers and used Bright Horizons Elm Grove when our nursery had to shut. They were absolutely fantastic from our first phone call, to settling in sessions, to adjusting and as we move towards going back to our old nursery. Elm Grove is a lovely place for kids to grow, learn and develop as the nursery staff members are very attentive, enthusiastic, caring and the facilities both indoors and outdoors are very good (include Arts room, Little Kitchen, IT room, outside play garden for babies and toddlers).
The meals cooked
by the on-site chef are perfect (we had a chance to try them when nursery hosted Christmas lunch for kids and parents) and provide a great healthy variety. We are very pleased to see our son running to nursery with a smile each morning and not wanting to leave in the evening.

I feel very comfortable leaving my little boy at Elm Grove as I feel the staff there really care for him. Often when I fetch him he is getting cuddles from someone which is lovely. He also seems very happy there.

Our Daughter has attended the Elm Grove Day Nursery for the past two and a half years and we have had a fantastic experience with all members of staff as she moved from the Baby room all the way through to Pre-School. The building and the outside areas are well maintained and secure spaces for children
of all pre-school ages. The staff are extremely good at assessing the children's progression through the nursery and we have always felt confident that our little girl has moved through the rooms when she has been ready to make the next step. The food at the nursery is great, they catered for our daughter's allergy brilliantly without limiting her experimenting with new foods which has really helped outside the nursery environment.
We are sad that our oldest daughter will be leaving Elm Grove this September (2019) but will be putting our new little girls name down for a place in the new year.

I have been really happy with the care provided by Elm Grove. My daughter has come on in leaps and bounds since attending and has turned into this bubbly and confident girl and loves books! The menu is well-balanced and often quite adventurous, giving the children access to a wide variety of flavours
and textures. The staff have really taken their time to get to know her and I can see the time they put into her development.

Claire, the Nursery Manager, boasts an impressive 36 years of experience caring for children across various settings, including her own family. Her journey began at Surbiton Day Nursery, where she supported the baby room. Over time, she progressed from a Room Leader to third in charge. Claire also served as Deputy Manager in Guildford before taking on the role of Manager at Hampton Wick. Finally, she assumed the position of Manager at Elm Grove.


With a foundation degree in Early Years Education, Claire confidently claims to have the best job in the world. She deftly balances office tasks with quality time spent with the children. Her wealth of knowledge and passion for heuristic play drive her to learn every day, drawing inspiration from her favourite teachers—the children themselves.

Charlotte, who has been with Bright Horizons since 2009, was originally based in the Banstead nursery and holds a Level 3 qualification.
