My daughter started Nursery within her first year and has only recently left Bright Horizons at the age of 4yrs old due to us moving away as a family outside of Kingston. I have nothing but good feedback about Bright Horizons the staff are of a very high standard and I have always felt that my daughter has been in very capable hands. Even during this difficult pandemic, they have continued to provide a very good standard of learning and a supportive environment. I work as a frontline worker and this job was made easier knowing my daughter was very well looked after and educated about the current situation. The daily feedback from staff is very professional, honest, and useful I have been taken back by the detail of feedback and observations provided. My daughter has had the opportunity to really truly express herself and to grow into her character freely whilst being guided where necessary to understand boundaries and acceptable social interactions. I am truly grateful.
All the staff members are always very accommodating and care deeply about our kids. I will never forget my 1,5 yo son running to his teacher’s arms after not seeing her for two weeks due to the Spring Break. That genuine demonstration of love says it all.
The nursery truly took on the challenge given by the pandemic and did everything they could to keep open and offer our children an environment as normal as possible.
thank you!
I love this nursery. Both my sons went there, and my youngest (age 3) is now in the pre-school there. The staff are incredible, really caring and put on lots of fun activities, and the pre-school teacher provides a high-quality education. He always runs in excited to go, and the facilities are excellent. He loves the food - and always seems to have seconds! I'd highly recommend it!
Our son attended this nursery and preschool from 12 months old and our daughter is now attending. We have always got on really well with all the staff and feel that our children are safe and being well looked after. The nursery dealt with re-opening to non-keyworkers after the covid lockdown really well with clear information and precautions taken. The only thing I would prefer is for tea to be a bigger meal as we pick up between 6-6.30pm
It must have been very difficult for members of staff to reopen the nursery after lockdown was lifted and an unimaginable amount of prep must have been put in to ensure safety of our children and staff. Under such a very difficult circumstance, my child comes back home with a lot of artwork, crafts, and one time, a potato! It is obvious that staff are doing the best that they possibly can to provide them with enjoyable/fun/ learning activities. I really admire how hardworking and committed the staff members are.
A friendly nursery with great facilities, including a very decent outdoor space. The art studio was my daughter's favourite place, but she also had a great time doing music and dancing and performing at the Christmas show they put on. Her confidence in numbers and writing also improved while she was at the preschool, and they had a good book borrowing scheme to encourage early reading. They offer great nutritious food options; our little girl has always eaten well at Bright Horizons nurseries. As a Bright Horizons nursery, they also offer longer opening hours than most of the local nurseries we looked at, which was a huge necessity for us when commuting into London.
Both my kids are very happy there.
Both our children are going to this nursery and are both very happy to be there! They love the staff, the food, the garden and all the activities they are doing there. As parents, we feel that this is a safe environment where our children can socialise safely, make new friends, play, learn and enjoy. All the staff is so friendly and approachable. They are willing to make the extra mile for the children’s well-being! We would definitely recommend it!
Very happy with the overall care, activities and staff at the nursery. My son loves spending time here, especially now he has moved up to firebirds with the older children. He is excited to tell me about his day when I collect him and his language has improved immensely since moving up a level into firebirds.
We had used numerous other nurseries prior to arriving at Bright Horizons and have a host of terrible experiences with most of them due to our son's unique requirements, as he is diagnosed with ASD. But since day 1, our son has thoroughly enjoyed coming here, he has made friends and bonds with the teachers unlike at previous schools. They have worked with his therapist to provide him with the best learning strategies and his development reflects this great progress.
Brilliant! My child seems to really enjoy his time at the nursery. He gets up to lots of activities and always seems very entertained and involved. I think this nursery has worked really well for him.
My son thoroughly enjoys his time at this nursery. The staff are very welcoming, loving and attentive to children’s needs. They worked really hard to help my son settle in. I’m really glad I have chosen this nursery for my son.
This is an excellent nursery where both my girls have been cared for and looked after so well. It's a place where once dropped off, I do not need to worry, as I know they are in able, caring hands.
My son has been in Active Learning since 9 months old and is now leaving to go to school aged 4. He took a while to warm up to the nursery, however in the past 2 years he's grown to love it. The teachers, particularly those in the past 2 years, have been wonderful. They really get to know the children and create great bonds with them. My son particularly loves the sport, science and art lessons, and I credit his great number and letter skills at such an early age to the teaching he's had at the nursery. We love that they have so much space here - they are not in one room all day like many other nurseries. They are moving around to different 'lessons' and always have garden time which is their favourite. The management are supportive also, and very flexible adding on extra sessions whenever required. The only negative we've experienced is the very high price increases year on year, which unfortunately I believe is down to the parent company and not a reflection on the nursery itself.
I was very nervous about signing my son up to any nursery as he had never been left with anyone other than Mum and Dad. The first day I dropped him off he was in hysterics and the staff at Active really helped put me at ease. They are a fantastic team of passionate staff with great facilities and all the children seem very happy there. The nursery has really helped my son come out of his shell and build his confidence. Thank you for all your hard work!
Meals are served frequently throughout the day and the boys always seem to have extra servings!
Overall very pleased and would be happy to recommend this nursery school.
I find the staff and in particular room leaders to really take the time to get to know the children, providing as much support as possible.
I also find feedback great and personal and the activities they take part in extensive (i.e. French/ballet/specialist teachers for music/art/sport).
My Son is in Firebird room. He has learned a lot especially through the art class and nursery teacher. He loves the music classes and Ballet. He has bonded very well with his mentors.
The new garden is a great space for the children to play.
I'm sure as he goes through the rooms the activities and learning is appropriately placed but for now, it's quite hard to judge for a one-year-old developmentally. He eats well and gets on with the other children. The staff are organised and always have time for feedback which indicates how much time and effort they have for the children. Thank you to the staff in the babies room.
