I feel like nursery is a lovely environment and that my child has flourished here. He comes home having learned new skills (he now does actions to twinkle star!) eats independently and is happy to be left. I feel very confident leaving him and really enjoy collecting him and seeing his happy friends every day. The children seem happy and the staff ar very caring - all in all, very happy.
As a first time mum, the process of finding nurseries that suit my child's needs was difficult. My child settled very quickly and I've never looked back. Very helpful and very accommodating. I am always at ease. Happy child = happy mum!
Looking Glass made December very festive. Lots of relevant arts and crafts, a very good Christmas party, Christmas jumper day and Christmas lunch.
As always, good service and care, my daughter is very happy here. Big thanks to all the team.
My daughter started Bright Horizons Nursery in August 2017 and we have noticed a big difference in her development, socially and cognitively. She now enjoys being here and appears to have settled in well. The staff are very caring and interested in my daughter's learning. This gives me peace of mind so I can go to work without any concern about her welfare.
So initially, I had a few minor things that I wasn't 100% happy with. I spoke with staff members regarding this, and was made to feel secure and assured things would be in place in order to make changes. Within a couple of weeks, I saw many positive changes that made me feel so happy and comfortable with the choice of leaving my son here. This enabled us to build an even better rapport with staff members. Now 100% happy.
I am very happy with the experience my son is receiving from his time in the nursery. All staff are very friendly and welcoming and I feel very pleased and comfortable knowing he is being well looked after and all his needs will be met.
Over the last two years, our son has immensely enjoyed attending Looking Glass Nursery. From 6 months old, he had a varied diet of activities, a learning journey and caring staff throughout the team. He especially enjoyed the 2-year-old room, as there were many outsourced specialist activities from the sports coach, to theatre and yoga bugs.
If we weren't moving he would be there until school age, the hours also provide flexibility for early starts. He has developed a lot, the last week his health visitor said he was advanced in all areas from gross to fine motor, vocab and soc/EMT. He certainly became a much less fussy eater and I think he gets a better diet there than at home! He is a confident and thriving boy and I believe this is due to the confidence every member of staff instils through appropriate use of praise, encouragement and challenge.
My son has been at Looking Glass for one and a half years and have had nothing but good experiences.
The management team are very helpful and easy to approach.
The staff here are excellent with children and in making you feel comfortable when leaving your child.
There is always a member of staff to talk to whenever you need help or advice.
Overall an excellent nursery!
My son has been in Bright Horizons, Tooting since he was thirteen months. From the first day, he was loved and cared for by all the staff. The main selling point for the nursery (along with lovely staff) is the big garden. The children get a good mixture of structured play and free play. I am sorry to be leaving.
I am very happy with the Looking Glass and will be sending both children there. I'm always impressed with all the staff especially how they know everyone and all the children's names for such a big building. Everyone is friendly and seem to really care about the children. My friends cannot believe that my son is only 2 and has already had yoga and IT lessons. I'm so glad we picked Looking Glass.
For a large nursery Looking Glass manages to provide a very personal and individual level of care for the children. Our son has been going since he was 8 months old and been loved, nurtured and cared for throughout his time at Looking Glass. The outside facilities are brilliant and very unusual for a nursery in this built up area of London. It is very special to see the bonds that develop between staff and children and amongst the children themselves.
The standard of care my little boy receives is excellent and I have great confidence when I drop him off in the morning that he will be well looked after and really enjoy his day.
Looking Glass Nursery has been the best thing we have ever done for our daughter. The staff here are so caring and they have given her all the support she has needed to become the wonderful little girl she is today.
Looking Glass has provided a fantastic experience for both our children. It is a loving, caring and nurturing environment with wonderful staff. We are completely satisfied with the care and support our children are given.
I like the fact there are lots of messy play activities but it is disappointing that there will no longer be music sessions on Wednesdays.
I hope that 'yoga bugs' will continue.
Overall I am happy with the facilities are Looking Glass.
In general, the nursery is great. I would encourage more vegetables in the daily menu and we are looking forward to hearing about more replacements to the external music/teachers/learning aids. We are disappointed at the level of increase in fees of which we have voiced to the office.
There is definitely improvement required at this nursery, during the last couple of months there has been numerous silly errors from the management side - one being no keys available to open the door to the nursery in the morning, which resulted in ALL the children being dropped off and kept in the garden in the freezing cold, until the key holder turned up. I was not happy about this at all, especially having to leave my kids in the cold. I have 2 at the nursery. I am also not happy with the amount of staff leavers recently.
Very happy.
Very happy with the activities and lovely staff. Our son is very happy.

Her expertise includes supporting children with SEND, and she is passionate about fostering development and growth. She is excited to be covering maternity leave in the Tooting branch and looks forward to contributing to the team and continuing her journey with Bright Horizons.
I am the Deputy Manager and the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) at Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery.
Before I joined Bright Horizons I was a manager of a smaller nursery, I have experience as a learning support assistant and senior nursery nurse in the primary education sector supporting classroom teachers and children of different ages. My role as a SENCO can be varied - I am responsible for assessing, planning and monitoring the progress of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). I support the identification of children with special educational needs and coordinate provision for them too. I also liaise with parents and with other providers such as outside agencies, educational psychologists, health visitors and speech therapists to ensure we are supporting the children in the best way possible. I create support plans for children and organise tailored activities/interventions to support their development.
My role as Deputy is to assist Terry in providing professional leadership and management of the nursery. I promote the health, safeguarding and well-being of children as well as being a role model to other staff to deliver high-quality experiences and care for the children.
