My child has been here now for six months and she had developed so much, talking and showing me new things. The staff are great for keeping me updated with her progress. I've been so happy with the nursery and staff. Got no bad words to say about them. I can't wait to see how much more my daughter develops.
Hello, thank you so much for your positive feedback!
Children are pretty much left to play how they would like with no structure. The engagement from the staff to the children is basic at best. The staff do not follow any curriculum or approved teaching methods.
Very sad.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Please be assured that our priority is to ensure the safety, wellbeing and education of all children entrusted to us and we are reviewing your comments further with the nursery team and they will of course reach out to you. If you would like to, please do call 0330 433 2460 or email parentenquiry@brighthorizons.com to discuss this further.
However, the change has been tremendous. There's renewed vigour throughout, and the team have introduced some great new rooms for the children. It seems there's a long-term vision for the nursery, which takes time, and some of the initiatives introduced have been smart.
One thing that would complement the great work underway is a bit more TLC from HQ when it comes to the upkeep of the nursery. A freshen-up and lick of paint in certain areas would be advisable.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us.
We are happy with the support we got for our son. The staff have been great with him and helping him to learn new skills.
My daughter loves nursery, sometimes it’s a bit of a struggle to get her to leave in the afternoon. The staff are very friendly and really take the time to get to know the children as individuals.
They do lots of activities, yoga, computer room, baking... I'm really happy with it. I definitely recommend it.
We feel so fortunate that our daughter attends Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool. The team here are wonderful - caring, warm and engaged and our daughter has flourished. We have also been impressed, now she is getting older, at the more structured approach to learning as she moves towards pre-school.
Daughter has been with the nursery for over three years since the age of seven months and has had a wonderful experience. The entire staffing team are warm, caring and supportive of both parents and children and the atmosphere created is so welcoming. Outside space is incomparable in relation to other nurseries in the area. She comes home every day with stories about the fun she’s had and her development has been noticeable, especially over the past few months at preschool. Any worries I’ve had are dealt with quickly and efficiently. We will be sad to leave her Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass family when she goes to school!
I’ve had a great experience with this nursery. My son has been coming here for 8 months and he absolutely loves it. His development has come on in leaps and bounds and he has also made lots of little friends, which warms my heart. I find the staff great - his room staff are very attentive and the management is very supportive.
The changes in the nursery are amazing. My son loves the new rooms, the focused learning and development and activities. The preschool room staff have been exceptional with extremely kind support from the manager and deputy manager.
Hi, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us your rating – it’s much appreciated! We will share this with the store team to let them know how we are doing.
I enrolled my daughter in this nursery thinking it was the best. Only in the first session, I received terrible attention, I don't know, if because I'm black, they didn't even bother to show me the place. I had to insist, like begging them. My daughter's classroom was on the corner, in front of the street and when I arrived I could see that she was crying badly. Once I received my baby she was red and her voice was broken. She immediately fell asleep in my arms. The worst part was when she woke up at home, she had a bad breath, a disinfectant smell that came from her mouth. The rest of the day she was gassy and got some fever. I had to brush her mouth because the smell was awful, like iodine and other awful smell like poop, no sure but It was awful. In the end, after asking them via mail very politely what she ate, they didn't even bother to call me. I decided to take her out of the nursery for her well-being.
We’re sorry to hear your experience of our nursery didn’t meet the high standards of care that both you and we expect. We would like one of our senior team to contact you. We have your contact details on record and will be in touch.
Bright Horizons
Our son has had a lovely first year at Bright Horizons Tooting Bec. Over that time he has developed into a bright and happy toddler which no doubt been thanks to all the help and support he gets from his carers at the nursery as well as the wide array of activities and games he participates in daily. We are very happy with his progress here and enjoy how much he loves going each day.
Such a great nursery. Staff are all lovely, fantastic facilities and the standard of teaching are exceptional. My child is thriving and exceeding her goals thanks to Looking Glass, I honestly could not be happier with this nursery!
My son started the nursery in June at 9 months old. I was worried about him settling in but he absolutely loves it, he is so happy to see the staff in the morning and I can see so much development in him already over just a few months. All the staff are so friendly and caring and I know my little one is in good hands.
I am very grateful for the nursery and the team within it. It is the best place for my child to spend the first few years of his life when he is not at home. I feel at ease when he is there and seeing how happy he is when he leaves the nursery makes me feel so content. It is a parent-friendly, well organised and very welcoming place.
My nephew has been attending Looking Glass Day Nursery for the past 2 years and there isn’t a day where he comes home and doesn’t talk about his amazing experiences! He is constantly learning new things and has developed many skills throughout the years. The staff are a caring and loving team who want the best for your child, they ensure that they are safe and have an enjoyable day. When going to collect my nephew, I'm always greeted with a cheerful smile by the management team and my nephew. It really shows that Looking glass day nursery is a place of adventure and love and the perfect place for your child to grow up in.
The looking glass day nursery is an amazing place. My son enjoys every minute he spends there and always comes home extremely happy. He has developed many skills whilst at the nursery and continues to learn new things each time he’s there. The staff takes extremely good care of the children and I always feel at ease when he is there. I feel that the nursery is parent-friendly, great value for money and very flexible. I can genuinely say it is my son's second home.
We were very nervous at first when looking to put our little one in daycare. But having visited this nursery and meeting the lovely staff, it gave us some comfort. Our son seems to really enjoy his time there, and the activities for the children are very nurturing, and we can see they are developing his skills. Thank you to the amazing staff for taking such good care!
My son has settled in so well. As parents are not allowed into the nursery the team has gone above to ensure not only my son is happy, but us as parents too. The management has been excellent with parents and really helpful. I can't recommend this nursery enough.
The setting is lovely with caring and understanding staff. The staff does innovative activities with children. Children learn routines very quickly from the staff. My three-year-old daughter attends nursery once a week. She is looked after by the staff very well. As a parent, I am happy to say that she learnt to sit down at the table during mealtimes at the nursery. She is slowly picking up on her speech.

Her expertise includes supporting children with SEND, and she is passionate about fostering development and growth. She is excited to be covering maternity leave in the Tooting branch and looks forward to contributing to the team and continuing her journey with Bright Horizons.
I am the Deputy Manager and the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) at Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery.
Before I joined Bright Horizons I was a manager of a smaller nursery, I have experience as a learning support assistant and senior nursery nurse in the primary education sector supporting classroom teachers and children of different ages. My role as a SENCO can be varied - I am responsible for assessing, planning and monitoring the progress of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). I support the identification of children with special educational needs and coordinate provision for them too. I also liaise with parents and with other providers such as outside agencies, educational psychologists, health visitors and speech therapists to ensure we are supporting the children in the best way possible. I create support plans for children and organise tailored activities/interventions to support their development.
My role as Deputy is to assist Terry in providing professional leadership and management of the nursery. I promote the health, safeguarding and well-being of children as well as being a role model to other staff to deliver high-quality experiences and care for the children.
