The nursery from the start made us feel at ease and worked really hard and diligently to make sure our daughter settled in well. Her room adults and leaders (roses) are top tier and really look after her and we couldn't be happier with our first 6 months there. The managers are really responsive to any questions we have or when we need to alter things based on our change in schedule

The nursery is spotlessly clean, safe, and designed perfectly for little ones to explore and develop. We adore Bright Horizons Tooting and feel incredibly lucky that our son is being so well looked after. The staff are kind and caring and it always feels welcoming at pick up. Our daughter loves Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool, the care and attention she receives is excellent. The variety of activities daily is much more than we could do at home. We see her development every day. The communication with parents is great via the Bright Horizons app which, as she has allergies, is very reassuring. We cannot fault the nursery or the staff.

The facilities are great, big, spacious rooms, with gardens and different activities every day to help the children progress and have fun. The staff here go above and beyond in their care and fondness of the children.

Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool has been brilliant for both my children but for my son especially. He has struggled with speech delay and sensory processing issues, the nursery staff (the deputy manager in particular) have put in place so much support and guidance to help him and have also been a huge support to us, as parents, too. We highly recommend the nursery to anyone who asks!

Very happy nursery with excellent staff. Our eldest loved it and our 2nd (10 months) has recently started and is also having a fantastic time. The rooms are a good size and well resourced. The garden area is great too. We would highly recommend Bright Horizons Tooting.

It’s coming up to a year since my son started attending - the nursery staff have been so kind, welcoming, flexible and importantly lovely to my little boy. We chose Bright Horizons Tooting because, from our first visit, it was clear the children are treated with love. I had a tricky sleeper and they were so respectful of the extra support she needed when she started at 11 months and they have been nothing but supportive since. We are now expecting our second child and the staff have been doing lots of practice with baby dolls and getting her ready. The facilities are brilliant but the staff are the real stars.

I am the Deputy Manager and the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) at Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery.
I have over 10 years of experience working with children and I hold a level 3 in Child Care and Education.Before I joined Bright Horizons I was a manager of a smaller nursery, I have experience as a learning support assistant and senior nursery nurse in the primary education sector supporting classroom teachers and children of different ages. My role as a SENCO can be varied - I am responsible for assessing, planning and monitoring the progress of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). I support the identification of children with special educational needs and coordinate provision for them too. I also liaise with parents and with other providers such as outside agencies, educational psychologists, health visitors and speech therapists to ensure we are supporting the children in the best way possible. I create support plans for children and organise tailored activities/interventions to support their development.
My role as Deputy is to assist Terry in providing professional leadership and management of the nursery. I promote the health, safeguarding and well-being of children as well as being a role model to other staff to deliver high-quality experiences and care for the children.
