Located in Tooting Bec, the nursery is a beautiful, refurbished setting designed to support your child’s development, from the age of 3 months to 5 years. Set near the scenic Tooting Bec Common, the Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool in Tooting Bec is conveniently located a 10 minute walk from Tooting Bec Station, and a short drive to Tooting town centre. They also have a buggy storage area to make pick-up and drop-off as easy for you as possible.

They understand your child wants to explore the hobbies they love most. This is why they offer a wide range of extracurricular activities including sports coaching, ‘Theatre Bugs’ and ‘Teddy Tennis’. They also have a dedicated art studio led by the art teacher, so your child has the freedom to be as creative as they can be. They provide babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers in the nursery with access their own age specific garden. Bright Horizons is a fantastic nursery. Our son absolutely loves it and it's been so lovely to see him grow and develop while he's been there. Their facilities are brilliant. The outdoor area is huge and so accessible, allowing the children to have indoor/outdoor freedom to explore and get fresh air-
it makes such a difference.
The staff are just amazing as well- always so welcoming and friendly. We've had such a good experience so far and couldn't recommend them enough!

I was nervous about sending my little boy to nursery as he found being at a childminders quite difficult. As soon as I stepped into Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool I instantly knew I had nothing to worry about and every experience since then has been outstanding.
He
has built strong bonds with all staff members, even those that don't work in his room. He has developed so much since being at Bright Horizons (confidence, feeding self, activities outside his comfort zone). The team go to lots of effort creating engaging activities and provide detailed reports of how he is getting on. My partner and I love looking at all the photos of what our son is up to throughout the day and details of what he has eaten/how much he has slept etc.
Sending your little one to nursery for the first time can be super scary but the team at Bright Horizons are absolutely outstanding and I cannot recommend them enough.

Our daughter loves Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool, the care and attention she receives is excellent. The variety of activities daily is much more than we could do at home. We see her development every day. The communication with parents is great via the Bright Horizons
app which, as she has allergies, is very reassuring. We cannot fault the nursery or the staff.

This is my first experience of my child being cared for by people other than family. It, so far, has been a positive experience. My child loves nursery and this is a testament to those caring for her.
As parents, you want your child to be in a safe environment where they can learn, make friends and
really enjoy their day. I would say this is the experience my child has on a display basis.
It is important to note the support from the managers is integral to the care and management of a nursery. Due to management, during my tour, I knew this was the right place. Daily, my child wants to engage with them which highlights to me they too are involved with spending time and getting to know the children in their care.
Overall, a positive experience.

Wonderful nursery. The staff are so friendly and caring and it's clear how much my daughter loves them.

My two children have been in Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool since 2020.
My son is 4 in pre-school and started when he was 6 months old and so did my daughter who is currently 21 months.
We have nothing but great things to say about the staff. They have been the most
kind, supportive and amazing extensive "village" we could have hoped for. We are so lucky to have found this place and I will forever be grateful to the staff for knowing how to help us raise amazing kids but also keeping them safe: our son had a seizure episode when he was 18 months old and they did everything they should have done and beyond, looking after him while myself and my husband were travelling as fast as we could back from our place of work. The hospital was impressed with how they followed procedure while clearly looking after our child whilst waiting for us.
I cannot recommend this nursery enough and would never change for the world.

Bright Horizons Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery and Preschool has been brilliant for both my children but for my son especially. He has struggled with speech delay and sensory processing issues, the nursery staff (the deputy manager in particular) have put in place so much support and guidance to

Although large, the people and the spaces are so welcoming that it has a lovely warmth and connected feel. They observe and get to know your child very well individually, and deliver engaging, skill-developing group activities every day.

We chose Bright Horizons Tooting because, from our first visit, it was clear the children are treated with love. I had a tricky sleeper and they were so respectful of the extra support she needed when she started at 11 months and they have been nothing but supportive since. We are now expecting our
second child and the staff have been doing lots of practice with baby dolls and getting her ready. The facilities are brilliant but the staff are the real stars.

In the 4 months since my daughter started nursery she has come on leaps and bounds. This is down to the staff and their care and attention. My child is reaching all her milestones and loves nursery. I am really happy with her progress and the nursery team.

Our son has been coming to this nursery for almost 1.5 years, and our daughter will start next summer. He has developed so much over his time there. Whilst there has been some change in management over that time, it has been handled and communicated well. They are very responsive and it feels very family-like
and personal there, despite it being a big nursery. We are very happy.

Our son really loves going to Bright Horizons Looking Glass in Tooting! The staff are really lovely and truly care about the wellbeing of each child. They organise different engaging activities for the children every day, and the kids always seem to really enjoy them!
The opening hours are amazing
for us, as it gives working parents a little bit of extra flexibility.
The facilities are always clean and in general the nursery is quite new. There is a large garden so the kids often get to spend time outside, which is lovely. We've looked at a few nurseries when choosing Looking Glass and whilst it's one of the more expensive ones in the area, the quality of care and facilities are worth it!

The staff are great. Really nice, take great interest and pride in their work. In particular, a certain staff member is excellent. She’s approachable, knowledgeable and seems to always be at the nursery, working very hard.
The staff in all the rooms our daughter has been in have been great but the
stars of the show have definitely been fantastic with our daughter.
The facilities are great, there’s lots for the kids to do and they seem to learn a lot.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I joined my first Bright Horizons nursery in September 2014 and was drawn in by the Growing Readers programme which embodied everything I loved about inspiring children to develop their love of reading and gave me the tools to make the learning experience truly fantastic. Even as the manager I still take the time to have story times with the children when I can. I have an absolute passion for open-ended, loose parts and heuristic play. I love adding natural resources such as flowers, leaves, herbs and sticks to enhance children’s learning experiences and really engage the imagination.


I am very environmentally conscious and try to be as sustainable as possible, reusing tins from the kitchen and all the packaging that comes into the nursery. I enjoy finding imaginative things to do with them. I am a very hands-on leader who loves to inspire my team with great ideas for activities.

I am the Deputy Manager and the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) at Tooting Looking Glass Day Nursery.


I have over 10 years of experience working with children and I hold a level 3 in Child Care and Education.
Before I joined Bright Horizons I was a manager of a smaller nursery, I have experience as a learning support assistant and senior nursery nurse in the primary education sector supporting classroom teachers and children of different ages. My role as a SENCO can be varied - I am responsible for assessing, planning and monitoring the progress of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). I support the identification of children with special educational needs and coordinate provision for them too. I also liaise with parents and with other providers such as outside agencies, educational psychologists, health visitors and speech therapists to ensure we are supporting the children in the best way possible. I create support plans for children and organise tailored activities/interventions to support their development.
