At The Nursery Family there is no priority greater than your family. They are a small group of six day nurseries offering home from home care and education in a safe, secure and vibrant nursery facilities where your child can be nurtured and cared for throughout the whole day.

All of their nurseries have wonderful outdoor space where children can explore, run around, climb, splash in water or just sit quietly and ponder.

Founded in 2012, The Nursery family provides high-quality care and education for children from 3 months to 5 years in their six nurseries located in West Sussex and Hampshire.

Through employing only the brightest and best practitioners and offering constant personal and professional development, they are proud to have been rated Outstanding by Ofsted (May 2019) and awarded 10 out of 10 on the parent review site daynurseries.co.uk.

My Son started at this nursery just after his first birthday, he settled in really quickly, the staff are amazing and it really is home away from home for him. The breakfasts, lunch and dinners are brilliant and varied. They get up to lots of different activities, including playing outside in the garden.
Couldn't recommend this nursery and the staff enough.

My daughter has been going here since September and loves it. I really feel that the staff see her as an individual and really care about all the children.


Everyone is friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is great. I love that she gets outside regularly and gets a chance to interact with some

of the older children every now and then.

I absolutely love this nursery. Everyone is so friendly and caring. My daughter adores everyone who cares for her, which for me, says it all! My son also attended this nursery and runs back in to say hello regularly! Highly recommend!

Very pleased with the nurseries care, lovely supporting staff and my son is well looked after in their care. While the nursery on the smaller side, I like they utilise the space they do have well with a variety of activity choice (judging from the picture updates). The food always smell good that's
been cooked and my son actually eats it! I have tried the cakes when visiting delicious! The parking outside can be a bit chaotic (not nurseries doing) so we park in the car park across the road no problems, plenty of spaces to walk around. The price initially might seem steep, but really for the price of good childcare, its very good value for money and very worth it. I have previously recommended to other parents and would still highly recommend them.

This nursery is great, my son has been attending this nursery for just over a year now and I can't fault them. Megan his key worker is amazing with him, Terri the manager is always there when I need reassurance, she goes above and beyond every time. Shes a star. His speech has come on leaps and bounds
since he first started and that's down to all the girls involved with him. When I leave him I know he is well cared for and he is happy.

My child started in the baby room at nine months old and is now preparing to start school. I cannot praise this nursery highly enough; they consistently go above and beyond. All members of staff are friendly and approachable, and the manager is always available to answer any questions with kindness
and professionalism.
My little boy has developed a wonderful bond with his key person and has truly flourished during his time here. I placed my trust in this nursery to care for and support my child, and they have exceeded my expectations. I am incredibly grateful for the care, dedication, and support they have shown him.

Our son has been with Lancing Day Nursery for almost two years now, since he was a year old. He's now about to move up to pre-school, so I can't help but reflect back on his experience at the nursery and notice how much he's flourished.
In each environment (baby snug, toddler den), our son has of course
been given a wonderful level of care and attention, but also so much encouragement and opportunity to learn.
Watching him now eagerly wait to go into nursery is a really lovely, reassuring feeling after having very strong parental attachment. He then comes out and tells us about the different things he's been able to do, grown ups and peers he's interacted with, even teaching us a new rhyme or two.
Huge thank you to the team at the nursery for providing such a great environment for our son to spend his time.

Over the moon with this nursery. As a first time parent, sending your child to nursery for the first time is daunting, but I am so pleased with the outcome. Our boy absolutely loves it. He waves us off each morning and can't wait to get in for his breakfast! He's clearly made strong bonds with the team
there. They really know him well and it's clear to see. He does so much in the way of crafts and activities, he's always very ready for bed. He's learning a huge amount too - comes home knowing new animals or pointing to his nose, ears and eyes. He's still very little! We couldn't be happier. Thank you to the whole team

My daughter has attended this nursery since April 2024, first in the baby snug and now in the toddler room. My daughter took a little while to settle in, but the staff were so supportive, especially Millie, who did everything she could to get my daughter to feel happy and comfortable. Now she is absolutely
thriving in the toddler room. She loves the big garden and having the independence to choose where she goes and what she plays with. She loves telling us about her day and even makes her dad play nursery with her, "dropping him off, getting him breakfast and playing inn the garden". I'm so happy we chose to send her here.

Couldn't be happier with this nursery. The staff are all lovely and very attentive . Our son joined the Nursery in Spring this year and it's been such a positive experience from day one. From the day we visited when looking at nurseries in the area, to his first day; to now, there is always such a calm and caring environment that seems so naturally happy and nurturing for the children.
He is happy with so many of the nursery workers there and they are great at catering activities to match his energy levels (and obsession with the sandpit!).

The staff here are wonderful and genuinely care. My youngest daughter is in toddlers currently and my eldest left to start school last year and both made excellent friendships during their time here. In comparison to local nurseries used by friends, the staff morale seems high, turnover low and level
of care excellent. Both my daughters built wonderful bonds with the staff here and my eldest still talks about her time at nursery incredibly fondly.
My youngest currently enjoys lots of time outside including 'field trips' to the field opposite, eats well and has lots of fun. The team were also amazing when she was potty training and she has just two accidents at nursery! I wouldn't to recommend this nursery to anyone.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery since June 2025 and we have been nothing but very impressed with all of the staff. They are really friendly and very informative at the end of each day with what she has been up to and how she has been progressing. The communication is excellent if anything
happens. Our daughter can't wait to go back each day.

Great nursery, local with good facilities and lots of outdoor activities in the garden. The kids get some amazing meals from the chef and the new management team are adding their stamp to the nursery. The main strength is the nursery colleagues who work tirelessly to make it an enjoyable experience
for the kids with lots of leaning and fun at the same time. They show patience and compassion in abundance. Specially shout out to Grace and Cicely who our son often talks about even after he has moved to the next room and Daisy who did settles for both our kids

What a wonderful nursery! My son started here at 15 months and the nursery has really supported him grow and develop linguistically. They have supported us when he had attachment issues and now he is almost 2.5 years old he leaves nursery and tells me how he's had a 'good day at nursery mummy'. The
staff are wonderful, caring and consistent. The food is healthy and I'm impressed with the variety. Since he's moved rooms I've really seen him change and develop new skills - cooking, painting, for example. The app that is now used under new management has definitely had teething issues but the nursery are working to improve these, which is great to see. I really am very happy to have sent my son here at the start of this educational journey.

Great family atmosphere, with absolutely every teacher having the children's best interest in mind. Warm, welcoming, stimulating yet balanced approach. My son loved the creative play as well as messy play, which I found far too overwhelming at home. Both of my kids spent 3.5 years in the nursery and
loved it. It felt like an extension of our home, as teachers were happy to support the development of our children according to our needs and preferences. Cannot recommend them enough. Our family will miss you all.
