Day Nurseries Owned by Portland Nurseries in West Yorkshire

We're really happy with Harlequin Nursery. The staff are always lovely, helpful, supportive, friendly, knowledgeable, and lots of fun. They seem to create lots of learning tasks and keep our daughter busy and creative. She has always been really happy going here, she enjoys the food and has made lots of friends. We've used Harlequin since our eldest went here 2021-2024 and now our daughter between 2023-2027.

My son is 2.5 years old and has been attending Bradley House Nursery since he was 10 months old. All of the staff are so friendly, caring, honest and hard working and we have always felt that he is in such good hands. Since starting at Bradley House, we've seen him learn so many new things and grow in confidence. It's been lovely watching him develop and enjoy his time at nursery. We would highly recommend Bradley House Nursery to anyone looking for a welcoming and caring nursery for their little one!

Finally, I'd love to see more frequent app updates throughout the day, particularly around meals and activities, rather than receiving everything after collection.

An excellent nursery for both my boys - my oldest started here at 13 months, and my youngest started at 9 months - they both settled within 3 months or so and really enjoy attending. They have a strong relationship with their key workers and it's clear that they spend a good chunk of 1-1 time with their child in order to develop that bond. My oldest has some additional needs which we quickly identified and actioned with an IEP that is reviewed regularly. From a management and leadership perspective the nursery has gone from strength to strength, with the current manager being very approachable, friendly and excellent at her job. The food is brilliant - all made from scratch with minimal ultra processed foods. I have a selective eater and a great eater - both are accommodated for. The layout of the nursery is great with a small outdoor play area for the younger children and gates/locked doors pretty much everywhere to get in and out. Security and safeguarding is taken very seriously

Bradley House really feels like a home-from-home, and we are so grateful to all the staff for everything they do. We couldn't ask for a better nursery for our son

My daughter has been at this nursery since November 2025 and it has been amazing since she started. All the staff are so caring and always put me at ease. My daughter always loves going to nursery. Definitely recommend!

Harlequins is a fantastic nursery. The facilities are brilliant to say it is a smaller nursery. The manager and staff are brilliant. They communicate really well and it is great to see the rapport they have with my son. Staff are always happy to answer any questions and jemima always takes the time to give a detailed handover. Nina the manager is very helpful and super friendly should you have any questions. My son is in pre school and the daily activities he does are great for his development and learning. I particularly like how they have external people coming into to complete sessions with the children such as rugby which my little boy loves.

We feel very confident in Harlequin Nursery and the staff there. Our daughter appears to be thriving and it always feels like the staff there have the children's best interests at heart. Recently she has been showing us that she has learnt to wash her hands which is something we think she has been taught to do at nursery at only 18 months. We receive thorough daily updates with photos through the app but staff also take plenty of time to talk to us at drop off and pick up. All the children we see look happy and cared for.

We have had a great experience with Holly Bank for both our children. The staff are fantastic, really caring and professional. Lots of different and enriching activities and time for free play, and special interests are encouraged and nurtured. Both our children are developing very well (beyond our expectations) and are very happy and well adjusted. Management is very good as well, with good communication, plenty of opportunities for parent involvement and lots of new resources purchased recently for all the different age groups.

Thank you so much x

Would recommend this nursery to other parents.

Absolutely fantastic nursery, my son currently goes here and has been attending since January time and the girls in the baby room are amazing. They really don't get enough credit for all the amazing hard work they do. I can't wait to watch my son continue to grow with the help of the amazing fairfeild girls

My daughter went here from 9 months ,she loved it. She couldnt wait to get in the car and tell me all about cooking club, french class and all the crafty things she got up too. My youngest now goes and loves playing outside and getting messy .. the sign shes had a good time. The staff are lovely and it is clear how much they care for all the children in their care.

I am really lucky to be able to say that I walk away from dropping my daughter at Fairfield with full confidence that, not only will she have all her needs met with kindness and care, but that she is going to have an enriching and exciting day. My reassurance has been built through the relationships my daughter has with all members of the team, wether or not they are her key worker, and how well they know all of her quirks and things she loves. Fairfield provides different themed weeks, lots of outdoor time, delicious food and daily updates on the parenting app. It's evident all the staff love their job and I couldn't think of anywhere I would rather send my daughter to.

I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for their child. Thank you to all the amazing staff for everything you do!

Absolute amazing nursery! So caring and understanding. Helped us through so many things. Really supportive when my little boy got diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and have been since. Couldn't ask for a better nursery for my boy.

I cannot recommend this wonderful nursery highly enough. When my daughter first started, she struggled immensely with settling in, and as a parent, it was incredibly hard to leave her. However, the patience, warmth, and genuine care shown by her teachers Lauren and Lola has completely transformed my daughter. My daughter has gone from crying at the door to walking in with a smile. She absolutely loves nursery and is now thriving.

Hollybank really is a 5 star nursery!

Both of my boys have attended Oakwood from 11 months until pre-school room age. They both surprise us with the amazing stories they tell us about what they have been up to and the staff are all very invested in their learning and wellbeing. Our boys have made lasting connections with the staff, who nurture and support them throughout their time there. We picked the nursery mainly because it was big room sizes, with lots of opportunities for kids to make friends, and the large outdoor exploring area. The play they are allowed to explore in the woodland is amazing, and we're glad they get to explore and take risks in the outdoors. We would choose Oakwood house again.

With it being a forest school the emphasis on playing outside is imperative and now the weather is nice our daughter seems to have grown leaps and bounds in confidence outside. We've already got our baby son booked to start when I return to work. They have an app where you get regular updates on what the children are doing and regular photos through out the day. My child always comes home with paintings and drawings and clearly enjoys her days at nursery. She has a key worker again Cody who shows real enthusiasm with the children and I feel happy knowing my child is being monitored by her. We have regular catch ups to discuss my child and how she is being with Cody and the other children I'm so glad I found this nursery would recommend to everyone
