Located just opposite the Royal Berkshire Hospital, the beautiful new N Family Club nursery is set in an impressive period property. N Family Club specialise in sensitively restoring buildings so that they remain full of character, while being purpose-built to provide modern learning environments that support the delivery of N's bespoke early years curriculum.

The Reading nursery features a large garden that comes complete with an adventure playground, messy play spaces, a sandpit and plenty of space for outdoor games and learning. To support children as they unleash their creativity, there is a specialist art and cooking room. The playrooms are bright and spacious, and are flooded with natural light. There is a dedicated parent area, featuring a breakfast bar serving fresh coffee each morning, and a large car park perfect for commuting parents.

N Family Club are striving to rethink early years, offering a fresh educational outlook to prepare children for life in the modern world. They were named the UK's highest quality nursery group by Nursery World in 2023, and believe that their approach to early years education supports children to become curious explorers, life-long learners and critical thinkers. The bespoke curriculum that is delivered every day through play-based experiences is designed to be unique to each child, based on their development and their interests.

Laura Matthews, former Head of Nutrition at Jamie Oliver, has also partnered with N to ensure that the balanced, nutritious menu supports every child’s developmental needs. In-house chefs prepare fresh meals every day in the nursery café kitchen.

We recently made the difficult decision to remove our child from N Family Club. When we joined, the nursery set a very high standard for care and consistency, which, unfortunately I feel my child did not receive during his time there.


There were frequent changes in staffing, and my child was often

with unfamiliar faces, which made settling very difficult. On several occasions, I felt the level of attentiveness and warmth fell short of what young children need and what we were promised.


I raised my concerns more than once, but sadly even with this the issues continued, leaving us with no choice but to look for alternative care.


It's a real shame, as the setting has great potential and the right intentions, but in our experience, the fundamental aspects of consistency and quality of care fell short of the the expections set by the nursery and their ethos.

We love N Family Club. Nursery is such an investment, even with government funding, and the difference between nurseries can feel huge. At N, it is so clear to see how your money is being invested both into your child and into you as a family. Staff are warm and welcoming - no question or query is too
big or too small - they are always ready to help if they can. Even with the small things like noticing I was struggling with the stairs because I'm heavily pregnant so they offered to bring my son to me when I pick up rather than me going to him to collect. I was also blown away by how quickly they were able to get to know my child. He was sad and shy at first, so not showing his true self, and they were able to identify quickly where he was at developmentally and where they could start to challenge his learning when he's playing.


N also have regular online workshops, healthy recipe's, and blogs that they send out to help parents with a range of different topics covered through the year

The nursery is great all round - location, value for money, facilities, garden and the amazing and attentive staff. The menu is impressive - very varied and nutritious. The staff care deeply about all aspects of the children's well-being and personal development. Our child has really flourished there,
and we can tell that others have too. Aside from this, we also really appreciate the friendliness and professionalism of all involved.

We are very satisfied all around. The nursery is being run very efficiently and it's obvious how passionate management and staff are about early childcare development and take a person interested in the wellbeing of the children. We've not yet encountered any issues and communication has been outstanding.

Our child has been at N Reading for nearly two years, starting a few weeks after it opened in 2023 and overall we have been extremely happy with the experience. He has moved through 4 rooms, had many key people, all of whom he has easily warmed to, who always give him a kind welcome and seem genuinely
happy to look after him. I feel content dropping him off there. Every day there is a learning experience set up with new topics to spark his imagination using sensory-rich materials. He has really grown in confidence. The communication with most staff is excellent and many of them have helped him work through some issues sensitively with their passion and knowledge of child development. The outside space is wonderful and outdoors time is prioritised. The management appear highly professional and visible. Communication via the app is brilliant. We are having to move to a new nursery due to relocation of work which we are so sad about, but very grateful for this past 22 months at N Reading.

A warm and nurturing nursery with a truly wonderful team
Our daughter joined the nursery few months ago and is still going through the accommodation phase, but we already feel so grateful for the gentle care and support she's been receiving. Although she doesn't speak yet, we can see signs that she
is gradually becoming more comfortable - and that's all thanks to the patient, kind, and attentive staff.
The recent Family Fun Day hold over the weekend was such a heartwarming experience. It was clear she had a lot of fun exploring the space and being part of the lively atmosphere. As parents, it was also a lovely opportunity to connect with the staff and other families, and to witness the genuine passion the team brings to their work.
Thank you to everyone at the nursery for making this such a safe and welcoming environment - it gives us real peace of mind to know our daughter is in such caring hands.

N Family Club is exactly what it says it is so please don't be mistaken by thinking this is an ordinary nursery. They foster an environment for all members to form a community with workshops, family fun days and a lobby where we often find ourselves staying for a coffee to chat with other parents.
The
staff are amazing and work off of best practice and up to date research and principles. If we have a question about anything then they are always on hand to explain different options and guide us to what works best for our unit. The meals are cooked on site trained chefs that put the food that I cook at home to shame!
If you want to drop your child off in the morning and evening and dash off then pick a nursery, but if you want to form long standing relationships and form a community then pick a family club and get stuck in!
(Also, the garden is MASSIVE so plenty of space to run around in)

We're very happy with this daycare center; the food is homemade; they don't offer ready-made food to the children. They always focus on fruit, vegetables, fish, and chicken; they don't offer cereal. We are extremely satisfied with the total care environment provided by N Club Reading. Our toddler is thriving there. She is given numerous, varied and thoughtful activities, she eats ALL the delicious food which is provided, she naps better at nursery then at home (!). The overall experience and atmosphere
is conducive to happy children, we love the emphasis on learning outdoors and recognise the impact of the clean, bright and airy rooms. Having recently moved nurseries, we are able to see the comparisons and are confident in the superb provisions provided. Thank you to the attentive staff (our daughter has bonded with someone and it's lovely to see!). And an extra mention for the positive "parent experience" which is fostered on site - little touches like a welcome pack, behavioural sessions, regular app updates and coffee!

My child started nursery at 12 months old and though during the initial days it took her time to settle, I am now able to see how much she enjoys her time at the nursery. I have noticed she is babbling a lot more, has started using hand gestures when she hears a familiar nursery rhyme and has also started
eating much better.
The nursery is very very good about updating and sharing details of the activities through the day which makes me feel comforted and in the know. I would highly recommend N if you are looking for an approach that combines science, social values as well as psychology. Also they value parents and each member of staff makes you feel like you and your child are the most important people there!

So pleased with the nursery. There communication is top notch. Always keep us up to date with anything that's happening, this truly makes us feel included and updated. We cannot recommend N family Reading highly enough! From the moment our little one started at just 6 months old, we felt completely at ease, thanks to the incredible care and warmth of the staff. His key person was loving, attentive, and truly made an effort to ensure he felt safe, happy, and nurtured
every day.
The nursery goes above and beyond with regular updates and adorable photos, which gave us such peace of mind and allowed us to feel involved in his daily adventures. The meals are absolutely fantastic-nutritionally balanced, diverse, and delicious! It was such a relief knowing he was enjoying high-quality food every day. They followed our weaning approach and supported us with everything we have requested to ensure consistency.
One of the best things for us was seeing how genuinely excited he was to go in each morning, always greeting his carers with a big smile.

Our little boy is really thriving at N Family Reading. His development has come along so far since he started from his speech to his motor skills. The staff always have engaging activities prepared. His room manager, Antoinette, and Hannah always have smiles on their faces and seem genuinely excited
to hang out with all the children. Their handovers are always thorough and they always share special moments or milestones. Would 100% recommend.

We've had a fantastic experience at N Club Reading! Settling in was seamless, with a warm welcome and thoughtful touches like a personalised note on our first tour and my daughter's birthday included in reception updates. The staff are kind, attentive, and professional, ensuring learning is tailored
to each child's interests.
Our daughter's Key Person, has been outstanding-providing detailed app updates, personalising activities, and taking time for an end-of-day chat. Small details, like neatly folding her clothes in her bag and ensuring she's cleaned up properly, show genuine care.
The well-planned curriculum includes weekly yoga, and the meal plans are fantastic. Communication is clear, and we love the personal touch, like being asked for song requests for the nursery playlist!

We couldn't be happier with the nursery where our child has been attending since January 2024. From the moment we arrived, the staff have shown exceptional care and dedication. Our baby began in the Nest Room, where they received nurturing attention and love. The transition to the Fortress Room was
smooth, and it's clear that our child feels happy and secure.
The nursery's facilities are excellent, with well-equipped rooms and a delightful outdoor play area. We've seen significant progress in our child's development, thanks to the engaging and thoughtfully planned activities. The team is truly committed to creating a stimulating and nurturing environment for all the children.

It's been amazing my daughter has been here for 4 months now and settled in so well. They've been so helpful with constant updates about what she's been doing and how's she's been. She's devolved so much since starting and I can't recommend n family enough.
