Acorn at Rowans offers up to 50 spaces on a full or part time basis for children from 4 months to 5 years old. Conveniently located in Fullers Slade, Milton Keynes, and open from 07:30am until 18:00pm all year round, it's a perfect choice for busy families.

The nursery staff aim to deliver a home from home environment, where children feel safe and comfortable to explore and play in a way that suits them. With their wealth of experience, the team work hard to ensure the nursery is stimulating yet welcoming through activities that engage children and encourage their development. This is aided by the bright and spacious surrounding of the nursery and the great outdoor space that gives children a chance to explore the natural world.

Tasty and balanced meals and snacks are provided at the nursery using fresh ingredients each day, and the kitchen team are happy to cater for any dietary requirements.

Funding & Fees

Full time place starting from £1,350
Full day from £70.00
Morning session from £42.00
Afternoon session from £37.50

Fees are inclusive of all meals, snacks, drinks (including approved formula milk), nappies and activities.
We do not charge registration fees, only a £100 deposit which is refunded against the first month’s fees. We don’t charge for settling in sessions, but we do expect payment for all nursery fees to be paid up front at the beginning of each month, which is standard practice for all childcare providers. We do not charge for bank holidays, our four training days each year, or for the three days closure between Christmas and New Year. We do, however, charge for days children do not attend through illness or holidays, apart from exceptional circumstances.

I couldn’t praise this nursery and the wonderful staff even more if I tried! The development in my daughter since attending Rowan’s has rocketed and I couldn’t be more proud of her and couldn’t be more grateful to the lovely staff for helping me and baby! Highly highly recommend it! I will no doubt

Everyone at the nursery is really friendly. I trust that my child is well cared for. There are always lots of activities going on which keep the children busy and engaged whilst learning. I always pick him up and he is smiling and happy.

Great nursery however unable to comment on ICT as not seen or heard of my son learning this however everything else is great and staff are all amazing. Great meals provided each week, staff always friendly upon pick up and drop off. Always notified of any incidents/accidents.

Trustworthy and nice staff. They are good at taking care of children. I can see alot of improvement with my son. He is now more sociable, and he is fast learning how to talk. He is a picky eater, but he is gradually learning how to eat new things.

The staff at Acorn Day Nursery are lovely. They are always available and provide daily feedback on our daughter's day. We really feel like they know our daughter. They have made the settling-in process easy on our daughter as she has quickly become comfortable with the setting and staff. They regularly

Our child absolutely loves coming to Rowans nursery. He even does a little happy dance in the morning on his way in. The nursery staff are so caring and supportive. We are regularly kept up to date with our child's development. The staff are great at keeping us informed on the app. We always know how
much he has eaten etc. There are daily photos uploaded with a description of the activities from the day.

We are really happy with Acorn at Rowans. Our daughter recently started attending full-day sessions and we loved the flexibility in the settling-in sessions. We were able to adapt the length and number of sessions to our daughter's needs. Staff have been really thoughtful throughout the process and
have put our minds at ease. Having the app available enabled us to keep in touch with her activities.

The nursery is fantastic. I have complete confidence in every member of staff. The staff are supportive not only of the children but of parents too. Rita Lemos - Nursery Manager


I have been working in the early years sector for over 15 years now.


Originally from Portugal, I moved to the UK at a young age and am fortunate enough to be fluent in both languages.


I hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification, as well as studying at the University of Southampton, specialising in BSc Education, shortly after beginning my leadership and management career in a variety of roles in Central London. Upon starting a family, we chose to move to Milton Keynes, as the area to settle and grow together. And this is where my journey at Acorn began.


I enjoy supporting my team in providing the best learning outcomes for the children in our care, in particular learning and exploring around language development and its impact on cognitive abilities. I also hold a Level 3 SENCo qualification.

I joined Acorn in 2022, I have been working in child care for over 10 years. I have a level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and a level 5 in leadership and management.


I am passionate about encouraging children to have a strong 'can do' attitude, I love nothing more than getting hands on with the children's learning through offering a variety activities based on their interests and development!

Faye joined Acorn in November 2022, initially working at one of our other nurseries and returned to Rowans after maternity leave following the birth of her second child.


With a lot of previous experience in administrative duties, Faye enjoys supporting parents as their little ones start nursery for the first time. She also thrives in helping with organisation and managing administrative tasks within the nursery.
Outside of work, Faye is kept busy with her two young children and loves spending quality time with her family.
