Acorn at Rowans offers up to 50 spaces on a full or part time basis for children from 4 months to 5 years old. Conveniently located in Fullers Slade, Milton Keynes, and open from 07:30am until 18:00pm all year round, it's a perfect choice for busy families.

The nursery staff aim to deliver a home from home environment, where children feel safe and comfortable to explore and play in a way that suits them. With their wealth of experience, the team work hard to ensure the nursery is stimulating yet welcoming through activities that engage children and encourage their development. This is aided by the bright and spacious surrounding of the nursery and the great outdoor space that gives children a chance to explore the natural world.

Tasty and balanced meals and snacks are provided at the nursery using fresh ingredients each day, and the kitchen team are happy to cater for any dietary requirements.

  • Fees are inclusive of all meals, snacks, drinks (including approved formula milk), nappies and activities.
    We do not charge registration fees, only a £100 deposit which is refunded against the first month’s fees. We don’t charge for settling in sessions, but we do expect payment for all nursery fees to be paid up front at the beginning of each month, which is standard practice for all childcare providers. We do not charge for bank holidays, our four training days each year, or for the three days closure between Christmas and New Year. We do, however, charge for days children do not attend through illness or holidays, apart from exceptional circumstances.

My son started nursery in September and has had the best time! All the staff have made him feel safe and happy. We get regular updates and everyone is always friendly and welcoming, I could not be happier with the care he is getting. 10/10 for him and from us as parents!

Our child absolutely loves coming to Rowans nursery. He even does a little happy dance in the morning on his way in. The nursery staff are so caring and supportive. We are regularly kept up to date with our child's development. The staff are great at keeping us informed on the app. We always know how
much he has eaten etc. There are daily photos uploaded with a description of the activities from the day.

We are really happy with Acorn at Rowans. Our daughter recently started attending full-day sessions and we loved the flexibility in the settling-in sessions. We were able to adapt the length and number of sessions to our daughter's needs. Staff have been really thoughtful throughout the process and

The nursery is fantastic. I have complete confidence in every member of staff. The staff are supportive not only of the children but of parents too. Since starting at Acorns I've noticed a huge improvement in my son's speech and understanding. He has also gained confidence, I've put this down to the wonderful, nurturing environment and the amazing staff. I am so glad we found this nursery for my son. He comes home happy from the nursery and has really opened up socially. They have such a great staff, well trained and experienced, and each one of them takes very good care of the children. If a child is upset or needs more attention, I've seen the staff
will spend loads of time just with that child to make him or her feel better. Great care, attention on cleanliness, nutrition and all-round development of children.

My son absolutely loves the nursery and doing what he loves best (exploring, climbing, playing in water, and messy play). He always comes home happy and I know he’s had a day full of activities because he’s absolutely knackered and has gone to bed earlier than he ever has and slept through 11 hours

Being a first-time mom (and therefore a very nervous one!), I was so anxious about sending my daughter to daycare full time. It was a huge change for both of us. Let me tell you - I am nervous no more! All of the lovely staff at Rowans have made this journey so easy for us - and most importantly, my
little girl is growing and developing every single day. She eats well, she sleeps well, and I can track it all on one handy little app. She is talking more, moving so confidently, and I love that she is included with the bigger kids and can learn from them. I know that when I drop her off in the morning, she is safe, loved, and so well cared for. The staff do such an incredible job - and they have fun doing it! Every single day I am reassured that we picked the right place for our daughter to go to daycare. I'll never be able to put into words how grateful I am that we found the perfect fit for our little girl, and therefore, our family.

Acorns feels like a 5-star service with real-time updates via app with photos and updates regarding naps, food, and happy changes, with daily feedback from staff and events, like the Jubilee lunch party. We couldn't ask for more. Their communication is fantastic. I feel very empowered with regard to
my child's care, safety and education. Management always has time for me to ask questions and all staff seem knowledgeable and happy to help.

My little girl has been at Rowans for two months and has blossomed in every area. Her social skills, speech, the concentration at story time, drinking from a cup and using a fork. She never wants to leave! It's wonderful seeing her develop while having so much fun. It's clear that the staff care for
her and all the children. The staff always have time to talk, and every member of the team made an effort with my daughter from the very first day. Delighted she attends Rowans, a great decision to move her here.

I have been working in the early years sector for over 15 years now.


Originally from Portugal, I moved to the UK at a young age and am fortunate enough to be fluent in both languages.


I hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification, as well as studying at the University of Southampton, specialising in BSc Education, shortly after beginning my leadership and management career in a variety of roles in Central London. Upon starting a family, we chose to move to Milton Keynes, as the area to settle and grow together. And this is where my journey at Acorn began.


I enjoy supporting my team in providing the best learning outcomes for the children in our care, in particular learning and exploring around language development and its impact on cognitive abilities. I also hold a Level 3 SENCo qualification.
