Acorn Day Nursery (Rowans)

My son has been at Rowans Nursery for the last 4 years. He has had a wonderful time and I have been so happy with the care and support he has received. The team are great, and my son has always had wonderful key workers. The care is consistent and the communication with parents is excellent. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Our son has just left this nursery, and we couldn't be more grateful for everything the team has done for him. From day one, the staff made him feel safe, happy, and valued, and it's been amazing to see how much he's grown in confidence and development during his time here. The team are caring, patient, and genuinely invested in every child. They always kept us updated, planned fun and engaging activities, and created a welcoming environment where children can learn through play. Leaving is bittersweet, but we're so thankful for the wonderful start they've given him. We would highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a nurturing and supportive place for their child.

We have had the best experience with our son at Rowans. He moved from the babies room (acorns) to the bigger room (squirrels). This move was very smooth thanks to staff ensuring our son had not only settling sessions, but organic interactions and movements between the spaces throughout his time (eg little kids visiting the big playground, or big kids visiting the sensory room in the littles' area). All staff are so friendly and already knew and welcomed our son by name daily. We felt so assured and confident. Frequently Rowans is best practice from which other nurseries "learn" (with staff having placements or lending expertise to other nurseries in the acorn group)- can't be higher recommended than that!

I wasn't sure what to expect but they are everything and more.

my son started at rowans nursery about a month ago and i have to say that they are absolutely fantastic. my son is doing really well there and they always send updates and keep us in the loop about new things he is learning. the staff are lovely, helpful and understanding and they generally care about the children, it's always hard to leave your child for the first time but they are really supportive for the children as well as the parents. i would highly recommend rowans nursery to anyone. 5 stars

I couldn't be happier with Rowan's. I instantly felt the warmth, positivity and genuine care throughout the nursery. It's clear, that the kids are at the heart of everything they do. The team is truly passionate about creating a happy, nurturing and inspiring environment. The leadership team is exceptional. Rita, manager, and her deputy Chloe have created a wonderful environment where children feel valued, supported & encouraged to thrive. Their dedication shines through in everything they do, from the experiences they provide to the strong relationships they build with families. A special mention has to go to my son's key person, Shabreen, who has been absolutely incredible. She has built such a beautiful bond with him and he absolutely adores her. The progress he has made since joining has been absolutely amazing. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Rowan's. The passion, commitment & outstanding care shown by the whole team is incredible. I would highly recommend it to any family.

Acorns Day Nursery is a warm and nurturing environment for toddlers. Our son joined mid April and I can't quite believe how quickly he's settled in. Every morning he looks forward to going in, he absolutely loves his key worker and the rest of the team who are all very welcoming too. It's often a struggle to collect him at the end of the day as he's always having so much fun, he especially enjoys the outdoors areas. The team do a fantastic job of keeping us updated throughout the day which gives us extra peace of mind. We were so delighted with Acorns that we've already signed up our youngest to join in January too. Keep it up team Acorn!

My son was not very comfortable in his last nursery, each time we took him there, he was always upset and crying, not wanting to stay. But when we started here, from the first day he felt more at ease, like he wanted to be here, he is always happy when we drop him off in the morning, he has fun, and has been developing well ever since. I am very grateful to the staff and team looking after him, thank you very much.

We've been sending our youngster to Rowans for 2 years now and have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff are very supportive and facilitate a good level of development. We're particularly fond of the outdoors focused nature of the nursery that's helped develop a lot of curiosity and courage. I would definitely recommend Rowans to anyone in need of child care.

I've so far since my daughter started have enjoyed bringing her here as much as she looks forward to coming. The staff are friendly and the one to one parent meetings to review child progress is very handy. There are a variety of things for my girl to do and she has learnt and is currently leaning so much at this nursery.

The staff are amazing and caring and also happy. My boy loves going to nursery because the staff are so kind and welcoming to him and helps him express his natural self. He always comes home and tells me about his day and always has a massive smile on his face whilst doing so.

My little boy started at the beginning of January 26 and he is absolutely thriving at Acorn at Rowans. He loves going and always looks forward to his sessions. The communication via the app is great so I can see any accidents, and what he's eaten and any observations made. All the staff are amazing too. Very friendly and welcoming and also very approachable with any issues and also lets us know how his overall day has been. Every member of staff are a credit. I'm looking forward to seeing my child's progress and more outings when the weather improves. Thank you for your fantastic team!

Kid settled well after a lot of struggle with other nurseries. Staff is well trained and provide great care.They provide detailed update about the day when collecting the child. They got very good outdoor play where kids can play.

Rowans nursery have been outstanding. My daughter was very nervous about leaving us to go to nursery as were we. The nursery aloud my child to settle in at her own pace. She has come on in leaps and bounds with her speech and learning and is loving all the facilities! The sensory room is one of her favourite. They also do lots of activities outside of the school grounds! It's fabulous to see and the kids love it.

We are extremely happy with this nursery. They helped my son settle in very quickly, which meant so much to us as parents. The whole team is incredibly kind, caring, and supportive, and you can truly feel how much they care about the children. We feel very confident and comfortable leaving our son in their hands. Highly recommend this nursery!

I love the staff and the experience my child has. He's forming a proper little personality and I love it. He is happy bubbly making friends and achieving his milestones with confidence and ease. I know the staff have helped him a lot and supported him and cheered him on. Love you guys!

My 2 year old son started Nursery in January 2026. He didn't seem shy at all as it wasn't busy that day, came 2nd day he was a bit upset because it was loud due to having more children there. His key worker was there for him straight away when he was crying, it was really lovely to see such care and love to my son. Since then he has become to love nursery especially outdoors as he always rans out as soon we get there. All staffs are loving and caring and take there time with my son including other children, you can see how well they are bonded it's a really lovely thing to see. My son has improved alot since joining nursery I can't be anymore prouder for him.

Always friendly and helpful when we asked questions it had any worries. My son absolutely loves going to nursery now and always comes home with a smile.
