A big thank you to the Management team, room staff, and kitchen staff for such a fab experience and we will miss coming.
My daughters speaks so highly of the staff and has made lots of friends. She leaves nursery so calm and content which is lovely.
My daughter (my first child) started at the baby unit at seven and a half months old and was the youngest one there at the time. Being a new mum I was super anxious about the whole process, but the staff are absolutely incredible, they made me feel so comfortable and are all genuine, caring people who have your child's best interests at heart. My daughter has been going there for 8 months now and I don't have one negative thing to say. They do really creative, interactive activities that help your child develop their skills and I love that they upload snapshots so you can see whilst at work. They consistently follow procedures (e.g. paperwork for acute medicines) which makes me feel safe as the parent. It is very clear my daughter loves this nursery and all the staff there and it has been a pleasure watching her grow and develop in such a positive environment.
Absolutely lovely nursery. All staff are friendly, regular communications are received. If you do have any issues or need to contact, a quick response is always received. I feel our child has developed amazingly in their care. Great support during potty training.
The Chestnut staff are kind, caring and take the time to really get to know the children. Our child is so happy there, she comes home bubbling with stories about the fun things she's been doing and has got a strong, positive relationship with her key worker. We are kept fully informed about her well-being and have complete confidence in leaving her in their care.
Absolutely fantastic nursery. My daughter is very happy there. All the staff are so friendly and caring and go above and beyond for all the children. They really know each child so well and it's lovely to see how happy my daughter is to go in with each member of staff. They have really helped with her toilet training too, being very patient and encouraging towards her. Couldn't ask for a better nursery for my daughter.
Chestnut Nursery are incredible. The staff are all incredibly welcoming and nurturing. They supported us with the transition wonderfully and we couldn’t have been happier. My child absolutely loved going to nursery and we will be eternally grateful for their kindness and support. My child has learnt so many incredible skills from his time at chestnut and their food is nutritious and wholesome. My child has created some wonderful memories and friends that will last him a life time. I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough, they will support you with compassion and understanding every step of the way. Thank you for everything Chestnut Team!
The staff are always friendly, my child loves going to nursery and always comes home happy. We get great feedback on mealtimes, activities, sleep and nappy changes. We really enjoy that the nursery provides details about the books they are reading and activities so we can continue on at home too.
My son loves nursery. When he started in September aged 2 years old he was shy and never really interacted with other children. He hardly said much. Now I love getting handovers to tell me how he was playing with others and the other fun activities he has been doing. He has a great key worker and he often wants to take things to show her. He has always been a fussy eater who only ate bland foods but the staff encourage him to try new things and although he is still very fussy he does at least eat the rice. With the online portal I can see how he is doing and they do regular reviews of his development which helps me see what I can do at home to help with his development. My son has developed so much in the short time he has been going to Chestnut Nursery Schools at Taverham and I am so glad he went to Chestnuts. We are going to miss the staff at Chestnut Nursery School at Taverham.
My son has been at Chestnut Nursery Schools @ Taverham since December. He settled so quickly and I can see he loves his time there. All the staff at the nursery are absolutely fantastic, they are really focused on my son's development and have a great relationship with him. I love the artwork that he brings home, and seeing all the activities they do on the app is really lovely.
He eats the meals provided very well.
Since my little boy started here he’s absolutely flourished! He’s only been there just over a month and I couldn’t be happier with choosing this nursery. The outdoors really made this nursery a top priority and all the staff are so lovely, welcoming and understanding. The bond my son has with his key worker is so lovely to see, he even says her name at home! I feel really safe and happy leaving my son here and this was my biggest concern for when he started anywhere. A massive thank you to you all, you do amazing!
Our daughter has been at this nursery for six weeks and she really enjoys it every time. She has very good connect with her key person and all the friendly staff which has made her feel settled and safe. She always looks forward to the next day of nursery to play with her friends some more. Only area to improve is meal options as not enough rotation of meals and choice should our little girl not like the menu.
Chestnut Nursery Schools @ Taverham have been absolutely fantastic for both me and my son. I was quite anxious as I'm sure most parents are when taking their children to childcare. All staff were very welcoming and ever so friendly. My son always comes out smiling. They handled the initial 'mummy leaving' tears very well and my son settled quickly. They always take the time to update you on collection about the type of day your little one has had. I was pleasantly surprised by this as with other providers I've found it's often rushed and difficult to get much information. I feel very informed and almost part of another family!
We are very happy with the nursery, I feel that my son is well cared for and happy whilst at the nursery. He has built strong bonds with multiple staff members and when collecting him staff always take the time to discuss his day. There also appears to be a great variety of activities to keep him entertained throughout the week.
Very good nursery, my son is very happy here. Good food was served, good educational setting. They have a lovely outdoor space which they use often and my son loves the outdoors. Always friendly and helpful and can see they really care about the children.
We are very happy with our experience at Chestnut Nursery in Taverham. Our son started attending two half days a week in September 2022. It took a while for him to settle in as we expected, but all the staff have been amazing, they took their time to encourage him in and were happy for me to check in (by phone) until he settled. Everyone there has been great with our son and he has built a really lovely relationship with his key worker. After only 3 months, our son looks forward to going to nursery and runs in each day without looking back.
I can not fault Chestnut Nursery. My little boy always seems to be happy when I pick him up and has learnt so much in a short amount of time he has been going. Seeing the pictures and updates always makes my day seeing him having fun! The staff are lovely, and my little boy has such a lovely bond with his key worker.
Couldn't be happier with all the staff at Chestnut Nursery in Taverham. The manager and my son's key worker have been amazing, just like all the other brilliant ladies that work there. My son started with little English knowledge and they have all been so caring and understanding towards him. I had a report on his progress just a little while after he started. Super happy to know where he is at. Always get a full report of what they have done, read and eaten during the day. He really enjoys going there and even asks to go every day because he has so much fun.
All the staff are so lovely and you can tell they really know and care for each child! My little ones love going and I feel I am kept really updated throughout the day via the app. There are lots of activities the children do and the staff are really supportive of any concerns.

Meet the Team (1)
I began my childcare career in 2012 after having my own family. I qualified with a Diploma Level 3 Early Years Educator. I first became a manager in 2015 in a small village pre-school where my own children attended. I have had a wealth of experience managing different nurseries, being able to help children develop and be fortunate enough to really make a difference to their families too. It is the small achievements the children make that reinstates every day why I chose this career. Seeing a child’s eyes light up when they realise they have built the tallest tower or remembered a nursery rhyme is very special. I have just begun my journey with Chestnut Nursery School and already feel part of a very unique family that always puts the child’s needs first.
