To support family engagement and peace of mind, Shooting Stars offers ParentCam—a secure CCTV system that allows parents to view their child’s activities in real time. The nursery app further strengthens communication by providing daily updates and insights into each child’s experiences and progress.
Outdoor learning is a key feature of the nursery. Children enjoy a spacious garden complete with a trike track and sensory shed, designed to encourage physical activity and imaginative play. Babies and Pretoddlers also benefit from their own dedicated outdoor areas, tailored to their developmental needs.
Nutritious hot meals and healthy snacks are freshly prepared each day in the on-site kitchen, promoting balanced eating habits and supporting children’s overall wellbeing.

My son has grown in leaps and bounds since attending Shooting Stars. He loves all members of staff, even those who do not work directly in his room, such as the chef and managers.
The nursery has been very professional and worked hard to keep the nursery Covid secure throughout the current pandemic to the degree that I have always felt comfortable sending him whatever the situation.
The children do different activities every day, and I especially love that they do outdoor play whatever the weather. The rooms are big and spacious. This was the cleanest, freshest nursery of all the nurseries we viewed before picking this one as it stood out a mile and continues to do so.

Since joining Shooting Stars Nursery Kings Norton a couple of years ago, my daughter has come on leaps and bounds in confidence thanks to the wonderful staff who have constantly made her feel comfortable and allowed her to take things at her own pace. Now in pre-school, she has a lovely relationship with both teachers and other children.
I have always felt comfortable being able to discuss any of her developments and felt well informed of her progress.
All the staff across the board are welcoming, friendly and professional, and we could not ask for a better experience from a nursery. We will be sad to leave when my daughter starts reception!

She absolutely loves her Shooting Stars family and is always bubbling with happiness when we pick her up having had such a lovely day. My little boy has been attending Shooting Starts for a few years now. I have had so much support from the nursery, and the care they give my little boy is phenomenal. Since Covid 19, we have had to shield due to my little boy awaiting a heart transplant. I’m happy to say we have returned back to nursery now where Covid safe measures have been put in place to keep him and all this children as safe as possible. Such a fun, loving nursery. Nothing is ever too much. I will really miss them when he starts school in Sept. We have been really blessed with excellent care .

Lovely nursery with great staff. I love getting updates through the app at the end of each day. Our son loves going to nursery and loves the staff. He's about to move rooms, and I know he'll miss his key worker in pre toddlers, but sure it won't be long before he makes a lovely bond with a new one.
Even though he currently only goes once a week, the staff make a point of trying to work with us on our son's development, keeping in touch with us and checking in about what's new development wise at home.

I would definitely recommend this nursery. My son has been going here since toddler room and is now in preschool, he loves it’s and loves his teachers. He is so clever and learnt so much since being there. I’m so glad I chose this nursery and gutted he will be leaving for school very soon.

My son attends Shooting Stars nursery and has settled in very well. He started in the toddler room and has moved onto preschool. The staff are very friendly and professional. Even through the pandemic, the nursery has made us feel safe and have stayed open. The staff have been extremely supportive and accommodated our schedule. The nursery premises are very clean and tidy and very well equipped. A wonderful outdoor space for children to enjoy various planned activities and play.
The nursery keeps parents updated on all the day to day activities through their app.

My little boy has been going to Shooting Stars nursery for almost 2-years, and I can honestly say, it was the best decision we made! I looked at 9 nursery’s in total, and none had a patch on this one, not only is the building and grounds lovely and spotlessly clean, the staff are all amazing and outstanding at what they do. They have worked wonders with my little boy, and I’m going to be very sad when he leaves this year. I have recommended this nursery to family and friends and will continue to recommend it even when my little one leaves. The parent cam in the room really helped me when leaving my son for the first couple of months as I was able to watch him and see what he was doing, it’s great peace of mind. I get updates every day with everything that’s happened that day while my little boy was in nursery and what he has been doing, even down to what they had for tea and how much of it he eats. I would like to thank all the staff at the nursery for doing an amazing job - A****!

We are so thankful to have found this nursery! After a recommendation from a friend with a child here we went for a look around and knew it was where we wanted to send our son. The facilities are great, with spacious and bright rooms, big windows for the children to see the world from, a huge garden with lots of different areas, it's a lovely place to be. The staff are brilliant and attentive, they really get to know each child. To see our boy settle in, make friends and grow in confidence has been amazing!

Lovely staff who work really hard to ensure that the children are cared for and that they progress in their learning. They go above and beyond to provide excellent care, and we appreciate everything they do to make our child feel so happy to go to Shooting Stars. Thank you.

My son has been coming to this nursery since turning 3 and is now due to leave to start reception in September. I can not recommend this nursery enough. All the staff are amazing and so friendly. My son is a completely different child now after their support and help with additional care that was needed. Nothing is too much for the staff. The nursery is amazing inside and outside. There is many different resources available to the children. The garden is fantastic and a great space with all sorts. For a child who has Sensory issues the mud kitchen was very much a no go area, to begin with, but with the amazing staff, he is now more than happy to go in! Thank you to everyone at Shooting Stars Nurseries at Kings Norton for helping shape my little boy into a more confident and happy boy.
If only all nurseries were like Shooting Stars!

Shooting Stars at Kings Norton has been absolutely amazing for my son who started at three years. The staff are attentive and supportive, their log is updated regularly to show what the kids are up to. Nothing is too much to ask of the staff. Throughout the covid crisis, they have been fabulous in adapting to a stressful situation and making sure the children feel safe and secure. My little boy often comes home and likes to talk about his day in preschool. I feel that he is well looked after and is encouraged to do as many things as possible independently. A good range of activities and learning opportunities are delivered. The food is great and I am updated every day on how well my little one has eaten. Honestly do not think we could have picked a better nursery for our son to attend.

My boy was at Shooting Stars last year and then went onto private school only to find he missed the staff at Shooting Stars so this year (2020) my boy returned. The fun and loving teaching methods at Shooting Stars in preparation for school are better than any preschool.

My boy was at Shooting Stars last year and then went onto private school only to find he missed the staff at Shooting Stars so this year (2020) my boy returned. The fun and loving teaching methods at Shooting Stars in preparation for school are better than any preschool. The staff are without a doubt, the very best. From one (once) anxious-mom to another, I can confidently say that for the five hours my son is at nursery, I have no concerns for my child. There’s nothing like collecting my son from nursery and seeing a beaming smile!
Overall, a very loving and caring environment with approachable staff.

Our daughter has been going to nursery at Shooting Stars since she was 8 months old and has loved it. As parents, we have always felt comfortable and confident in the care that she has received. The fact that we have a camera that we can use to see our daughter is useful but after the first few weeks, we have used it infrequently as the thorough updates we get during pick up have always assured us that she is well looked after. We know our daughter loves going to the nursery as every time we walk or drive past she gets excited and tells us all the things she loves to do there 'friends, toys, garden'. We especially love how often the kids are encouraged to play outside and have experiences they wouldn't at home. The structured play is also something that has proved beneficial.
We have recommended the nursery to friends who have also had great experiences.

Fariha joined Shooting Stars with over 15 years of experience in the early years sector, including 12 years in management roles. Her leadership journey has seen her guide multiple nurseries to success, including achieving two Outstanding Ofsted ratings and transforming an Inadequate setting to Good within just three months.
Fariha is passionate about creating calm, engaging, and consistent environments where children feel safe, happy, and ready to learn. Her approach is child-led and rooted in connection, consistency, and care — values she brings to every aspect of her practice. She is known for her warm, hands-on leadership style and her commitment to building confident, collaborative staff teams.
Outside of work, Fariha enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing at home. She has a love for cosy evenings, interior styling, and a good Sunday afternoon show.

Steph joined Shooting Stars in 2022, bringing with her over a decade of experience in the Early Years sector. Her journey began in 2008 as an apprentice, and she has since progressed through a wide range of roles including practitioner, room leader, deputy manager, nursery manager, senior manager, and now area manager. Steph has held leadership positions in Early Years management since 2011, consistently demonstrating a strong focus on quality improvement, staff development, and inspirational leadership.
She is particularly passionate about musicality and supporting strong language development in young children, and she enjoys embedding music and rhythm into daily routines to enhance communication and engagement. Steph also has a keen interest in designing stimulating and inspiring learning environments that nurture curiosity and creativity.
In her current role as area manager, Steph is committed to empowering staff to develop their own individual and visionary leadership skills. She believes in fostering a culture of reflective practice, collaboration, and continuous growth across all settings she supports.
Outside of work, Steph enjoys walking, spending time with family and friends, and making the most of holidays—whether relaxing or exploring new destinations.

Kully began her journey with Shooting Stars Nurseries in September 2014 as the Nursery Manager of the newly opened Wolverhampton setting. In 2022, she progressed into a strategic role, joining the Area Management Team as a Strategic Development Manager.
Her career in childcare began as a Level 2 Apprentice, followed by the completion of her Level 3 qualification. Since 2004, Kully has held a variety of leadership roles, including Room Leader in both Pre-School and Under 2’s, Deputy Manager, and Nursery Manager—spending 16 of those years in management. These experiences have shaped her deep understanding of early years education and operational leadership.
Kully is particularly passionate about the development of children under two, with a strong focus on building secure attachments and nurturing environments that support emotional well-being and early development. She also brings extensive expertise in Health & Safety, SEND, and Safeguarding, which are central to her practice and leadership.
A key focus of Kully’s role is supporting the growth of the early years workforce. She is committed to empowering staff through continuous professional development, helping them build confidence and fulfilment in their roles. Wellbeing is at the heart of her approach—she strives to foster a positive, supportive workplace for teams and a safe, inspiring space for children.
At Shooting Stars Nurseries, Kully plays a vital role in welcoming new team members through New Employee Workshops and mentoring apprentices throughout their training journey, helping shape the next generation of early years professionals.
Outside of work, Kully enjoys spending quality time with her family and attending football matches as a proud supporter of her local club. She also loves exploring new cities, dining out, and meeting new people.
