Shooting Stars Nurseries at Kings Norton

I have two girls at Shooting Stars in Kings Norton; they have both attended from when they were 9-months-old babies. They absolutely love it. The staff are so caring and professional; they really do go above and beyond for the children. The girls have made such good emotional, social and educational progress since being there. The facilities are lovely, especially the outdoor area. My eldest leaves this summer; she will definitely miss it!

My daughter loves coming to nursery and has made loads of new friends. The staff are welcoming and friendly and put lots of effort into the activities and learning for the children. The garden is fab, and lunch always smells yummy! Would highly recommend.

Our son moved to Shooting Stars from another nursery in June this year. At first, he was very unsettled, but the staff did a brilliant job of welcoming him, comforting him during the day and making sure he was ok. After a couple of weeks, there were no tears at drop off, and he has settled brilliantly.

I am so glad we moved him to this nursery. In the short time, he has attended, his development has come on hugely. The staff are all warm, friendly and really care about the children, and I feel very satisfied that he is well looked after and loves the days he spends there. Our son has a medical condition, which means he just needs to be watched that extra bit closely, and the staff have been accommodating, taken it seriously and are more than happy to call me to keep me posted if anything happens. The facilities are also great, huge garden and lovely bright and airy rooms with lots of engaging toys and books.

I could not recommend this nursery more!

The best decision I ever made was to send my son to this nursery. He joined when he was one year old and graduated in August when he had just turned 4. He built a great relationship with all members of staff and absolutely loved going to the nursery. He became a confident boy who has had no problems at all transitioning to School in September. I’ve just had his first parents evening, and the teachers are so impressed with his handwriting and Maths skills, his phonics and the way he’s settled into reception. Despite him being one of the youngest, he’s one of the most advanced in the class, and it’s because he had the best start at Shooting Stars, Kings Norton. You really cannot ask for any more from a nursery, and if we were to do it all again, we would pick this nursery without a shadow of a doubt.

We have always been impressed with the development of our son at Shooting Stars Kings Norton and are looking forward to enrolling our daughter soon. The staff are friendly and communicate well with our family. Recently, our son was taken unwell, and the staff handled the situation well. Due to sites restrictions, I cannot mention names, but we are so grateful.

Our son always looks forward to attending nursery (which is always a good sign), and he always seems to have an action-packed day on site!

Lovely nursery. My son has been attending for the last 2-years. Great premises, especially big secure enclosed garden at the back. The kids play outside most days, which my son enjoys a lot. The staff is caring and professional. Regular observations with photos uploaded on the app, you can see the variety of activities the staff does with the kids. The daily diary also uploaded on the app. Nursery cam to check on your child when at work, which is lovely. The other day I could see him having loads of fun dancing to “shark” with his teachers and friends.

Shooting Stars is a wonderful nursery. My son started here in September 2020 after a decent period of his first year in lockdown, but he has adjusted so well to nursery and is coming on leaps and bounds in his development. The daily reports and pictures are great, and they do such a range of activities with the children. I feel completely at ease leaving him here for the day, knowing he is safe, happy and will be suitably tired out in the evening for a good nights sleep! Their procedures during Covid were excellent, and always kept us fully informed of any (rare) cases within the nursery.

My 1-year-old twins joined Shooting Stars nursery in April and like many, they’ve had little to no time with anyone due to Covid. I was so anxious about how they would settle and react, and honestly, I cannot believe how amazing they have settled. This is down to all the staff at Shooting Stars. The twins have really come out of their shells and have warmed to all the staff from the outset. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, take the time out to tell you how the children have got on that day. I honestly cannot praise Shooting Stars enough and would highly recommend this nursery. I feel so relaxed and at ease leaving the twins here and honestly have fallen in love with the place just as much as the twins have. Thank you to all the staff here.

This is a great nursery, and my daughter absolutely loves it. Her learning and skills have developed greatly and she enjoys going.

All the staff are great, helpful and always provide updates on how your childs day has been.

Shooting Stars is a fantastic nursery. As soon as I walked into the building, I knew I wanted my son to go to Shooting Stars. My son felt at ease straight away and so did I, thanks to all the staff. They are so friendly, supportive and wonderful with my son. I've seen a massive change in his confidence since being at Shooting Stars. They are always doing different activities, and very reassuringly, they update us daily with what they've done and eaten. Couldn't recommend this nursery enough. Were just sad he's leaving soon to start school. Thank you, Shooting Stars!

My daughter just started there. We have been really happy with the way the staff are, the way they handle everything. The nursery is well organised, and I get to see her pictures of what she has done on the app. I feel fully satisfied.

I have the highest praise for Kings Norton Shooting Stars Nursery. I knew from the moment I went to view the nursery that it was where I wanted to send my daughter. The rooms are all exceptionally clean, which was a must for me. The staff are so welcoming, approachable and professional and have been hugely instrumental in my child’s increased confidence and development. I feel confident that my daughter is well looked after when I drop her off each morning. One thing that really impresses me is how the way the nursery communicates with the parents - whether it be at the door when I drop off or pick up my daughter or on the app. Everything is documented and personalised, so I know exactly the kind of day my daughter has had. I would recommend this nursery 100% to anyone looking to send their child here.

Our daughter has been going to Shooting Stars for 2 years now, and I couldn’t praise the nursery and everyone who works there more. From the moment we visited for an open day, we knew this was where we would feel happy sending our daughter and where she would also thrive and develop. Our daughter is excited every day to go to nursery and comes out full of smiles and can’t wait to tell us how much fun she’s had. The staff have made so much effort to build amazing relationships with her, and it’s putting our minds at rest knowing she feels safe and happy where she is. We have access to an app that is updated daily on her progress and access to cameras to see how she’s doing during the day, which was great in those first few weeks of starting nursery and settling that ‘mum guilt’. The nursery itself is also outstanding, and the facilities and activities for the children are fantastic.

The nursery is second to none. It is bright, modern and clean. My daughter is delighted every morning when she sees where we are going and always comes home in a great move. Their menus are healthy, they're always doing something fun and educational. The staff are so lovely too. Couldn't fault the nursery at all. Also, we love that there's access to watch on the camera (it's only for parents/main caregivers), it's lovely to watch her play and just generally have a great time!

It is a slightly more expensive option, but I don't mind paying that when we have peace of mind of all the above.

My little one has been attending Shooting Stars Kings Norton since he was 12 months old. Working in education myself, I appreciate what a good early years setting does for a child, and I can't recommend this setting enough! I'll be sad when my little one moves onto school.

My son has been attending Shooting Stars Kings Norton for nearly 2-years from when he was around 10-months-old, and I honestly couldn't be happier. They have put me at ease leaving him there from the first day he started; they've really helped him come out of his shell. My son is a vegetarian, and the range of food he has is also brilliant. The staff are amazing, and my son talks about them at home all the time, so I know he loves it. I really couldn't ask for a better nursery for him.

My daughter started the nursery in September 2020. She is immediately familiar with the teachers and other children. One of the things I like the most is because my daughter before she started nursery, did not eat anything, while now, she has started to eat almost everything. Teachers are absolutely very loving and kind. I recommended Shooting Stars nursery 100%.

My son has grown in leaps and bounds since attending Shooting Stars. He loves all members of staff, even those who do not work directly in his room, such as the chef and managers.

The nursery has been very professional and worked hard to keep the nursery Covid secure throughout the current pandemic to the degree that I have always felt comfortable sending him whatever the situation.

The children do different activities every day, and I especially love that they do outdoor play whatever the weather. The rooms are big and spacious. This was the cleanest, freshest nursery of all the nurseries we viewed before picking this one as it stood out a mile and continues to do so.
