Overall Experience
Shooting Stars - Kings Norton is a wonderful nursery with kind caring staff that have truly encouraged my son to grow in confidence, learn new skills, improve his vocabulary and understanding through games and fun. He started in November 2018 and has loved every minute making friends with children and staff, personal thank you to his named worker, he has missed you so much over the past couple of months but he will never forget you. To another member of staff, he always talks about your science experiment and having lots of messy play! Also for looking after him when he’s fallen over in the playground or out of the classroom chair.

To the managers, thank you for your support during his time at nursery, he will miss you all. And to all the other ladies that have worked with my son, thank you - you know who you are. Thanks again.

My two daughters attend this nursery. The facilities are great and all the staff are so lovely and have built great relationships with my daughters. I feel very at ease leaving my children here and I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone.

My one daughter is a very fussy eater at home but at nursery she eats most things and really enjoys the chef's cooking.

Thank you for your review and recommendation, Gemma, we are delighted that your daughters are happy here with us at nursery and have bonded so well with their carers. Many parents are amazed at how different a fussy eater can be in the nursery environment, and we will be sure to give compliments...

This nursery is brilliant, the environment is great and the staff are excellent, very high quality and professional care is provided by them, for the children.
My daughter is now two years old but started at Shooting Stars Nursery in Feb/March 2020, she has been welcomed into the nursery family with open arms and settled well. (Twice due to COVID-19).
The nursery app is brilliant and keeps parents up to date with the child’s individual development at nursery as well as being able to record as a parent what you do at home, regular information is also given about what is happening at nursery.

My daughter's development has and is benefiting by attending this nursery and I have and will highly recommend them to other parents thinking about the nursery for their child/children.

Thank you for your review and recommendation, Chantelle, we are delighted that your daughter has had such a positive transition to Shooting Stars and settled so well, despite the challenging circumstances of COVID-19 and essentially, having to start nursery twice! Shooting Stars is the most amazing nursery and I could not recommend it any more. My son and daughter both attend and they always have the best time. The staff are second to none, they are so welcoming and you really feel like they have a genuine care for your child. Both my children have come on so much since attending. The activities they do with the children are amazing and the actual nursery is always spotless along with the amazing garden. I feel very lucky to have my children attend such a wonderful setting.

My daughter started here in January when she was 7 months old. I was concerned she wouldn't enjoy being away from me but she has loved going to nursery from her first day.
She has bonded with her key worker and always comes home happy. The camera feature is a great addition as I can check in when I'm at work and I always get a complete breakdown of what she did that day.

The facilities are great and the activities varied so she is constantly entertained. She also has some great meals at nursery (normally eating better than I do!!)

My little boy started Shooting Stars in October 2019, after I took the decision to move him from another nursery. I was initially concerned at how he would adjust to the change and settling into a new nursery, however the staff were amazing and it didn't take him long to form a bond with his key worker and the other members of the team and settle in.
The facilities are fantastic and the nursery is lovely and very clean, there is a large outdoor garden area and the staff ensure children get time outside whatever the weather.
The Nursery have a parental webcam which I can log into throughout the day to have a quick look at what my son's up to, which is lovely. They also update the parent app with my son's activities and observations during the day, which can be viewed.
The management team are lovely and welcoming and will help with anything.

I am extremely happy that I chose this nursery for my son and would highly recommend!

My 2 year old son started at this nursery for the first time and it was very difficult for us to be separated as we were together all the time since he was born. I was also worried about his communication and language barrier as English is not his first language. But staff was really helpful, caring and friendly. I got a lot of support from all of them, the manager and one certain member of staff were supporting me as a mum while the rest of the staff was caring and soothing my son. Thankfully he settled in very well after a few weeks and loves his nursery so much, he mentions it every day. I really appreciate it.

The facilities are brand new and very clean, food is very good, my son is a picky eater but usually he eats well in the nursery. The cam and the app are quite useful to see what’s he doing there and what developmental things he has done. He started to talk a lot both in English and his own language and being more independent. We are really pleased.

Thanks a lot to everyone, I really recommend it.

Fantastic new location. Clean and very well resourced. Super welcoming staff and very caring staff. As early years professional myself, I am extremely happy with the care and attention my little one receives and the communication between parent and carer is excellent. The parent cam is a brilliant addition that all nurseries should have, and the app for feeding back about the day is easy to use.

My son started Shooting Stars Nursery in January 2019 and quickly came to love it. He does three half days but would go every day if he could. The staff have such a great rapport with the children and parents alike. It’s such a welcoming nursery, you feel like a part of the family.
The facilities are amazing, lots of beautiful wooden toys, lots of free play time, but also plenty of structured enjoyable learning activities. My son is 3 and a half and I’ve been so impressed with how encouraging his caregivers are at promoting self-care. Since being at nursery, he has become so much more confident and self-sufficient for his age. The garden is lovely and I love how the staff ensure the children get daily time outside whatever the weather.

Overall, I am so pleased that I chose this nursery for my son. It’s lovely to drop him off in the morning and leave with complete confidence in the staff.
