I think this nursery is fantastic. Very friendly and a great place to take a child. My daughter has learnt so much from being there and can't wait to go back the next day. Staff are amazing!
Parents are treated with respect and listened to. The food is healthy and all clients taken into consideration. In the event of having a second child, I wouldn't think twice about sending them to USW Treforest.
The nursery is of an excellent standard. All of the staff are amazing and treat my child and every other child with absolute wonder and brilliance. I come to work each day safe in the knowledge that Acorns, the Management team are providing the best care we could ask for - score 20/10.
I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone! I have never left my daughter before so I was extremely nervous about her starting nursery but everyone that works here is so welcoming and reassuring, they are all so kind and caring. My little girl has now been with Acorns at USW Treforest for 1 month and she loves it! She always comes home with beautiful pieces of artwork and tells me lovely stories about her day. Their Forest School is also very cool and my little girl loves being able to explore and play in such a fabulous environment.
I simply have to speak about what a marvellous establishment exists here in this University campus. I was in the area to visit my great granddaughter who attends the University of South Wales, and to see my own Uncle's headstone, God rest his soul, after leaving the area to fight in 1915. I volunteered to collect her son last Thursday and was greeted by the assistant manager who was so very polite, and after I gave the correct password she escorted me through the lovely clean entrance way and into the dining room where I was absolutely astonished to see these little tykes tucking into Thai green curry of all things! I saw the staff gleefully helping them with their meal, and I was shown to the Conifer room where my young lad was having a sleep. I was going to ask of the significance of the trees chosen as names but decided against. Nonetheless, my great granddaughter cannot praise this organisation enough so this review is very much warranted.
I went to pick my niece up one day from the nursery and I was happy to see that the member of the staff asked me who I was and then asked me for a password before I was able to pick my niece up. Which showed that they have really good security at the nursery. The staff in the willow room were really friendly and welcoming and informed me how my niece day had gone.
In a few months time, I'm going to be a father for the first time and I will be looking for a nursery to put my child in and I will not have any problem leaving my child with the wonderful staff at the USW nursery.
My stepdaughter has been attending the nursery for the last two months. The staff have been really accommodating and she loves going to nursery to see all her friends and key workers. All staff at the nursery are very friendly and welcoming and take time to reassure us that my stepdaughter will have a lovely day. The management team has been outstanding and are able to answer any question we may have. The staff in the willow room are always really friendly and welcoming and informed me how my stepdaughters day has gone. The other day my wife or myself were unable to pick up my stepdaughter from nursery, so we rang the nursery to inform them that someone different will be picking her up. The person on the phone asked if the person knew the password we had given, as they wouldn't be able to pick her up without it. When my father picked up my stepdaughter he was very impressed with the nurseries security procedures that they had in place.
My nephew started at the nursery last month. I went to visit the nursery with my brother and my nephew as he wanted my opinion because I work in a school as a nursery nurse. I was very impressed when I arrived at the nursery. The manager was very welcoming and was dealing with a parent at the time of our arrival. She asked a member of staff that was closed by if they could start to show us around the nursery and she would join us when she had finished dealing with the parent's enquiry. As we were shown around every member of staff talked to my nephew and was very warm and welcoming. Since my nephew has started at the nursery I have picked him up a few times and he never wants to come home because he is having to much fun. The staff are always welcoming and take time out to talk to me about by nephews days and answer any question I may have.
I was apprehensive about leaving my little girl at nursery In the beginning, but after the first couple of weeks it’s like leaving her with family!
She loves the staff and often talks about them at home.
There is always a lovely atmosphere, warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend!
My son loves going to crèche. He always enjoys telling us what he has been up to. He always mentions staff which reassures me he is comfortable.
When my daughter started at Acorns, she was very attached to mum and found it hard to settle with other people. The girls in the baby toom made sure they got to know her routine to help her settle quickly. By her third day, my daughter was very happy to be left in their care.
She is now three and absolutely thriving.
Thanks to the efforts of the staff and the stimulating activities the children undertake, she is social, happy and as bright as a button.
I truly believe that my daughter will have an easy transition into school because of her time at creche although she will miss her friends and the staff at USW Acorns.
Very happy with the standard of the nursery. My child is very happy there. Staff are friendly and approachable.
The staff give my little boy so much attention and care that it's obvious to see on his happy face when I drop and pick him up.
Keep up the hard work!
Always happy staff, ready to talk and discuss the multitude of activities they have done today, upcoming events and special days.
Could not be happier with this nursery.
They are so understanding and really engaging with the children.
My little one has excelled since attending this nursery and has learnt so much. The activities they do really help the children learn key skills but they have fun at the same time. Excellent nursery, I couldn't fault it.
Management is excellent.
Our little one is very happy at the nursery.
My son is happy and trusting towards them which gives me peace of mind and happy to leave him. I am happy with the environment in which my son is left and up until now, am very happy with his care and well being.
My granddaughter has improved immensely since attending Acorns at USW. Her speech, concentration, gross motor skills have come on in leaps and bounds. She has had a problem with her skin and all the wonderful staff have been so supportive in offering advice and helping to change her diet. Any little query is no trouble.
I have already recommended and they have taken up places at this nursery. Really pleased with staff and facilities. Can’t wait for my son to use the forest school too.
