Building Blocks Nursery provides a happy and safe environment for all children to play and learn in and takes great care in providing high standards of childcare and education for children aged three months to five years.

The large detached building provides ample space for children to experience a variety of activities and explore the many facilities on offer.

The nursery has a range of qualified and experienced staff who are all either trained to NNEB/NVQ 3 or equivalent, or are working towards this qualification. They also pride themselves on the number of senior staff with Level 5 and 6 qualifications (degree level) who work well to lead the team.

Thanks to this nursery, my little brother had been able to go to the toilet by himself, which I am very proud of. He started at this nursery a year ago, and he has come such a long way in that time. He's been talking more and has been able to use kitchen utensils better which is great.

I had an unsatisfactory service from a previous nursery, so I was anxious about childcare for my daughter who has a medical diagnosis. Building Blocks captured my trust and confidence. We had regular SEN meetings with professionals to monitor my daughter's progress and put in place actions to could
help her develop her skills ready for mainstream school. They are prompt in raising any concerns/reporting any incidents. They update tapestry with comments and photographs so I can see what activities my daughter has taken part in.
Not only do they take part in internal activities but also take the children are external trips. My daughter has a good rapport the staff who are patient and attentive. The staff show a genuine interest in my daughter's needs.
My daughters favourite facilities are the sensory room and playground. The security policy makes sure all children are safeguarded appropriately. I am extremely pleased with the support that building blocks have provided my daughter and family.

Before sending my daughter to a nursery I was very nervous to leave her with strangers. But all of the girls at building blocks have been so welcoming and have become her friends. She has been there for the last year and loves it. She's learnt so much and has so much fun, I am so happy to leave her
there and completely trust every one of them.

This nursery is amazing and we couldn't thank them enough for what they have done for our son, he is autistic and if it wasn't for the staff at the nursery I don't think he would be where he is today they have helped him develop in so many ways.
All the staff are amazing and kind and are always happy
to help.

Excellent nursery, my child enjoys his time here and is developing very well. They have lots of great activities for my child to get involved in and keep me updated through the tapestry. The staff are all great and very helpful.

Job Title: Managing Director Joined: 2002

As the Managing Director, I work full time to oversee all three of the Building Blocks Nursery branches and work closely with the branch managers. I have worked in private daycare for over 26 years and feel passionately about ensuring the service we provide is of a high quality. I have my NNEB diploma and a degree in early years childhood studies. I also have my level 5 management qualification.
