Shoreham Day Nursery & Pre-school

Our daughter joined Shoreham Day Nursery and Pre-school at 14 months. We viewed many nurseries, but received the warmest welcome on our first visit here from all the staff. Since then, our daughter enjoyed coming to nursery every single day. It has spacious play areas inside and a beautiful big garden open to enjoy throughout the day. Food is always cooked fresh and delicious, as my daughter would say ‘more please’. Staff members are very friendly and professional, always offering their time to discuss our daughter’s day at pick-ups. They truly became nursery family who we will always be grateful for. You have been fabulous! Thank you for hours of fun and learning that our daughter enjoyed each day and for always being so supportive also to us parents. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My son absolutely loves going to nursery and the girls are absolutely amazing with him! I couldn’t imagine him going anywhere else; especially after going to one before and having worries about it. His care there. I have no worries and am always happy to leave him there.

My nephew currently attends the nursery and I have seen a huge change in him since starting. The staff are always very friendly and nothing is too much of an ask. My nephew has a lovely connection with the staff and he likes to tell me all about the things they have done with his friends. I am currently pregnant with my first child and have no hesitation that my child will be coming here in the future. The manager has already had conversations with me regarding my child attending and has already offered us help and reassurance.

Shoreham Day Nursery and Pre-school have gone above and beyond for my son! The nursery has a large, beautiful garden and a very wide variety of resources and toys. They have supported me and my son through any developmental concerns I have had, and I cannot explain how much of a difference this has made. The manager always has time to listen and support with any changes and the staff are truly invested in the welfare of every child. The meals provided are healthy and interesting. My son's speech and language skills have improved more than I could have ever imagined and that’s thanks to all the hard work and patience of the staff.

As a first-time Mum, Shoreham Day Nursery & Pre-school have made me feel really at ease. They have been so attentive from our very first visit and continue to be so, always asking if anything has changed in my son's routine and calling us if they ever have a query. All meals are cooked fresh, and so far, my son hasn't turned anything down! They are committed to sustainability, using organic toys, minimal plastic and recycling where possible. I feel that they are very invested in the happiness and welfare of the children they look after. My son (and I!) have settled in very well. Many thanks, all.

My two-year-old son, who is a lockdown baby, started in January doing two half days a week; he was struggling with his speech, and he also doesn’t like crowds of other children. He has come out of his shell whilst being at Shoreham Day Nursery and Pre-school, and the staff and manager always keep me up to date on his progress with his speech (which is coming along amazingly) and how he is finally making friends with other children and playing with them instead of sitting playing by himself. I and my partner are incredibly happy with the manager who went through the process of helping us with the registration process and the three-year funding. Thank you to both the manager and the staff for their outstanding care and support.

My son has been attending the nursery for two years now. He has additional needs and finds it hard to express himself and be in groups with others. The nursery staff have always gone above and beyond to make him feel safe, happy and secure to be able to express himself and find the courage to get involved in group activities. The manager has always been so supportive towards his needs and always allowed whatever routine was needed for my son to be able to ease into his nursery day with zero fuss. They often have various different activities, which have helped my son's speech and language abilities when he’s not confident in trying to say new words and initiate conversations with others. I don’t think I could recommend this nursery or the staff enough!

Both my girls came to the nursery at a young age. My youngest is now in the toddler den/room; she loves the staff that work at the nursery and has made some lovely friends. The staff have really taken their time to know my daughter's likes/dislikes and interests and have supported her in meeting all of her developmental needs. My daughter has formed loving relationships with the staff, and I feel at ease when I leave her there on morning drop-off. The nursery is very much child-focused and provides them with different learning activities/opportunities, inside and outside. Thanks to the girls for making my girls feel so comfortable and happy - you really have made a positive impact on both of our girls.

My over-attached little girl started doing two mornings a week In January. Since the moment we walked through the doors, they have been nothing but welcoming and accommodating to me and my daughter. The baby snug team made an effort to get to know myself and my child to make the settling-in period as easy as possible for us both. I’m happy to know that my child has a strong bond with her key person and that I’m leaving her in safe hands. Although my child is in the baby snug, she has created bonds with staff members from the other rooms and looks forward to seeing them. Management has gone above and beyond to ensure that I am happy and that my child is safe.

Well, where do I start? I can't thank this nursery enough, I had to start work last September when my son turned 2 years old, I was very concerned with him starting due to him being a lockdown child I was reassured my son would fit in absolutely fine and this was the case! I can't thank the two managers enough for all the support they've given me and my son, he absolutely loves going to nursery, also last week the two managers took time out to help me apply for the three year funding, overall 5 stars to the nursery! Thanks for all your support.

This team are amazing! From management to bank staff, their communication from the start of the day to the end of the day is second to none, and their knowledge of the children in the individual rooms is great. My daughter absolutely loves going to the nursery; she even comes home talking about them and missing them when she is not there. One lady has done an amazing job since she started, and I've seen the team go from strength to strength.

I highly recommend this nursery. All the staff are absolutely brilliant and always listen to your troubles and give you so much support.

Both my girls came to the nursery at a young age, my eldest is now in school but loved coming here, and my youngest is now going into the preschool room; she loves the staff that work at the nursery and has made some lovely friends. I have never had any issues with either of my girls at the nursery, and they settled so quickly and transitioned well to other rooms when they moved up. I have recommended a few others to the nursery as I know their children will enjoy it, and the parents will feel completely at ease with leaving them here. We couldn’t be happier with the care and attention that both of our children have been given whilst at Shoreham nursery and preschool. Over the last five years, we have seen the nursery go from strength to strength; the team have taken great care to develop both the inside and outside spaces to ensure it encourages the children’s interests. Our children are different characters, but both have been able to flourish and thrive in their own unique way. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this nursery for your child.

Wonderful nursery, excellent communication, and a wide range of meals and snacks for my little one to enjoy. She has a fabulous day, and the photo updates are wonderful to receive throughout the day. The staff are easy to talk to and are great at reassuring me when my daughter started attending. There is a wide variety of toys, including a great outside play area. A cute little nap area is the perfect place for my daughter to have her daytime naps. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough; her every need is met. She enjoys messy play and plays with water and all the musical toys. I feel very comfortable leaving my daughter here for the day, and she has such a lovely time.

Happy, welcoming staff have made such a difference to a highly emotional, insecure little boy currently in my care. They are patient and understanding. He is now thriving and looks forward to attending three times a week.

My son started attending this nursery a few weeks back. The separation anxiety was particularly hard for him, and I also was leaving him in tears. The reassurance from the staff was amazing. Sneaking me in at pick up time to show me, my son, happily playing and looking more than content. It's a great team. I highly recommend

The best nursery! My son has the best days here and is thriving! The staff have helped with his confidence, speech, social skills and understanding. The staff are caring, supportive, friendly and just amazing. From the moment I drop my son off, I have no worries about his happiness or safety whilst in their care. Drop-offs are so easy when you have the friendliest faces! The manager is just amazing - you can tell she genuinely enjoys her role and wants the best for every single child. Two other ladies are also a big part of how well my child is doing.

My daughter loves coming to the nursery. She really came out of her shell as soon as she started going. The staff are amazing there, and she has built a very special bond with the manager in the toddler room, so much so; she calls it the manager's school, instead of nursery. She runs in all excited for her day without even a goodbye to me. I can relax knowing she's well looked after and having lots of fun.
