Monkey Puzzle Bromley is situated in a light-filled Grade-II listed building within walking distance of both Bromley North and South! With an interior purposely designed to provide a home-from-home environment ideal for children to learn and develop through play!

Children start in Explorers doing just that in a spacious room filled with beautiful resources to encourage little minds to grow. Discoverers follow with their fully equipped room including child-sized toilets and drinking fountain. Downstairs are the Investigators who have a fabulous time investigating the world around them through play and adult led activities.

Inventors is the last stop for children before school. School Readiness is what this room is all about with an Early Years Teacher at the forefront of their learning.

Outside is no different with a purpose-built playground offering opportunities for all areas of learning to be extended across the age ranges.

There is an inclusive and multi-cultural nursery focused on providing the best care to each individual child. An experienced staff team are employed who are highly skilled and passionate about what they do.

All meals are cooked on site by the fully trained Chef so they can cater for any dietary needs you may have.

I’ve been incredibly pleased with all of the staff at this nursery. I was very anxious when our daughter was going to start nursery, but the 2-week transition sessions really helped.
Our daughter loves her time there already and has made close relationships with the staff. Staff provide lots of updates
when we arrive for collection, and also fill in helpful daily diaries which show the food, drink and sleeping times etc. My only problem is the use of two separate apps. The LJ Parents app does not send notifications at all, so we have to manually check every now and then to see what’s been added. Key messages are then shared via a separate app, so we’re checking two apps which is quite annoying. My ask would be for all correspondence to switch over to the Family app asap.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this nursery and I would like to thank everyone for their great care and support so far.

We’re very happy with the care and attention our daughter receives at the nursery. She really enjoys going there. There are a lot of activities being offered in terms of learning and entertainment and the children appreciate the variety and fun.

I cannot recommend Monkey Puzzle highly enough. When you leave your children in someone’s care you truly want them to have a home-from-home experience, surrounded by people who are as interested and passionate about their well-being and development as you are. Monkey Puzzle really is that nursery. I
made the difficult decision to move my daughter from a nursery where she was very unhappy - there were tears at drop off and she would wake up begging not to go. From her first induction at Monkey Puzzle, she made an instant connection with her key worker and other members of the team and she has flourished. She talks so fondly of the adults she is with, tells me stories about her friends and, so far, no tears at drop off. I could not be more relieved and am so grateful to everyone for making us all feel so welcome. We love spending time at pick-up watching her play and talking with the fantastic members of staff. We really could not be happier, thank you!

Our son has been attending Monkey Puzzle in Bromley since he was 8 months old (he’s now 3+). During this time we have seen his confidence grow, his social skills develop, and we love that he’s exposed to healthy foods cooked on site by the amazing chefs. It truly feels like when he is at nursery, it
is a home away from home. They are willing to adapt your routines around e.g. naps and support with potty training. The team are very caring and there are extracurricular activities like yoga, French and sports that he loves! As a working mom, I love the efficiency on the administration side and I also love that the team (both management and room staff) are always available to talk to me if I have any questions or concerns.

Our little boy has flourished at Monkey Puzzle. His literacy and numeracy have been supported well and he has developed good social skills when mixing with other children in well-coordinated activities. We are impressed with the range and depth of activities introduced at the nursery and the continuing
interest to expand accreditations and welcome further opportunities for learning, ie, sign language and foreign languages and organised sports. It has been possibly the most difficult period due to the Coronavirus, but Monkey Puzzle has provided a stable and normal environment whilst reaffirming cleanliness and good health throughout. We recognise the work that Monkey Puzzle staff put into our little boy's development and value their efforts.

We love this nursery! Monkey Puzzle has kept open throughout the pandemic ensuring that our children are safe we could not feel more confident with the care for our child. Communication is excellent, the staff are lovely and friendly. My son loves it here!

Wonderful nursery with very caring and supportive key workers. Our daughter is very happy there - looking forward to nursery every morning and putting her arms out to the girls when she arrives each morning. I can go to work and am confident she is safe and happy all day long

I am so happy and impressed with Monkey Puzzle Bromley. My older son is now in Pre-School and my younger one is in the toddler room. They both absolutely love going there. The things they learn in Pre-School seems to be so advanced! I sometimes get a surprise with how much knowledge my 3-year-old comes
back with! I feel that the team at the Monkey Puzzle Bromley seems so close and they all look after everyone. Very happy place filled with fantastic people!

Monkey Puzzle Bromley has radically changed in the past few years. When it was first opened, it was more a small family place, where everybody knows each other. Now it's getting unnecessary fancy and sophisticated. The great merit is the ability to balance their weaknesses with the creativity of coming
up always with new ideas. Like, the garden is very small and must be shared between 4 different rooms stage, or the classes are small and overcrowded. But children are taken out to the local park or to Bromley high street very often. Because of the number of kids per room, you have a disproportionate number of temporary staff, assistants, casual workers who don't always know exactly who is your child. Communication is always a bit fragmented. Management is the most questionable part. Fees are constantly revised and increased. When my first child started it was £58 per day, now after 5 years they just raised to £77. The question is: is it worth it?

Fantastic nursery. Staff are always so happy and helpful. Our little boy loves his time here mainly because of the lovely baby room, staff and exciting activities they do each day in lovely surroundings. The outdoor area being covered is such a bonus as means they always get fresh air each day which

We are so pleased with how both our son and daughter have settled in at Monkey Puzzle. The staff are amazing, so attentive and have built really good relationships with my children. Their speech has improved massively since joining and they look forward to Thursdays.

Our son has attended this nursery for fifteen months now and has always been very happy. He has had two great keyworkers and has had no issues with moving rooms. We have been so pleased with his progress and the fact that he loves going.

The nursery is owned by local businessman Arlind Marku, who graduated from Middlesex University in 2007 with a BA Hons in Business Studies and Italian. Since graduating he has run a number of family businesses, always with the intention of returning back to his dream of owning a children’s day nursery. Arlind always aspired “to own a nursery that is full of happiness and joy, creating an environment where children can thrive”. He grew up with very strong family values where children’s upbringing and education was always paramount. “I believe that a child’s successful journey starts from very early education so it was extremely important for me to choose a site which provides the best setting for children to have enjoyable and fun learning experiences”. I enjoy using my business knowledge and passion for children to support our team and improve the opportunities for our children. I am a firm believer that children are our future and we must give them an understanding of how powerful, important, valuable and perfect they are. Keeping children safe and happy alongside meeting and developing their needs will always be at the forefront of what we value as a team."

Stacy Cooper

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2015

Stacy qualified with a CACHE level 3 in Childcare and Education. She also has 11 years of experience in childcare with 2-3-year-olds. Stacy has received MAKATON training from the lady who trained Mr Tumble (Justin Fletcher) and although working in childcare is challenging she finds it incredibly rewarding. Working with children has always been a passion of Stacy’s since she was 9 and has been the best career choice she could have made.


When asked why she wanted to work in childcare Stacy said “The reason I work with children is that they are our future generation and I take pride in knowing that I have made an impact on the most important years of their lives.”

Nick Huddart

Job Title: Operations Manager Joined: 2019

Nick has been working within early years for over 15 years and joined the company as our Operations Manager. Nick supports our Bromley, Orpington and Tunbridge Wells nurseries providing valuable support to our management teams and overseeing recruitment and operations of the nurseries.
“Our vision is to create a wonderful space where children will be safe, cared for, loved and happy. Our children and families will always remain at the centre of what we do. We will provide a space where children and our team can learn, grow and develop with support, encouragement and positivity being the keys to ensuring a high-quality provision.” Nick has previously worked for Asquith Nurseries where he began as a volunteer. He completed his Early Years qualification and worked towards becoming Manager of the company’s flagship nursery helping to achieve an Outstanding Ofsted grade twice and being held over 9 years. Nick’s passion is focused upon supporting both the children’s and the team’s development and helping to deliver the highest standards of childcare across all areas of the nursery. The best part of the day though is always seeing the smiles on the children’s faces as they laugh, learn and play. Nick is a huge sports fan, who especially enjoys football, tennis and cycling. He also loves watching films, reading, visiting the seaside and meeting up with friends over a good cup of coffee to help relax.

Emma Thomas

I am based at our Bromley branch, but I also support our Orpington and Tunbridge Wells nurseries.


I have worked in Early Years for over 10 years, and I could not imagine doing anything else. I love being a part of watching the children develop and grow, supporting them to reach their personal milestones.


I have previously supported and led Ofsted inspections, supporting nurseries to achieve Outstanding outcomes. I felt extremely proud that we had achieved the highest standards for our families and team.


I have had experience in a variety of different roles. I started my childcare journey, newly qualified as a bank member of staff. I was offered a full-time position as a nursery nurse, and not long after,r I became a Room Supervisor and began to develop my leadership skills.


A few years later, I was given the opportunity to work as a third in charge in the nursery. This is where I gained more managerial skills and began the children and the teams across a range of ages. After a few years, I was a Deputy Manager where my passion for supporting children continued to flourish and I added the role of SENDCO, supporting children with additional needs and further developing our inclusive practice.


I continue to support many children with additional needs, their families and our staff teams with children’s learning outcomes working closely with the Bromley Borough and relevant agencies.


As part of my role, I support with providing enabling environments and with the quality of teaching and learning.


In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and going on holiday to visit new places.

Sharon Lucas

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2025

My favourite part of working with children is building on the high quality care and education, with a strong focus on the teaching and learning. Watching and being a part of children flourishing with a passion for learning is important to me.


I have worked in Early Years since 2002 as a Practitioner and then from 2007 onwards in management. I have a vast experience within Early Years Care and Education and believe that these are the most important and formative years.


I have achieved the completion of my B.A Honours in Early Years Development as well as hold Early Years Professional Status and have previously achieved an Outstanding grading from Ofsted.


In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, truck racing, classic 80’s and 90’s Ford cars, Disney and Halloween!
