My son has attended for the last two years. The staff are fantastic and always ready to help. The learning environments accommodate different activities for each child to learn through play and develop independent skills, socialise and communicate. There is a lovely outdoor area always being used no matter the weather. My 3-year-old son said I like the bike in the garden, I like the nursery food and he really enjoys the arts and crafts and I love seeing his creations.
The staff are very good with her and I am astounded at her progress and how confident she is. When she speaks, I know she is soaking up lots at nursery. Spontaneously singing songs and having conversations about her friends. She loves telling what they did.
It is a really nice place, the staff are friendly, and the security is good. Outside play space is OK. Reporting what she has done during the day is good. Not just "oh a good day". The family app is a great addition when you are in a rush. She seems to like the food. Tells me she eats stuff she won't try at home. She is happy.
We have had a really good experience so far with Little Elms Daycare Nursery. Our toddler loves her key worker so much, some days she doesn’t want to come home! The nursery is clean and spacious with lots of engaging toys, a nice garden and friendly staff.
Staff are polite and very accommodating. Very child centered. My son loves it there, always happy to go, comes home and tells me all about his day and is always excited at the end of the day. Nursery is very convenient for commute and the opening times is good for getting to work.
My daughter has been going there since she was a year old. She has grown so much, she learnt so much. She looks forward to going to nursery. We love it as the staff are friendly, lovely and very accommodating and important they care and look after her. Would highly recommend them. Keep up the good work Little Elms Daycare Nursery.
My daughter used to attend Little Elms Daycare Nursery a few years ago and now my son also does and they have always loved it! I love how the staff are so approachable and so willing to help at all times. A great nursery, never afraid to give the kids cuddles when needed!
Great Nursery, my little one has been going since she was ten months and you can see how much she has developed. Everyone always greets her by name and also any family members who collect her. I would definitely recommend it for peace of mind when going to work
He loves the garden. He has also taught me lots of songs!
Happy mum, happy child!
My daughter loves this nursery, she settled In really well (went to a different nursery before this one). The staff are really friendly, kind and caring towards the children. My daughter has made friends and always talks about her day and what she has done. She has loads of allergies and the staff have been amazing with catering to all her needs.
My only issue is the way the fees are worked out with the funding. The fees can change from month to month, which is a problem. I think they should work it out where the fees and funding are divided by the 12 months so the fees are exactly the same each month. This is what my daughter's previous nursery did and it's so much better because you are not caught out in a month where the fees can be £100 more than a previous month. Apart from that the nursery, staff and facilities are amazing.
Our son has been in nursery since one year old. Initially a very anxious parent. Staff always take time to offer reassurance, support and advice. Our son is now in pre-school thriving. We are in awe at his knowledge at such a young age. They offer a broad and wide curriculum based around current affairs. Our son is happy, confident and well-loved!
Very friendly nursery. My child loves attending every morning. He enjoys the food and is always happy to be there. Place is a bit crowded and outside space could be bigger but I guess I am looking at it from the adult's perspective. Good communication with management and the loveliest staff you can imagine.
I can only be honest with reviews. I must admit that in the beginning, I had my complaints, but after speaking to the staff members about my queries, I realised that everything could be solved with communication. My oldest child attended this nursery, I don't think I would want to change that fact. My youngest now attends, and he absolutely loves it. The staff members know him by ear mostly, and by sight. He adores each and every one of them. He can be very visual when he dislikes a person and I have never been witness to that since he has been attending. I'd just like to let the staff know that they are doing a great job, improvements could be made, but nothing major. Keep up the good work everyone.
Like any parent, I was so worried about sending my kids off to nursery when I returned to work. But this nursery really alleviated my fears. They clearly adore working with infants and small children, and our twins love attending. One of our twins has some additional needs, and they've gone out of their way to be supportive - which means so much to us in many ways - it really has made a difference.
of his ‘school readiness’. The staff and management here are dedicated to the care of the children and are highly professional at all times. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and my child settled extremely quickly when he first began. The facilities and setting ensure my child is safe, happy and well stimulated.
Amazing setting! Like a 5* resort! Activities on tap, wide range of resources, indoor and outdoor activities, trips out to the community and local park and an extensive menu! My boys eat better than we do! Italian fish stew, roast of the week, fresh fruit and lemon sorbet! Staff are amazing; kind, caring, helpful, understanding, engaged in the children’s learning and keen to share things with you. Feedback is daily and detailed. The boys have been there since they were 3 months old and I couldn’t be happier. Most importantly? I feel safe and happy leaving them at Shirley.
Brilliant, caring nursery and staff. My daughter has been with them since she was 9 months old. I always trusted that my baby was in the best care so that I could return to work with peace of mind. She gets fresh food and does lots of activities each week and seasonal themes.
My son has attended the nursery from when he was 15 months through to pre-school. During that time, I have not had any concerns or issues with the nursery.
My son has always enjoyed attending. I have watched him become a bright, independent and sociable child and I credit the staff for that.
He has met all the EYFS targets and in some cases exceeded them. Again, that is down to the staff and all the varied activities the nursery provides.
I think the nursery offers good value for money. In all the time my son attended, the fees have remained the same. The sessions on offer are practical for working parents. They are are also good if you only want a couple of sessions a week rather than every day.
The only niggle for me is the staff/management turnover, which is typical across the industry. Thankfully my son never seemed concerned with any changes.
Overall I've had a positive experience with the nursery and my younger child will be attending very soon.
My daughter has been attending Little Elms Daycare in Shirley since 12 months old. I can honestly say that her carers have helped her with development in so many ways, with walking, sharing, alphabet, counting, building relationships, exploring and so much more. She recently moved to the toddler's room and I can already see her progressing to a new level in communication skills. I am incredibly grateful to the team and management for their level of care and great environment.
My first daughter has been with the nursery for nearly 3 years and we have seen some staff come and go. I would say that since their last Ofsted report they have really picked up and improved things as the last 8 months they really struggled. You can see the new improvements and the children look happier. They have some really strong and caring staff members there that are very passionate about the nursery and the children and are an asset to that nursery. I hope they continue their journeys.
A very loving and caring place, where my daughter looks forward to attending every day. Thank you.
