Bright Horizons Heron Quays Nursery provides high-quality care and education for children as young as three months to five years. With a ‘good’ Ofsted rating (Nov 2019), the spacious nursery operates five rooms within the nursery, each one tailored to the children’s age groups, enabling them to safely explore and follow their own interests. This nursery provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and develop to their full potential.

Babies are fully supported in moving from home to nursery as they follow their individual routines, making this a smooth and positive transition for all the family. There’s a milk station and nursing area, so you can feel relaxed and have privacy while taking care of the little one.

The team works closely with families to support children’s individual learning outcomes through weekly learning and playing-from-home programmes. The curriculum is carefully designed to encourage curiosity, independence and a love for learning. Educators plan a variety of stimulating activities and experiences that promote language development, social skills, numeracy and creative expression. Children are encouraged to learn through play, fostering a sense of joy and enthusiasm for learning.

When it comes to outdoor play, children are truly spoiled with the beautiful garden area and adventure garden, which includes age-appropriate toys and activities.

Additionally, the parents’ space gives families a private and welcoming area to chat with them about their child’s needs.

Happy tummies are important; that’s why a balanced menu is freshly prepared by their own onsite chef and changed regularly to encourage children to try new food.

My son has been at the nursery since he was 11 months old, he is now three and a half.
He has developed really well throughout his time at Heron Quays and enjoys his time there. I feel that he is well prepared to start school. I would recommend Heron Quays as a nursery.

Our daughter started here last September so has fully settled in now. I can honestly say she loves going to nursery every day, which is always such a relief to any parent. The staff in her room are always warm and welcoming and look genuinely happy to see her. She has definitely bonded with them and
it has all been wonderful for her socialisation, learning and development. In terms of areas for potential improvement, it would be nice for the babies to go outside when weather permits. I feel sometimes attention to detail is lacking, especially with nappy changing, keeping faces clean, end-of-day feedback forms etc. In general, we continue to be happy here and management are supportive and proactive in general.

Our child is in baby room which has lots of toys, activities, dining areas and cots. Having a cot was really important for us and helped our child feel more at home. The staff are very friendly, helpful and has been very good at taking note of our wishes and requests.

Our daughter is at Heron Quays Day Nursery since she was 1 year old. We are quite satisfied by the services, the staff is very caring. My daughter is very happy and settled easily in her rooms from the beginning. She is now in pre-school level and they are already learning the fundamentals to start
school properly next September, writing their names, disciplines, building social skill, being more and more independent etc.
The nursery is also quite multicultural, it is good for her to be involved in such environment. I would recommend the nursery for any parent who especially works nearby.

The staff members were very helpful during the settling in sessions to make my child feel comfortable.

My son joined Heron Quays Day Nursery & Preschool in Aug 2017. We relocated in London from Luxemburg. I was very happy with the way my son's English skills were supported by the team. They even learned some French words to ease his transition and make sure he was understood.

My daughter was enrolled at the Nursery when she was 1 and is now 1.5 years old and is already showing positive signs when it comes to being confident, communicating with us and others, involvement in various activities and speech, of course, she is very talkative. She recognizes her carers and loves
them to bits and it is comforting to see the love and kindness they shower on her. The nursery has a feedback orientated model and takes parents feedback seriously and most importantly considers and implements the feedback, which ensures continuous improvement of services, which already is a benchmark for such an institution. At times, we need flexibility with our daughter's nursery schedule and the front office staff and management have always been considerate and try to accommodate our request (wherever possible), which is a massive relief for us. I would recommend this place any day of the year and am confident that my review and feedback will help other parents like us. Thank you team!

We chose this nursery for our daughter for two reasons, close proximity to work and because it has been a renowned and established brand 'Bright Horizons' in child care for several years now. What surprised my wife and I was the standard of ethics and professionalism their staff and management demonstrate
each day. It is beyond words and applause.

For me, as a parent the safety of my child is paramount. For that, I fully trust this nursery.
Outside facilities are limited but this is normal in London.
Some of the nurses are fantastic but the preparation standards vary a lot among nurses.

The Heron Quays Nursery is a very good nursery. From management to staff, everybody makes you feel at home and cared about. The childcare provided is excellent and I'd definitely recommend it for any kids. The price tag is high but compared to similar facilities, Heron Quays is doing very well. If you
can afford it, don't hesitate.

Staff are very dedicated and genuinely care for the children. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with an emphasis on caring and learning key skills. The nursery has outside space and interesting activities every day such as music, cooking and PE and my daughter learns a lot there. She loves going
to see her friends and the practitioners and often tells me to hurry up in the mornings!

It was unfortunate that our daughter had problems settling in due to getting sick a lot during the same period, therefore we cannot have a clear opinion.
However, the room leader was very kind to try to reassure us for our daughter's welfare in the nursery.

This nursery's management team is excellent. I found the ladies very easy to talk to, they listen to your feedback and implement changes immediately; it gives me peace of mind knowing that whatever happens, I have a team of people who would always listen to my concerns and take action on them. Also
the staff in the nursery are caring and kind, joyful and energetic to not only care for the ladybirds but to also entertain and help develop the little ones emotionally and physically; it is important for little ones to laugh and having nurses who are happy and joyful during the day is an absolute advantage and a rare asset; our key person is learning a few of our native words so that she connects better with the baby; baby has settled quite quickly and enjoys her time in the nursery.

We have 3 boys at Heron Quays and they enjoy it very much, especially the twins who have been there since they were babies.


The practitioners, especially the boys' key person, look after the boys very well. They are caring, thoughtful and alert.


The management team are receptive to feedback and

listen well to make necessary changes if required. All the staff are professional and friendly and the environment is pleasant. It would be better if there was more garden space.

The nursery is great and offers fantastic facilities. The staff in the rooms are generally very good and my daughter has a great relationship with her Key Worker. It is very clean and bright.


The management is certainly improving and the communication between parents and staff is getting better.

There have been times in the past where this has not been the case, and the management can be a little impersonal. This is definitely changing and I feel more involved and better informed than I have in previous years.


The staff try as hard as possible to make sure that the children spend time outside, although this is difficult in such a central London location.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Over the past 30 years, I have worked with children. I began my teaching career in an independent school where I taught music and drama to children aged three to sixteen.


During my teaching career, I realised how much I enjoyed working with young children and decided to further my education and become a Level 4 Early Years Practitioner. In addition to managing After School and Holiday Clubs, I have an additional understanding of how the Playwork Principles influence early childhood education.


Even though I'm now the manager at Heron Quays, my dedication to the children has no limits and while I will be looking after the nursery, my focus will be to introduce all my children to music and drama.


Whether it be singing to soothe babies or directing the preschool Christmas Extravaganza! I look forward to welcoming you and your child to my nursery.

Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager

I have been working at Bright Horizons since 2017 supporting our Chelsea Nursery where I worked as a Preschool Room Leader, progressing to the Third in Charge. I soon transferred over to Bright Horizons Heron Quays where I supported the nursery for over a year as the Deputy Manager. I have just returned from maternity leave and have had a baby boy. I am passionate about my job and love working with children. Watching them grow and develop is what makes me happy.
